Maybe that's the way it is at all dermatology offices.... The front office staff is average, I feel like a number when I check in, not as a human being, but again, they see many many people a day and that can make the receptionists, a bit curt. There's a free parking lot in the back of the building.

I've had several procedures performed by him and removal of three pre cancerous lesions on my face...he and his staff and the Medical Students have been nothing but professional, extremely knowledgeable and courteous. From the front desk person, to the medical assistants and physician... I have received nothing but superb care, understanding and compassion. I would definitely recommend this practice. The physicians are easily reached through the Healow App and they respond within a few hours. The only downside is Lifespan's phone answering system when there is an emergency and one can't make an appointment at the last minute...like when I had a pipe burst in our basement and had the plumber here and I was going to be either quite late for my appointment or not make it at all... it takes forever to get through and then you must leave a message and they never call back..but this is not a Brown Dermatology issue, it's a Lifespan problem which should be addressed. All I can say is thank you to each and every person at both the Fain Building and APC offices. Great job!

I understand that all surgery involves scarring, but my concern is that the placement and appearance of these scars do not match what I was told during the consultation. When I brought this up during a follow‑up visit, I felt dismissed. The surgeon physically backed away from me as I explained my concerns, which made me feel unheard and uncomfortable. I had hoped for a more supportive and transparent conversation about my options. Overall, I am disappointed with both the outcome and the communication surrounding it.
