My husband and I have been here before for the mangonada and the empanada. Both have been good. Today, we found out they have churros too. Dad was having a craving and thankfully, this place is on the way home. Too bad no outdoor seating so we took home the churros. Each order comes with 3 caramel-filled churros. My daughter had been craving churros since Costco stopped selling them, so we were on the hunt for a place that was quick but delicious. I stumbled upon Munchies after searching on Yelp, and saw the churros on their menu. After a brief call to the shop, they confirmed they sold two kinds: 1) caramel filled and 2) churros w/ ice cream. We headed right over in excitement! We placed our orders and waited a bit, and once we received our orders (we got one of each) we were NOT disappointed! The churros were so warm and crunchy! The perfect blend of sugar and cinnamon, complete with caramel dipping sauce. My daughter couldn't wait and started demolishing hers in the car (also worth noting that her vanilla ice cream atop the churros was rich and creamy). We could NOT stop gushing over how delicious the churros were to my husband, and he agreed after having one despite them being a but cold by the time we got home. Came here looking for dessert when I was visiting for work in San Antonio and this placed popped up on Yelp and Google and it was pleasantly amazing (yes I know those words don't go to together) I got the mangonada and WOW it was so tasty and the chammy drizzle with real mango chunks was so so good! I ended up getting two bags and it was AWESOME!!! I got bag of hot cheetos with cheese sauce all over it and I am shocked at how good it was! Then I got the bag of ruffles with cheese, jalepenos, corn, and hot sauce that is literally a meal (not a healthy meal) but a meal in a bag! I now question why I was not introduced to this earlier?!? I kinda wish I lived in San Antonio so I can get this for my guilty pleasure. Trust me this is not a healthy snack place as other people came looking for, it is a delicious (non healthy) snack place.
