Sesame Matcha Milk Tea with Boba & Red Bean Wow
    Nayra B.

A fun place to grab some unique boba! I've been to several boba tea shops but the atmosphere of Kung Fu Tea is a lot more fun and more unique to others in my area. It has some cute spots to take some photos, there's lots of pop art to look at, and of course the neon dragon logo on one of the walls. The barista was super quick with our order and had our drinks out in a flash. We had the shop to ourselves when we went so it was very quiet, but I can easily see this being a cool place to hang out with friends for a drink. While the menu has all of the drinks you'd expect in a tea shop, they also have their own unique twist on a few of them as well. For example, I've never heard of a Sesame Matcha Milk Tea but it was delicious! The matcha quality was top of the line and the added sesame seeds gave it a delicious roasted flavor that complimented the matcha quite nicely. It definitely elevated a classic matcha milk tea to the next level without overpowering it. The Red Bean Wow was also super yummy and something I will definitely be returning for. The layer of red bean on top of the boba at the bottom wasn't too mushy in texture and added a nice sweetness to the milk tea. It was quite a thick layer, but it worked really well with the boba and didn't detract from their taste either. The boba was also the perfect consistency; not too firm but not too gummy, and tasted delicious in both of our drinks. As a former coffee/tea shop barista, I definitely recommend Kung Fu Tea for those looking for a refreshing and quality drink. You won't be disappointed!

$4 for a Brown Sugar Milk Strike, but only on weekdays and until 3 PM

It's funny how there's a Kung Fu Tea just a few miles away from my residence in SoCal, but I waited until visiting San Antonio before finally stopping by one. It was really by chance because I was having lunch at Fish City Grill and also picking something up at HEB, all of which are in the Northwoods Shopping Center on the southeast corner of 281 and 1604. There were a handful of posters showcasing their drinks at the front window, and I wanted to try my luck at one of them. They had Wow drinks, which I had absolutely no idea what they were, but I still wanted to try it lol. There was nobody inside except for two employees when I came in on a Sunday early afternoon. I don't think either of them wanted to be there honestly. I asked some questions about their drinks, but one of them would reply in a rather monotonous tone that kind of killed the vibe for me. The other, no joke, actually drank from a 2-Liter Dr. Pepper while I was trying to decide what to get. That's a little distracting, don't you think? And even so, why would you do it right in front of a paying customer?? I asked about the $4 Wow special that was posted on the front window, but as it turns out, it only applies to weekdays from open until 3 PM. Since I went on a Sunday, that wouldn't work for me, but I wanted to go through on it. Which drink did I get? I got the Oreo. The Wow drinks already come with boba, so there was no need to select that topping, which would have been a 65-cent upcharge for any other drink. It didn't take long before the male bobarista finished preparing my drink and placed it on the counter for me to pick up. I love Oreo drinks, and while this one was good, I can't say it was *that* good. While I did taste the Oreo bits and the brown sugar, there was a lot of ice inside! I wasn't asked for my desired level of ice like I'd do at, say, Feng Cha, but if I were given a choice, I would have picked less ice. So for the price I paid, I didn't think I got nearly as much drink compared to other spots. I was already done with it, and I had just barely started the drive back to my hotel! Overall, it wasn't bad, but it could have been way better.

10/10 across the board for this place! There's a couple spots to take cute pictures at, plenty of tables to sit and the menus are so clean and well lit! Service was great and quick! We all enjoyed our teas and boba.

My daughter is obsessed with Boba and we love kung fu tea. I do not like popping bubbles at all, but they have such a wide variety of other drinks to order. We are always happy to stop in in the interior of the restaurant is very cool.

Friendly Staff and great service! A nice hipster place to hang but the teas are good. I am particular about my pearls lol. It tastes the same and nothing out of the word about it. It's good, but not going to be a return trip. It is a bit out of the way for me and I have closer tea joints. The decor is cool and good amount of seating. The colors and theme screams chain. But not individuality. Like I said it's good and a good place to get a boba tea in a pinch. If someone offered it to me, I wouldn't say no lol.

I love Kung Fu Tea!! I didn't even know they had a location here unfortunately it's hidden so make sure you use your gps to find it. Once you go inside you noticed it's nice and clean and huge space with lots of tables. The workers are super nice. I usually get a tea Thai boba. I love it. Definitely one of my favorite boba tea places.

Looks nice and aesthetic. They have a giant jenga game and lots of sitting. Glad they opened a new one and more north central area. Been to every location of kung fu in san antonio so I basically know the drinks. No complaints and hopefully won't have.

Images show what we recieved for the princess peach collaboration vs what was advertised! What a horribly disappointing surprise for my daughter...will never be returning to kung fu panda. Zero stars. Cheers!

I absolutely love bubble teas! I grew up drinking boba after school. I am on a work trip in SA and stopped by for a short nostalgic moment. There are so many flavors I had to ask the girls behind the counter for their help. Daizy suggested the honey oolong and I'm in love. She suggested the freshly made strawberry jam. Jorja scooped me a small sample and I was sold. Heydy made my drink with 30% sweetness, just the way I like it. It pairs well with the freshly made strawberry jam. Rachel helped me pick the best option for my picky dad. He loves it! Glad to see such amazing girls working together. See you all soon!

Worst location ever! Spent $17 for two drinks that tasted awfully stale. Very inconsistent compared to other locations.

You order at the counter and they give you a number, so you can sit down until your food and drinks are ready. Initially, I ordered a matcha latte with oat milk. When I tried it, it was super super sweet, and I later learned that even though it is not included in the menu, the regular match includes several pumps of vanilla syrup. I wish this small ingredient was on the menu, because it really makes or break a matcha for me. I prefer my matcha unsweet. Thankfully, they were able to make me another one without the syrup, and it was much better! Will come back later to try some of their pastries and breakfast bowls in the future!

Last month, after an early valentine's lunch, my aunt and uncle went…read moreoff in search of aguas frescas and mangonadas nearby while my cousin and I hunted for a dessert spot that was a little different. that spontaneous search led us to Just Smash'em--and it turned out to be a sweet find. The concept is simple but appealing: fun, unique combinations of sweet treats that lean slightly toward the lighter side. Think açaí bowls, waffles, and snackable options that could easily double as breakfast or a light meal. I ordered the Berry Good Bowl with açaí, oat milk, strawberries, blueberries, banana, pineapple, granola, almonds, and Nutella. In hindsight I could've skipped the banana and granola, but it was still delicious. The fruit tasted fresh, the sweetness was balanced, and the açaí base held up surprisingly well on the drive home. My cousin went for the Belgian waffle with banana and Nutella--the waffle he has been searching for in the first place--and it did night disappoint. Service was warm and patient while we navigated the menu, and we even got to chat briefly with David, the young lady went. He shared that the business started as a food truck before growing into this standalone shop. The nice young ladies at the counter even offered us to take a flower from their vase of pink carnations for the Valentines. It's a cozy spot with a welcoming I've, even with yea small arts-and-crafts area for kids that makes it feel like a neighborhood hangout. A fun kitty dessert stop when you're craving something sweet but a bit different. We'll definitely be back to try more.
