Good comedy, good Chinese food, especially the honey walnut shrimp, and great company. A good time!

But you still get a good view of the entertainers if you're at least in closest 2/3rds of the theater. The $25 show lasted about 1 hour 40 minutes, and had 4 female comedians, or about $7.50 per a comedian...that's pretty good deal! All the comedians were great in their on own styles. The 2 drink minimum is normal, but seemed a bit more strictly enforced. $16 for 24oz hard seltzer seemed heinous, but pretty standard for an entertainment venue in San Francisco...my 2nd drink was a $6 club soda. After tax and tip it all showed up as $28.48 on my credit card somehow. $22 Total X 1.08625 sales tax = $23.90. $28.48 - $23.90 = $4.58 Tip or roughly 21% that was chosen for me, which seemed excessive for canned drinks. Couldn't find the wait staff after the show and I didn't have the energy, oh well.

Everyone, from the door staff to the servers inside, was friendly, welcoming, and helped make the evening even more enjoyable. The location is another big plus. It's easy to get to, and the cable car runs right by the club, making it a convenient stop while exploring the city.

I went to see a show " Italiani Veri "  last night. Fabulous cabaret-type show with performer Arianna. She's a true (veri) Italian from Milan who sang, danced and explained Italian culture as part of the entertainment. She has an amazing voice! She could have been a finalist at the San Remo Music Festival - the most famous singing festival in Italy. She fessed up saying she had been an Italian Mouseketeer! The venue has a bar/lounge to enjoy cocktails then a few steps down further is the theater. You need to be mobile since there are a lot of steps. Seating is first come-first serve. I have to admit that seating is quite tight. You are shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors. Get cozy folks. They typically have magic shows here! If you want to see a historic night club, this would be the venue to come to and enjoy a show. Italiani Veri show was a real treat! Highly recommend it!

Half of the comedians were legit funny. The other half was probably impromptu winging it while on stage. They serve up drinks at the front before seating. I had an enjoyable outing, glad it was outdoors and laughs were much needed during this pandemic!

It was alright. I like that there was no minimum drink required and the drinks were good (at…read moreleast, those that we had). Comedians were ok, not horrible, not exactly laugh out load. I didn't care for the fact that no where online could I find any comedian names beforehand - therefore, I wasn't expecting much. Bought tickets online ($53 for 2 with svc fee) a few weeks in advance. For entry, a woman checked our names off a list then we walked down the flight of stairs that had prohibition era decor. The venue is intimate. Seating is extremely tight (definitely seats less than 100 people). I would suggest that if you go, do NOT sit up front for obvious reasons (like being the subject matter and/or ridiculed), but also because those in front rows were literally spit on (unintentionally of course) by the headliner that raised his voice/yelled as part of his skit - from the side view where we sat and because of the spotlights, we seriously saw the spit travel through the air, land on people who then retracted a bit in shock - we were disgusted, especially in this post-COVID pandemic climate. One of the other comedians stopped his skit and reprimanded those in the audience that were talking - he was so annoyed and wasn't shy about it. We parked in the parking garage across the street, $20 for less than 2 hours wasn't exactly worth it. I wouldn't be against returning as long as there are funny, well known comedians scheduled and marketed - but we won't sit up front :)

My partner and I had a great time during each set. Lots of jokes about tech, dating, AI, and homeless folks. You know, the SF standard. With that said, the bar is intimate. Every seat is a good seat so you will likely be part of the show in some way (no hiding here!). If you are easily offended, maybe stop by the bar first to loosen up before you settle in for the show. Our drinks were creative and there is something for everyone. My favorite was the Tropic Thunder (pina colada vibes) and espresso martini. I would definitely recommend to catch a show, bring your sense of humor, and support this club.

I'm a storyteller & I know it's hard getting a good read on your audience, but all of the comics were good in their own right. I look forward to seeing their careers develop. It takes courage to take the stage & jokes fall flat sometimes, & other times it insights nervous laughter. Kudos to all of them. I will definitely come back.

Olivero have a brilliant show - sure to sell out - so buy up all these goldstar seats if you can find any.. this is truly a charm to sit above the amazing wiz of a CLUE GAME Board designed by co director Olivero . his vision of hosting the game watcher above the set is epic .. as if we are part of a Harry Potter broom fight ,, we are instead a sit a top of a game of CLUE. The adapted script moves fast and is very fun mixing in many of the key lines from the film and more. A great cast of SF locals better players all move at the speed of this game plan - The Butler brilliantly played by Brian Martin - holds the game board together with the most script tied to his role. Sarah Savage, Linnea George-Kupferand, Justin Liszanke keep the game rolling with some very funny comic timing linked to the many roles that Adam Simpson is cast as his every role true to the game and killings. J. Conrad Frank the queen on he board spins his skirt as the dice is tossed and is hilarious as the bodies fly. Besides the dead dummies as they pile up, the true star of this play is the set. The audience is lifted above the game board to see the whole 90 min event unfold - its a great night of Black box theatre in SF - not to be missed and is most likely sold out ,, I hope you get to see it. CLUE is the best .. V
