I knew that by paying triple the cost at least I'll get a chance to lift a little heavier, feeling a sense of normalcy amidst this outbreak. Call for prices. I don't remember how much was the bar and the plates but my total w/ tax for both was nearly $600. To me it was definitely worth it because now I can incorporate some compound movements into my regimen like before. We booked the bike about a week in advance for a full day for $65, and it was ready for pickup when we arrived. The staff did a safety inspection and let us know that helmets are included with the rental and that we could return the bike to any Sports Basement location. My friend also asked if they could leave their backpack there, and the staff kept it behind the desk, which was really nice. The bike was in good condition! We rode it for 4-5 hours with no issues. A few things I wanted to point out - the seat was pretty narrow and hard, which made it uncomfortable to sit on. It had been a while since I last biked, so I'm not sure if I just need to wear padded shorts or if the seat wasn't the right fit for me. Another thing is that I couldn't sit in the front because the seat was too tall for me to comfortably reach the pedals, and there didn't seem to be an easy way to adjust the height. Lastly, it would've been nice to have a phone mount on the handlebar for navigation. We turned in the bike at the end of the day. Overall, the process was very smooth, the staff were friendly, and the rental was affordable. I would do it again, but I'd wear padded shorts next time :)

We went not completely sure which bike we wanted or the best fit. The staff working was very informative and spent a lot of time explaining options and tradeoffs. I appreciate they didn't just push us to the most expensive options. Rather, they took the time to understand his preferences and use for the bike and then made a few recommendations. They were very patient the entire time, letting him test ride multiple bikes until he found the perfect one. We had such a great experience that we went back to purchase a second bike later that evening!

Booking was very easy, responses were quick, and the pricing was reasonable (I had already been dragging my feet with another company for a week, with delayed communications). We were given a 3-6 PM arrival window and told Tim the tech would do his best to give us 30 minutes' notice. He texted at 3:40 PM and arrived at 4:09 PM You might wonder why Peloton Tread disassembly for a move costs a bit more, but once you see how much careful work goes into it, it makes sense. Tim also helped us pack and wrap the disassembled parts so they'd be protected during the move. Worth every penny. He was professional, warm, and extremely helpful, and gave us clear instructions for the movers and what to watch out for. We felt so confident in the service that we immediately booked them again for reassembly at our new home. A huge weight off our chest during a stressful move. Thank you!

But this weekend when all we needed was a kite, Big 5 was the *only* place that had a small selection of them after we tried finding them at both Target and Walmart. I called into the store first and was greeted by a friendly sales associate who said they definitely had kites. When we walked in and asked where the kites were, one of the sales associates happily walked us over to where they are. She even recommended the one that she had purchased for herself. For $10 and some change, this kite was a surprise hit at the beach this past Sunday. It was super easy to put together for someone like me who is completely clueless when it comes to putting things together. We had no issues with getting it up into the air and flying our Ladybug kite. Who knew that this kite could keep both the kids and adults entertained for hours? Between this kite and the shovels in the sand, it was a perfect day. Please come into this store and give them your business. Big 5 Sporting Goods used to be my go-to whenever was in need of baseball tees. The assorted colors are plentiful and I typically don't have any issues in finding the sizes I needed. This visit was unfortunately a let down. Not only were the color options scarce but the sizes in stock were just as terrible. I literally walked around the whole store twice, thinking I missed the baseball tee rack. Products are typically reasonably priced and employees are willing to help if you ask. Parking behind the store is plentiful but there is always street parking in front of the store if available. So why the 4 stars?? Thank you to the staff for being kind enough to do a search and helped me located my backup item I needed. It would have been great to find exactly what I wanted but it is very obvious that Big 5 has downsized in its items they offer/carry.
