This place will be my go-to in purchasing cleats! I usually get free cleats from my national team, but I've worn them out hella quick and am in need of a new pair when I'm not training with them. The staff here are friendly & young yet have first-hand knowledge of which cleats are best for different field positions from their experience. Found that quite helpful when selecting cleats to try on. I purchased a pair of X speed portal Messi cleats last week, broke them in last night and they're 10/10. They were on sale for about $70 less on the Adidas website however this store had a sleek all-black color that I looooved & that's not sold @ Adidas online. We've had the same experience over and over for the past 5+ years: Staff who couldn't care less about helping customers, can't find ordered jerseys, or are just too busy trying to be being cool and talking to each other. They seldom make any effort at all. One guy was even quite rude once. We don't expect or need star treatment, but just normal decency and helpfulness would be nice. Three of us play soccer in our family, but we will be going elsewhere from now on. Went in and there was four teenagers working. I asked about certain item and before finishing he interrupted me! I even told him to let me finish! What kind of service is this. Disrespectful! I was there for 20 minutes and ignored. Went up to the register and they just starred at me! Also, they were using improper language (bad words) f word. I came in with my son and he does not need to hear this. They need an adult to supervise these boys! They were too busy watching & commenting on the nature documentary being played on the screens. We heard one other staff members offer to call another store for a customer to see if they had other sizes available but we got no such offer. They just looked so disinterested & bored. Why such young kids who have no customer service skills are hired I have no idea. I'm a bit surprised by the mixed reviews because I had a fantastic experience here! I brought in an old soccer jersey in hopes of getting it fixed. The letters were peeling off, and I just wasn't ready to give up on it yet (it has sentimental value to me). I came into the store and was greeted right away by two different staff members. When I handed my jersey in, a gentleman named Pete began working on it immediately. Given the jersey was at least 11 years old, he had to try multiple methods to get it fixed. Not only did Pete fix the shirt, he didn't even charge me for it! If this is not top-notch customer service than I don't know what is! The majority of the staff looked like students to me. So, I'm not sure why people are so surprised if they're still working on their craft. Aside from my positive experience, the store had great products. I don't think I would ever have come here if it weren't for the that our club gets its uniforms through this place. It's a pretty standard soccer supply sort of place, with an ample selection of cleats, balls, clothing, and other soccer accessories. The service here is variable, but generally pretty helpful, but I often find myself waiting while another customer is complaining about the fit of a jersey that they recently received. With regard to uniforms, if your club is requiring you to buy a new kit, I strongly recommend that you try them on for size before you order, because even if it's the same manufacturer, the cut can be very different. Prices here are okay. A little more than what you'd pay at a place like Dick's, but they also carry better quality stuff in general. read more

loathe this place with a passion. Clueless and unhelpful staff (not all - which is why I give 2 stars). But usually 'the dudes' are sort of milling around looking all "soccer-ish-ly"cool instead of offering to be helpful. Orders take forever - we follow the ordering instructions from our club and soccer pro and the orders arrive after the season has started - so we are playing first games in old kits. Stock for girls and women is ridiculous. Do you think there are as many girls playing soccer as boys? There are. So why is 90%of the store boys and men. So dumb. And shorts/shirts for men and women are different cuts. Other beef - probably not Soccer Pro's fault, but rather the fault of our club -but why for the love of God must we use Adidas? Nike is sooo much better. Yet another beef - and again - shared blame between club and shop - why on earth do we change kits once a year? It's like a mafia. Club soccer is already (dare I say) a suburban rich kid racket. This is why the US cant really compete on the world stage - but I digress badly. Finally - don't even get me started on the prices. You can find all the same gear on Amazon for half the price or less. But guess what - we do not have a choice. That is the part that infuriates me most. read more

Very disappointed with the whole process of getting "custom soccer jersey". These guys have no competition and prices are ridiculous. I ordered jerseys worth more than $250, all of the amount charged upfront. It took a month to get half the order and guy at the front desk says oh it just took a month as if they are doing a favor, not even saying no sorry for delay. I asked him when will I get remaining items he says he doesn't know. How can you run a business by providing customers with these kind of answers. With competition prices will come down and service will improve. Paying for the clothes in advance and waiting couple of months to get it and that too with full retail price and top of this Shipping cost extra, not a great combination. RED CARD. BAIT and SWITCH. I am all for supporting small businesses. However Soccer Pro has bad service. My husband coaches our sons soccer team and has also coached local HS soccer. I have played soccer as well including co-ed and organizing our first HS girls soccer team by TitleIX. We also are season tix holders to our local MLS team. We also both grew up watching NASL. And we have traveled to WorksCup soccer in France Germany SoAfrica and soon Brazil. So you can say Soccer is our passion. I had a special order request with SoccerPro for a certain type of shoe they promised they could get for me. A special order tag was created with shoe manufacturer type size color etc. We came back in when they said it would be in. They still didn't have it. Then we were given new date by manufacturer. Arrived again on date and they still did not have. We were then given a new date. Drive to store again and did not have. Received notice of new date. On new date still did not have. I was very patient with them understanding the mfg was giving them run around. Finally after 3 weeks we received a phone call from Pete saying the shoes were in. We went to the store and when I said we were there to pick up new shoes they asked if it was a different store before even asking our name. I told them I didn't even know you had another store. Then they said they didn't have the shoe. In the store I informed them that Pete left a voice mail message for us. Then they asked how long ago did I get the message and I said 2 days ago. I then pulled out my cell phone and started playing the message. These 3 guys suddenly scattered and disappeared. Pete then showed up and without talking to us started calling another store to see if they had the shoes. I told him if he called me with the shoes why didn't he have him. He said it was because it was the new shoes got in but not the new shoes we wanted. I asked how was that possible when you had the shoes and filled out a tag with the exact description mfg type size color etc. He then pulled out another shoe for us to try on. Not the shoe we special ordered. Avoid this inefficient bait and switch business. In finale, Pete at SoccerPro made a snarky sarcastic reply to my Yelp review. What a jerk!! Good riddance!! We will not be back. My husband will be recommending another soccer store for his teams. read more

I came here on a weekend and the sales rep seemed more intrerested in staring out into space than helping me even when nobody was around. But they did end up having the shoe that fit me best - Nike tiempo fg lite. Their price was about $20-30 more than online retailers but I felt it was still worthwhile to be able to try them on. I've been to this place a bunch of times now and have only been able to keep my wallet in my pocket a few times. They have so much stuff there! I was surprised by how nice it is inside because they outside looks so average. Pretty good selection. Very good end of season sales. Staff is helpful too. I recently took in my team's jerseys to get numbers added on the back. They had them finished in a few days (as promised) and I'm happy with the quality. I even went back today to get a one off made and they did it right there on the spot. In and out in under 5 minutes. Very pleased with the staff -- always friendly and helpful. However, the management and store policies need some work. If I buy a pair of $275 Puma cleats (on clearance for $90) and they break after 2 light uses (fabric holding the shoe laces in place ripped clean through in 2 places) I would like to see more of an effort made on the part of the manager to make sure that the customer is satisfied. They were very nice and allowed me to get a reprint of the receipt so that I could get credit direct from puma.com, but I would've preferred to get the credit at Soccer Pro (and thus support a local business). Also, they didn't have any of the higher-end Nike cleats in size 9.5 so I guess I'll just take my business online like everyone else. Thanks to the hard-working staff for caring and looking out for the soccer players, it's a pity that the management and policies will force me to look elsewhere for my future soccer purchases. read more

This is how cool they are: Today I purchased adidas predators in my size and realized they didn't fit as I was playing in them. Currently in the lead for "Worst Customer Service in 2016". That includes Comcast. Went in mid-day on weekday; although staff outnumbered customers 3:1, no one offered to help, even as two staff members stood 1' away counting soccer balls. After 3-4 minutes, the "Can I help you?" issues from one of them. "Can I see this cleat in size X?" we ask. "We probably don't have it . . . Nope; we don't". "Can you recommend an alternate?" we ask. "Not really; these (gestures vaguely at wall" are all pretty much the same. We left. Pretty amazing experience. I can accept that not everyone stocks women's cleats (though they are half the population, and women's soccer in Northern California is very popular and at times world class). But we were willing to buy men's cleats. It's just that amidst a very pretty store with probably hundreds of thousands of dollars of inventory, no one was willing to sell us any. Go down the street one mile to Soccercraze. Almost the same inventory. Great staff; may be family run. This place is great for deals on a most things, you can even find a jersey for $20 instead of the normal $70... which is always good. They have a descent selection of cleats, mainly Nike's and Adidas with fewer of other brands. I will commend them on having a women's section for both of the major brands they carry and holding some of the European and Asian jerseys a lot of places in San Jose don't have. So why the 3 stars if this place is so great? If you don't know anything about soccer or soccer equipment you shouldn't shop here. If somebody wants to help you they will only do so if you plan on buying the top of the line of everything. Having worked in soccer shops and played for over 20 years this is not the best method. You have to face it, there are some people who are not die hard about soccer or simply don't have the cash flow to drop $200 on a pair of cleats. The other day I was in there picking up some socks and watched this girl outright refuse to help a guy find a uniform for his team because he wanted to go with the cheaper version that Nike produced then the Adidas that she recommended.... which happened to tack on an extra 40 a player. He literally had to grab the Nike catalog from her and point out that not only did they have the jersey in the color he wanted but that it was cheaper. She replied with "well their delivery is always late." Too bad if she had been paying attention she would have heard him say that he didn't need the uniforms for another month.. which is plenty of time. The other girl that was working there was trying hard to sell a pair of top of the line $200 cleats to a 15 year old who was starting their 1 season in a low level league. Looking at her you could clearly see these things, and talking to her you could easily tell that she needed a good started cleat. No player who is going to have an at most 3 year career in a low level league needs a $200 cleat. Her mom asked me and I suggested something in the 75-125 with several options and the mom jumped on it. The woman that was working there got pissed, but I know they don't work on commission so not sure what her deal was. So now you are asking why the 3 stars? Like I said, if you are a soccer player or know your stuff in anyway you wont be taken in for by these people, but you will snag some nice stuff at cheaper prices. My overall conclusion is they try to make up for their lack of sales at the beginning of the month with a few team sales and pitching high end cleats to any tom, dick, or harry that stumbles in with out a clue. My recommendation, and I never thought I would say this, go shop here but don't ask for any help other then getting stock from the back. read more
