I absolutely love Kung Fu Tea, I highly recommend the Black Tea with Milk and Boba. They have new boba candy that is super yummy and several flavors to pick from. I do miss the Merch as far as phone covers, tote bags, and etc. Kung Fu still has Merch but it's more food/beverage related. The nicest touch to Kung Fu Tea, is the covered drinks they serve, it really cuts down on germs being exchanged during this pandemic. I love the decor as well!!

Earlier this summer, I was told that the Charlottesville KFT was going to launch a line of alcoholic drinks and I was offered an opportunity to try one! I was blown away by the Blue Lychee Lemonade, which uses Blue Curacao and Bacardi and comes with a lychee jam that has lychee bits inside. As per a recommendation, I asked for the crystal bubbles in the drink, which are chewy agar bubbles that are lighter than normal tapioca bubbles. The drink itself is a pretty clear blue color, super aesthetically pleasing especially with the lychee floating around. There was a hint of citrus (not too overwhelming), but it did not overpower the lemonade taste. I was prepared for it to be very strong, since the drink contained about 2-3 shots worth of alcohol, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it went down very smoothly. The crystal bubbles were also an amazing addition to the drink, since they matched the fruity lychee flavor and the textures of the toppings worked well with the taste. I'd definitely recommend getting this drink as a daytime pick-me-up and drinking it while it is still cold! Great summertime drink :)

I ordered 2 drinks off DoorDash. Kung fu tea is a franchise, so their drinks stay prettt consistent with every location. I always get matcha cap with red bean or the Thai milk tea. Both always good flavors! Their fruit drinks are always good. The caffeine in their tea is a little strong if you're not used to caffeine. I got my order pretty early, so they were prompt with my order.

One of the classic go-tos for bubble tea. Compared to the other bubble tea places in charlottesville, it definitely stands out. Every flavor I've gotten from there was perfect! One of my favorites is the strawberry milk slush with milk cap and boba. The ginger milk was also amazing, it tasted just like gingerbread. Definitely recommend trying. Also, the atmosphere is chill and a cute place to hang out with friends.

I go here all the time and it it is always the best! I use the app to order so by the time I get there my drink is ready. The inside has such cool paintings on the walls. Don't mind my bad photo over all, 5 stars

Kung fu tea finally dropped their summer drinks, including the rosehip margarita. Yes, you heard that right. Rosehip margarita! Their drinks are so refreshing and delicious. I usually order passionfruit or mango green tea with boba. You can't go wrong with ordering from danbap either. They sell bulgogi bowls, spicy pork bowls, and vegetarian bowls.

Cleanliness Attached you will find pictures of the condition of your facilities bathroom on 07/01/2021. The black mold in the toilet shows a lack of cleaning is an ongoing problem in your business. Aside from the horrible condition of your bathroom the overall appearance of the restaurant shows it needs to be cleaned. I wanted to take off my pants, but I didn't, because then it would've been Hung Fu Tea. What to get: Lemon Black Tea, Hot Milk Teas. What else: See below for more recs. I didn't smell any cow poop while in here. Otherwise it'd be Dung Fu Tea. I stopped pretending to be a turtle when ordering here. Otherwise it'd be Kowabunga Fu Tea. One of my favorite KFT locations with really wonderful service and nice space to sit as well as a few games to play and lots of fun to be had. I didn't need major surgery while in here. If I had, it might've been Collapsed Lung Fu Tea. In terms of drinks, what you should get from Kung Fu tea is the Lemon Black Tea with tapioca or perhaps an Oolong Honey Milk Tea, a Honey milk tea or a Taro Milk Tea. I was asking what kind of beans they had one time. The girl was like "what is this, Mung Fu Tea?" Everything in here tastes good especially the honey milk tea and honey oolong milk tea and regular milk tea but the real star of the show are the fruit drinks. I asked them both "what is the past tense of I Bring Kung Fu Tea?" They incorrectly responded "Brung Fu Tea." I'm addicted to the lemon black tea with tapioca but I also recommend getting off menu drinks - Very Berry as a black tea or pineapple as a black tea perhaps. Regardless make sure you enjoy these wonderful drinks because although this is a chain you won't get much better than the foodie Taiwanese drinks at this authentic chain. I asked one of the many server girls that I love, here, on a date. But then I found out how old she is, or isn't, I should say. So we had to cancel. So it's "Young Fu Tea." I don't really like the green teas because they come out too sweet but if you like sweet stuff that doesn't really taste of tea (like your mother) then you might. I don't perform music in the bathroom anymore. Otherwise it'd be "Sung Fu Tea." Taro is pretty good too. But if you order that, make sure you don't get mistaken for a Tarorist. And I keep seeing girls (and boys) in miniskirts in this location. Now I know why they call it "Sprung Fu Tea."

Yay for finally trying boba! I think I totally took the easy way out. Or maybe it is that good that it tasted like an Oreo milkshake? I admit that I walked in totally lost. Maybe I should have done some research along the way. I had a difficult time getting information from the staff to try and fill in the gaps of my knowledge. After asking for suggestions, I was left high and dry. That facilitated my choice. There are times in which I jump out of my comfort zone, but my first experience with boba wasn't one of those times. I'll swing back by when I have boba reinforcements to help me make a decision.

When you think bubble tea, Kung Fu tea is the pinnacle forefront to satisfying those who enjoy them soft, sticky, gummy little balls in your mouth. Who wouldn't want crack flavor infused balls in their mouth?! Chances are you've heard of them and if you haven't, you must not know who Jon Snow is either. From every other Kung Fu I've been to, they never disappoint in anyway with quality, care, and just out right a damn good product, but this Charlottesville location has raised the bar. Your typical bubble tea place is a quick to go type of atmosphere with minimalist efforts that make it inviting and warm. They've done just that here, to encourage hanging out and a cozy establishment. The staff are not only amazing, but are genuinely nice, warm and welcoming. You feel their energy that they want this place to succeed and they're doing all the right measures into seeing that through. The drinks are on par with every other Kung Fu, nothing short of satisfying your boba needs. Drinks are customized and made fresh to order that even you bougie starbucks people that order extremely complex drinks will have no problem making the servers life difficult but your needs will be met without a hiccup. With the hype being real, this is definitely the hot spot to be in town to fix your drink cravings. If you've never had bubble tea, live a little and stuff some black balls in your mouth, then you'll understand my obsession with balls in my mouth...wait what?! Stay fat mother suckers

Being a chain, Kung Fu Tea in Charlottesville is exactly what I expected from going to other locations, and satisfied my bubble tea craving. I got the matcha slush and the taro milk tea, and both had the right balance of cream and tea flavor. I like KFT because you can customize your drink -- from the amount of sugar, to the toppings, to the ice. They were extremely busy on a Saturday evening so service was a little slower, but you could tell the employees were working really hard behind the counter cranking out drinks non-stop for their waiting costumers so I can't even hold that against them.

I think I showed up late to the bubble tea craze, but I've jumped in now, face first. For the past two months, I've tried approximately ten different tea places and the Kung Fu Tea in Charlottesville remains my top choice! They offer an endless variety of flavors, tea types, sweetness levels and toppings. It was a bit overwhelming trying to figure out what and how to order in the beginning, but the staff is so nice, knowledgeable and (most importantly) PATIENT. They have been a huge help in enabling my new addiction . The boba here is fresh; the perfect amount of chewiness. The portion of boba as a topping is also very generous. I never run out of bubbles while enjoying my large tea. The quality of the tea itself is definitely superior to other places I've tried. The matcha is especially delicious. It's not grainy at all and it is a rich, green color. I love knowing that they're using quality ingredients. The taro is also quality and the best taro I've had so far. In addition to many of the milk teas, I've also tried a hot tea and a punch tea and they were just as addictively delicious. During my last visit, I felt adventurous and ordered red bean topping with my boba. SO good!! I haven't tried any of the snacks here yet, but I've seen other customers enjoying some delicious looking dumplings. Yum! Thank you Kung Fu Tea for the consistent superior service and above par quality of ingredients!

My croissant tasted as though it was sourced from Costco; it had been heated up, which made it marginally palatable. I asked for a large cappuccino and got a drink that tasted as though a sugary syrup had been added to it. There was a huge volume of milk, which I guess was OK, and a small amount of OK-tasting espresso. The breakfast was convenient enough that I figured I'd go back for a second round the next morning. However, when I arrived at the coffee bar on Day Two, I was told that the person who would be staffing it was "running late" and that the croissants had not yet arrived. The front desk person found it in her heart to pour me some coffee from the huge urn at the coffee bar. I was grateful for the free lobby coffee but headed outside for my official breakfast. Outside was better.

There is a good amount of seating with two large shared-space tables and smaller circular tables, and there is free wifi access. The cafe offers coffee, tea, and draft options. I've only come in for coffee and tea twice and felt that it was overpriced for what you get. They only offer their iced drinks in the large option, and it's probably because the iced drink consists of 8-10 large ice cubes that take up a majority of the space of the cup. The iced chai and hot soy latte tasted good, but were standard. The food was kind of meh - I ordered a biscuit which was barely warmed up. Overall, an okay cafe (probably not my first choice to go to), but it will give you a caffeine fix if you need it.

The baristas were nice and three of them gave me their input on which single origin I should choose for my pour-over. POUR-OVER - MKT Price +6.50 for Mohammed Aba Nura - Ethiopia (tasting notes: Strawberry, white chocolate, hazelnut) I wanted the craziest tasting option they had, and they recommended this one since it's pretty popular and well-liked among customers. However, one of the barista said he didn't really like it himself. I figured I should still try it. The sips I had while it was still warm was pretty juicy and sweet, but I really didn't like the notes once it cooled down (about 20 minutes later), which tasted sour and off-putting. I should have listened to that one barista and went with a different single origin option. Overall, good roaster -- just unfortunate that I tried something that wasn't for me. The baristas seem knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. I would love to come back next time and try another single origin offering.
