Okay there are many Boba tea places in El Paso. They have been mushrooming everywhere on the North East and then there is Kung Fu Tea at the Fountains. This place is legit and the best Boba tea franchise in El Paso. Kung Fu Tea Chinese: 功夫茶; pinyin: Gōngfūchá) is the largest American bubble tea franchise with more than 425+ locations and headquartered in Queens New York City. The ambiance is a cool and relaxed environment. They only use lactaid milk, an incredible selection of boba teas with a friendly dedicated service. I like the fact that they offer different sugar level options. (On April 30, 2018, Kung Fu Tea founded the world's first National Bubble Tea Day). There is a lot to love here, come on El Paso let's support this local business!!!

The tea here is always amazing. The service here is terrible. The sign clearly states that opening time is 11:00. At that time we tried to enter but the doors were still locked. When the young man finally opened the door late he was condescending and said "I'm still seething up". So I continue to wait until he set up. Not sure why they do not come in earlier to get everything ready to go by their opening time of 11. Also, another worker finally came in also at around 11:10. The store and ambiance are nice and the menu is good. They were even having a strawberry shortcake, promotion a while back. The only problem here are the employees. They always seem to be in a bad mood and are not very friendly.

Not gonna lie, I was already disappointed off the bat when the only non-dairy option for milk teas didn't include any oat milk or even soy milk. What they did have were what they referred to as their Milk Strike option which used Lactaid milk. The thing about Lactaid is that it's still dairy, but processed in a way that the lactose is not as prominent to allow better digestion for those who can't tolerate lactose. As I inquired the options with the employee at the counter, she was also very dismissive of answering my questions, making it evident she was annoyed by my need for a good non-dairy option and something that didn't have unnecessary flavoring. I decided I would give it a shot anyway. They only have 4 options though and they were all flavored. Nothing just plain like milk tea, which is my go to. The closest option they had was Chai Tea which in my mind was supposed to just be milk tea basically. So I went for a medium size. Nearly $7 for that size. Yikes. I thought, ok well I'm sure I'm gonna be blown away then. The complete opposite. I have had many milk teas in my 34 years of life so just by LOOKING at a drink and how the consistency is shown by its milk tea color and appearance, I had a bad feeling already. Another factor is how the boba itself was very separated and easily diluted in the milk tea. Typically, you would see a good pooling of the syrup that consolidated the boba together to indicate a warm, soft experience of boba. Ultimately, the boba was cold and actually slightly undercooked. I was revolted. The milk tea was excessively sweet to what I assume was due to their "chai tea" flavor profile they were trying to accomplish. I couldn't even bring myself to finish my entire, already underwhelming amount of milk tea boba. I pretty much forced myself to continue drinking even after the first unpleasant sip. This place has the advantage of basically being the ONLY boba shop with all these sugared up options that gives customers a thrill if they don't know any better about better boba options. Unfortunately I'm not a returning customer.

Yay! Finally boba tea the way it's supposed to be! The boba is super yummy, tastes fresh, I literally devoured my medium while waiting for our last drink (Get a large). You can find various teas, milk teas, milk cap topping, jellies, coffee, and u can control sweetness level which is standard in legit boba tea places but uncommon here in EP. If u think other places taste better then I'm sorry, no offense, but you may not have had bubble/boba teas in large r metropolises like LA, Houston, NYC, and so forth. Thank you, Kung Fu Tea, for coming to EP.

Got the cocoa cream original- i had to ask for extra ice to make it a little cooler. They also only offer lactaid, they didn't have regular milk. Mango snow - delicious!

Upon entering it felt as if the store looked a little bit messy. Over the counter in the refrigerators you can see food and jugs of products not organized and thrown around. Even their counter where they put the toppings in looked really messy. It smelt great inside like crepes and waffles but the appearance just was too icky for me. Service was nothing memorable. Nothing horrible either so i have no qualms when it comes to that. The food itself was just fine. I know the waffle was dense and not that sweet. I appreciate the abundance of food but it just didn't make up for the lack of flavor. Something about it all tasted off. The crepe was rubbery and didn't have a good flavor to it either. We both didn't finish our deserts. It was a bit pricey in my opinion but at least they are giving out big portions. I wouldn't go to this spot if you're looking for a sweet spot at the fountains.

The first thing you should know, PUR is a part of NOSH located in the Monticello area. If you're just coming for Pur you can walk up straight to the cashier, but I recommend checking out all of what NOSH has to offer (I mean, c'mon... you're already there). The last drink I got was the Raw Red which had beets, cucumbers, carrots, apple, lemon, and ginger. It was just sweet enough and had a light enough beet flavor that I think my husband could've enjoyed it (he is not a beet fan at all). Another one that I got had a little heat to it and I loved it, but make sure you you check the ingredients well if you don't like spiciness. The price point is a little steep at a little over $9 a pop after tax, but these are pressed and bottled in house so I get the cost of labor and products. I would imagine as this business grows that price might have some wiggle room to come down. These juices are jam packed with fruits and veggies so this is also a really great way to get your daily in take. And it doesn't hurt that they taste good too! Great juice in a convenient location... give it a try!
