It's hard to walk around and find things. Often they only have like one of each item. Also the aisles are so small it's hard to walk through when people have carts. I actually did a quick walk thru of the store and walked out. Not my idea of a good shopping experience.

I think it's probably becoming more known for the wedding/event venue portion, as we rolled up to…read moreshop the nursery and the doors weren't open and they tried to direct us to a party. But maybe that's just because I visited in the early winter and who shops a nursery then? In any case, once we made our way inside, it became clear they're making moves to up the adorbs factor and move to be way more than just a pot-em-up nursery. The main retail area here is lovely, with gifts, books, and loads of home decor. They've put some money into this, and while it still needs to be filled out a bit more, you can spend some time cruising here and be happy. From the main area, we made our way to the houseplant section. While there are a lot of expecteds there, I was surprised to see so many of them. We only found a few harder-to-find ferns (something way down the line in the birds nest family) but plenty of those old school ficus. I suppose the ficus sell, but with so many hot new ficus right now, I just was surprised at the quantity of the old schoolers. There are succulents as well, though thankfully not a bajillion. I liked many of the containers, especially the wee ones, and prices there were reasonable. We ended up with three ferns, one of which is now struggling due to a long vacation and a lack of water (my bad) but many of the plants there in the greenhouse needed a good amount of deadheading and some of the poor monstera were flagging, and generally it seems they probably need someone dedicated and diligent in the watering and upkeep. It could stand a little freshening up. I'd like to come back in the warm months to see what kind of trouble I could get into, but I still had a nice time and the other two ferns are going strong; the third has my full faith it will bounce back.

We were just looking around when the owner literally started following us around. We told her we were "just browsing" and she had no reply. I began looking through the cork screws when she quote said "if you have anything you shouldn't, I suggest you put it back" obviously assuming we had stolen something. Staff were very friendly. I knocked off a star for 2 reasons: because the aisles were a bit tight and the carts huge. Trying to pass people without knocking something off was a bit nerve wracking. Also, some incredibly high prices on a few decor items I've seen at Hobby Lobby and other stores. I found some really adorable items, but even Amazon sells them cheaper.

Not hugely high but certainly not bargain pricing either unless you are looking at seasonal stuff that is over with. That's always a decent deal. The main reason for my lower score was that the number of times we've been in and found a line with at least 3 people waiting and each person taking a minimum of ten minutes, some longer, to get through the cashier makes it actually painful to come here. They always seem to keep the place understaffed. Trying to find someone is tough and I don't think I've seen more than one yET at the register no matter how long the lines are. They are quick to apologize for the wait. The computers are often adding to the problem being slower than molasses to ring you up. The staff are always pleasant but the experience is consistently one that has me saying I wont go back and will try and find a different place to buy my home decor needs.
