I think their menu descriptions are confusing for those who don't order a ton of bobba tea. Some of the items I thought with come with bobba, didn't and the names for the tapioca bubbles was different then I had seen before. The passion fruit green tea was great, one of my favorite items. I got a roasted chestnut milk tea with tapioca bubbles and was really confused on what the other item in the bottom was (was it nuts, was it candy?). In additional to the extensive list of drinks, this location also offers KFT branded snacks that I have not seen at any other location. This included mango, strawberry, 13-spice and "cooked egg" flavored popcorn, and two different types of KFT themed gummy candies. Take my money! I initially planned to order my favorite go-to drink, a large ginger milk with almond milk and crystal bubbles, but unfortunately, this location does not offer almond milk. Instead, I ordered a rosehip lemonade with mango popping bubbles and a pineapple sunshine tea with nata jelly. Both of the drinks were fantastic, but that nata jelly took my tea to the next level. It was almost $8 for a regular-sized matcha slush with regular boba and mango boba. I will say that the matcha flavor was spot on. Sometimes matcha flavor is drowned out by sugary sweetness or vanilla. In this case it was perfect with just a hint of sweetness. My visit to Kung Fu Tea was otherwise unremarkable. I'd say it's an OK place if you have a craving for bubble tea. FYI, parking in this area is a challenge. You're limited to a few meters here and there. But that's about it for me. I got the Kung Fu Black Milk Tea with Grass Jelly (almost $6 after tax) and it lacks tea flavor. I could barely pick out any of the tea flavor in my drink. The milk flavor is also pretty weak, and overall my drink was pretty watery. This location definitely has more milk than tea for their milk tea drinks. I don't think I will get this drink here again when I come back. Perhaps a fruit tea is good? Again, great place to hang out, but the drink I got was pretty subpar. read more

Great location, great product. This area has so many Starbucks, but what it really needed was this KF Tea! The location is very close to the Clarendon metro stop, so get off here and grab your boba fix. Can't go wrong with almost anything on the menu, and I especially appreciate the ability to adjust the sweetness level, since I don't like it too sweet. Also make sure to download their app to earn rewards for your purchases. A perfect summer day for me would involve picking up a sunshine pineapple tea with regular boba and then walking around Clarendon playing pokémon. But more often than not, I'm picking up that tea on my way to the office, sigh. Nevertheless, it hits the spot and makes my day a bit happier. read more

Of the boba options in NOVA this KFT is somehow very inconsistent. I got a black milk tea one time and it definitely tasted like jasmine, but it was still good. Got a taro milk tea a different time with milk cap and 30% sugar and it felt like I was drinking 120% sugar. So I'm not sure what happened there. Review for health conscious people: I am pretty health conscious but I have my guilty pleasures and for a while Kung Fu tea was my guilty pleasure, because let's face it, it's delicious. However, I feel that a review is necessary as their menu is extremely deceiving and I feel like it is intentionally misleading. After getting somewhat hooked, I wanted to cut down on my sugar consumption but then found that they offer "green tea with a splash of *fresh* orange juice". Which became my go-to and I felt like I could easily order this with no guilt. After a couple of times of really enjoying but feeling like it was too good to be true, I dug around quite a bit to finally find out that everything.. and I mean everything on their menu is saturated in high fructose corn syrup. And that their fresh orange juice is a combination of a a few things that are really bad. Again, their menu is extremely misleading in telling people that their orange green tea is just fresh orange juice and tea, and that the lemon green tea, is fresh lemonade, cane sugar, and tea. There needs to be more transparency to educate people of what their actually signing up for when going for these "teas". Never again. read more

Great little boba shop in the heart of downtown Clarendon. This one sells poke, too! The wait time is longer than other boba places I've been to, but Arlington is naturally more crowded all the time. I ordered the new sesame matcha boba and it was a great flavor! The sesame seeds made the texture a little different, but I still liked it. My friend asked for her black milk tea less sweet, but it was still really sweet. Apparently you can order sweetness by percentage, so be sure to be clear when ordering. Love it! A few friends and I came here after lunch on a weekday. This actually a huge chain, but the first location I've ever been to. It's a pretty cute soace with a decent amount of seating. The group of us ordered a couple of different drinks out if the huge variety of options. We were a little confused at first because the boba is listed under "toppings" so when we were asked if we wanted topping we assumed that meant whip cream or sprinkles for the top of the drink and we said no at first. Convenient location right beside the Clarendon metro, but parking can be difficult to find at times. The drinks are solid and you can adjust the ice and sugar level to your liking. Highly recommend the milk oolong tea, mango snow, or any of the punch drinks for first timers. The only drawback is that this location is slightly stingy on their toppings compared to other KFT locations. I always ask for double bubbles at this location when I order my drinks. Very happy that there is finally a Kung Fu Tea in Arlington. It is now the closest one to me, so I don't need to travel out to Eden Center as often. I usually get the taro milk tea with no sugar and bubbles. Although I ask for no sugar, taro has a naturally sweet taste, so I think there may be some sugar in the drink. Highly recommend getting the kung fu tea app, so you get rewards. This particular location is smaller than some of the others, but they have several tables and chairs if you feel like hanging around for a little bit. They are always playing good music here. Most recently, they were playing some upbeat techno music when I was hear. KFT is usually pretty reliable but I'm really disappointed in my experience today. The young woman had poor customer service. I ordered a Thai milk tea. I saw that as they were trying to make it, they were out of Thai tea. When I receive my order it's not the usual orange of Thai tea so I ask the cashier and she says "It says Thai tea." I ask again because it looks like regular tea and she says "Our tea doesn't have food color." I guess I'm disappointed in the matter-of-face statement "It says Thai tea" as if I can't read....The same woman also interrupted a conversation I was having with another employee fairly abruptly. read more

Love Kung Fu Tea and I've been going to several of their other locations (Tyson's, Annadale, Centreville, and Eden Center). Same menu with all the options. My favorites include the Taro Slush and the traditional milk tea. Try to go with the 70% sugar if you want something a little normal. I would say normal 100% sugar can be too sweet. Though it has varied on location I've been to. I've been to this particular location twice. They have a few things to work out with their operations (speed, quality control, and learning curve with menu for newer employees). I won't let that impact them unlike other reviews.
