Nice place, right near CU in the heart of the Hill. The staff is very efficient and the place is always clean. Can be nearly empty mid day when school is not in session. But other times, just packed m. I have not been here recently at night so could be anything. The music is fairly loud and voices bounce off all the hard surfaces. But not as annoying as you might think. Lots of all ages. Even moms with kids, lots of groups of college students but even a smattering of seniors too. They only have drinks. They no longer carry the nice sweet little cakes they had when they first opened this store. I wish they would bring them back. read more

I have gotten a couple different drinks from here and they are all always good. Great pick me up right next to campus during studying sessions or on the walk home after a long class. I don't believe there was a private parking lot and street parking was scarce so one of my girls stayed in the car while my other girlfriend and I went inside to do the drink run. I can't remember the exact name of the drink I ordered but it was something along the lines of Ginger Milk Tea with boba -- it was fantastic. Not too sweet or creamy with just the right hints of ginger. My girlfriends enjoyed their drinks also. Be sure to adjust the sweetness and ice levels to your preference. I noticed the menu shared that the milk used is powder which I'm not a huge fan of so if you aren't either -- perhaps, order it with less milk. I was super excited when I found out that there was a Kung Fu Tea in Boulder. The boba that I've had at other locations have always been of perfect quality, and this location was no different. However, I was surprised when I ordered the Winter Melon milk tea and found that it tasted different than the ones I've had at other locations. That being said, I wasn't too bothered as the drink still tasted really good. My friend got Taro milk tea, which is my normal go-to. I was shocked by how different that one tasted as well. I suppose not all Kung Fu Tea's are not the same. We still enjoyed our drinks and will forever keep Kung Fu Tea high up on our list of boba shops. read more

I love the selection at Kung Fu Tea - you know it's Asian-friendly due to the handful of drinks made with Lactaid. :) My preferred drink: Mango Tea with boba (comes with lychee or mango bits or something). I opted to eschew the normal boba cup and plastic cover, keeping in line with my goal of reducing waste & plastic waste, and asked for my drink to be made in my to-go coffee mug. It was a toasty weekend and we were trying to blow some time off before our reservation for hiking at the Rockies. We were hanging around Boulder Uni when I got thirsty and was craving roasted oolong. Thankfully, it seems like because it was close to to a college that tea stores were more frequent. We landed at KungFu Tea after browsing around the area. I ordered a honey roasted oolong, half honey and light ice. Oooof, it was actually REALLY good. Very strong tea profile with the nice roasted flavor that I like (sometimes other place's roasted oolong is very light in taste and not really my preferred cup kind of brew). It was also the perfect lightly sweet that complimented the tea so well. I was super happy with my order and loved my drink, it was refreshing in the Colorado heat! read more

One of my top favorite bubble tea chain places to go to. They always serve fresh brewed tea (none of that powdery sh*t), and sometimes freshly made desserts. The tastes is always consistent, my choice is their king fu milk tea with bubbles, always quenches my thirst and gives me that extra chewy texture when I want to also munch on something. The have clean bathrooms, free fast WiFi, and great customer service. They're opening one in Colorado Springs soon, can't wait! It has been a tradition for us to stop by a Kung Fu Tea in every city we go to. It is still my favorite boba shop/franchise. Quality here is still the same as all the other cities we have been to. You can't go wrong with Oolong milk tea or honey milk tea with with popping bubbles or grass jelly. Parking sucks though. We parked illegally at the Walgreens employee parking for 5 minutes around the corner. I guess it's target customer are the college students who can just walk there. read more

Update May-27th-2018: I tried out their new Thai milk tea this weekend. It was a meh compared to other specialized Thai restaurants I have been to. Would not recommend. Stopped by this store after a hike near boulder as a treat to myself. The store was clean and the interior was cute. This branch did not seem to be as busy as the one in Denver. I was there on a Sunday at around 2pm. Only 1 table was taken. There were 2 staffs at the cashier with no waiting line. Music at this store was not as loud as the Denver store, which I prefer. As shown on their flyers, this Kung Fu tea branch serves lunch meal. I am highly curious to come back to try the lunch combo since the pictures looked pretty good. I ordered my routine kung fu milk tea with herbal jelly add-on. Taste of the tea was good as usual with perfect amount of milk and cream. As part of our tradition of going to every Kung Fu Tea imaginable, we saw this place in Boulder and wanted to check it out. This place is pretty much comparable to all the other Kung Fu Teas that we have been to. However, the only one thing that I had concern, that probably no one else has is the parking in this town is pretty horrendous. I do believe though that you could park somewhere for $.25 but I didn't go actively look as I was only there in the area to check it out and drive through it. But, this KFT is definitely a place to just park and walk to. I parked in the alleyway and we took turns as far as watching the car and making sure it wouldn't be towed. Otherwise, if you're here for Boba Tea, you're pretty much in the right place as KFT does it right using real tea. If you want my opinion: Oolong Milk Tea with your boba. I'm not as much of a sweet tooth so I always do the 0% sugar and 0% ice route along with popping boba or lychee jelly. But please don't do like 120% sugar because I've seen it, and I don't know why someone would need that much sugar...plus I'm looking out for your health! Summer's here and school's out, which means it's the perfect time of year to venture up to the Hill and check out this Kung Fu Tea place we keep driving by. I came here last Friday and parked in the little lot right next to the tea shop with no issues. Kung Fu Tea was empty except for a few folks, so there was no line to wait through and I got my drink only a few minutes after ordering. With so many options, I ended up going with the classic honey green tea with boba and pudding. YES....they have pudding here! I have yet to find another boba place in the area that offers pudding, so bonus points for that. I was a bit sad to see that it was broken up in bits and not warm like freshly made pudding tends to be, but that's just a personal preference. Looking forward to coming back again sometime this summer, though it'll be tough to narrow it down to one flavor again! read more

Looked exactly like your college campus, the staff was quick & friendly to make sure your order was how you like it. During Covid the chairs were not put out. My friends ordered Mango Slush w/ popping boba & mango jelly (5/5) sesame slush w/ boba (5/5) rose hip milk tea (4/5) passion fruit green tea (3/5). My go to is the passion fruit at most boba places, they didn't add the passion suit seeds which adds extra goodness. The rose hip definitely had a rose touch to it but if you don't drink rose often you might think it taste like perfume from the fragrance. It sounded refreshing when you see it on the menu though. Lastly, their slush is so on point! Definitely try any flavor they have, I was so surprised to try the sesame slush and have it taste sweet and savory. They had a perfect combo along with the sweetest soft honey boba that topped off the drink. With the mango slush, can't go wrong with adding more mango jelly stars if you love mango! Was my first time here and was ordering in a rush due to some complications with an order I was making for another person in absentia, and they didn't even offer me the sugar and ice customizing options. I went back after the fact and told them I wanted less sugar and no ice. I hate too much ice in my milk tea. Pet peeve. So I was also irritated that they didn't ask me my preferences here. Also, the boba was not good. It was hard and just bleh on the inside. I like soft, warm, chewy boba. Not hard, dry boba that is a nuisance to chew. Happened to be in town for their grand opening week. Similar size and feel to other Kung Fu Teas, though their seasonal specials were not as good and the service wasn't as good (though I'm from the south so this might be why I expect friendly service). Get less sugar here. You can also adjust the ice levels as well. I opted for the hot taro here at 50% sweet and wasn't disappointedd. It sits right by campus in The Hill area. Parking is a bit hard to come by, but there's some street parking and some parking lots you can pay for. I don't think they were prepared for a large group of us towards closing time, but they accommodated well enough. read more

KFT is my favorite boba tea franchise. Whenever there is a KFT anywhere in the US, I try to make a visit. This KFT is near CU. Parking is tough. So if you want to drop in to get some tea, that will be difficult. It sucks when you have to pay for parking just to get a $4 tea. The flavors and boba were all consistent and tasted same as the other KFTs I've visited all over. You can still use your KFT app to pay for drinks and get rewards for future purchases. My favorite is the Oolong Milk Tea. That is addictive like crack. Other good teas include their house Milk Tea, winter melon, and others. You can't go wrong. read more

Coronavirus is not stopping me from getting my boba. I love that I can order from the app and just pick it up. Makes it easy for me since parking is a bit difficult to find. I have my boyfriend park somewhere nearby with the engine running while I run in there and grab our drinks. The customers in there were socially distancing today and there was a separate line for pickup. Looks like they offer services through Doordash and Ubereats too (I might have seen a Postmate sign on the counter). The employees were all wearing their masks and all the chairs have been put up. Aside the new "covid normal", Kung Fu Tea still manages to come out with new seasonal drinks and once in awhile I get notified and run like the wind to try them out. Hands down, best boba spot in town. There are only a handful of boba shops around the area, and I've gotta say-- this one places first in my heart. I have been frequenting this spot since before the quarantine and even though a lot has changed, you can't go wrong with boba! My favorite go-to is their house milk tea. Perfecting the right taste of a simple milk tea is an art, and they've definitely got it! All of the employees wear masks and gloves to help prevent contamination and on top of that, the drinks are always sealed. To be extra careful, I always ask if my order could be brought out to my car to avoid any cross-contamination on my part. Remember: if you want your drink delivered, make sure to ask for ice on the side so it doesn't melt on the way! The employees are very considerate because of that. read more

I went to Kung Fu Tea for the first time today with my friend. We usually go to Lollicup around the corner but we wanted to try this place out. There are not a lot of boba places in the Boulder area, It's pretty good, it has a modern twist on an Asian look on the inside. Over all really aesthetically pleasing. I got the Taro slush with boba and my friend got the Kung Fu Milk tea with boba. Thy were both very good, in my opinion I think it was a little to sweet for my taste. However that being said I am definitely coming back to try more things and I would suggest to come here if you like boba. It has good boba for the price. This place is very good. I went here because it's new and I love boba. I got the lychee punch with bubbles, and I recommend it to everyone. My only complaint is when I got there, they were out of coffee and the lady working there was really annoyed that people kept asking for coffee drinks. And a word of warning: the drinks are very sweet. I ordered 50% sugar and it was quite sugary.
