I'm not a huge fan of kung fu tea but I wanted boba and it was there at the downstairs food court of Ballston quarters where i had an appointment. Why am I not a fan of kung fu tea? Their teas are too mild and watery. They taste like sugar water. Not authentic. This location is no different. I added regular boba and it was hard (and stale). :/ It might be just my imagination but I thought it was a few dollars cheaper than the tyson's locations i normally go to.

Kung Fu Tea is literally one of the best spots added to Ballston Quarters...at least it's one of my fav!! Can't get enough and it's an added bonus that the staff are so friendly.

I frequently visit Kung Fu Tea to pick up iced honey tea, lemonade tea or grapefruit green tea. They have slushies, coffee and milk beverages with a huge selection of flavors for the occasion and season. The options of customizing your drinks from selection of toppings, variety of teas, sugar levels and ice levels gives an unlimited amount of beverage creation. The staff exceptional and friendly service compliment with the positive atmosphere is an added bonus to aid with not being intimidated by the customization of beverages. Kung Fu Tea is worth checking out while visiting Ballston Market.

So happy they opened in Ballston Quarter! They have many options across espresso, slush/frozen drinks, milk teas, and tons of new flavors. There are so many to choose from so it's a bit overwhelming, but you can't go wrong with any of the milk teas. My favorites are the Thai, oolong, oolong with honey and winter melon milk tea. The boba are fresh, sweet and not frozen like some other places! We will for sure be back.

I loooove bubba tea. Came to this location in Ballston Quarter. I always get the Taro Milk Tea at any bobba tea shop and this time was no different. The drink was not overly too sweet, it was just right. I enjoyed this drink. Would be back here when I'm in the area.

If you're brave and agree with all of the ingredients, I recommend trying the topping boom: herbal jelly, peanuts (yes, peanuts), coconut, golden raisins (yup, it's like a trail mix in a drink form), red bean, milk, fresh brewed tea, and boba (the most normal parts of the drink). This pairs well if you have any Chinese pastry buns. Mango drinks have been our favorites, especially the mango yogurt drink, as long as if you like your drinks a little tart. Removing one star since we were disappointed with the mango pomelo drink. I understood that less ice meant 10% less ice, but I didn't think that meant 90% of the ENTIRE cup was 90% ice. Slushes are the way to go. And if you have the option, opt for less ice or no ice. Seating is pretty standard and there's lots of parking in addition to their small pocket of parking since it's a plaza.

I like to try and venture from what everyone normally orders when I read reviews. So, I went with the Pikachu drink and added aloe vera jelly. I did add a chicken karaage snack, too. Service was quick and there is a good amount of seating available, too. Parking is ample although it was super busy during my visit and I had to circle a couple of times. At least it's free! My Pikachu drink was sooo good! I wish I had gotten the larger one instead. I've never had a yogurt tea drink and this was a great first experience! The chicken karaage was just as delicious! And there was a LOT for the price. Actually, pricing for everything seemed pretty good! I sat inside and enjoyed the Asian pop music in the background while enjoying my order. I was so impressed that I ordered another drink to go, the Brown Sugar Tiger Milk w/o toppings. I don't like super sweet drinks so I always order 10% sweet. It was still pretty sweet even cut down! It was good but a little too sweet for my liking while the Pikachu was the right amount of sweetness at 10% sweet. This location didn't have the Ube Milk Tea but that just means that I'll have to venture to support one of their sister locations so that I can try that drink, too!

On our first visit, they'd already run out of papaya salad despite just having opened. We ordered the So Mint Cooler, which was refreshing but a bit too sour, and a matcha latte that was just average. On our second visit, the papaya salad was a letdown, with barely any beef jerky, and the dish felt so unpolished I could probably make a better version at home. We ordered two drinks: lychee tea and volcano mango. The lychee tea was nothing special, and the volcano mango was supposed to come with a seasoned mango and tajín eatable "straw", but we got a regular one instead. When we asked about it, the staff just said they'd run out. No apology, no heads up until we asked. It felt dismissive. The staff seemed inexperienced overall. I initially assumed this was a self kiosk ordering kind of place, but the second visit made it feel more like a sit down restaurant. Either way, no one checked in beyond taking our order and dropping off the food, so it never felt like a full dining experience. Parking is easy, since it's a combined restaurant and tea shop. I don't think I'll be back.
