Came here for some coffee for the road before we made our way to Yosemite. Grateful they were one of the only coffee shops open at 4pm. Coincidentally, the barista taking our order recognized us from the Tokopah Falls Trail hike we did earlier that day hahah. What a small world. The coffee was delicious and refreshing. Not my first time at Cup of Joy, but it was my first time trying the Rose Garden Matcha. I wasn't really a fan, maybe because I added the strawberry foam? It kinda took over the whole drink and I couldn't really taste the matcha. I'll probably try it again without the foam next time. I did get the almond butter toast and loved it! Thick like French toast, topped with almond butter, bananas, and a honey drizzle, so good. Service here is always fast and friendly. Checkin staff member was super friendly and kind. The girl making my drink however acted like she didn't even want to be there. There was no one waiting in line or drinks and it took her like 8 minutes to make it. She was more interested in talking to her coworker in the back room and walking around like she could care less a customer was waiting for their drink. So I tried Kuppa Joy twice now, once last year at work, when a sales vendor ordered drinks for all. That time I went with just a hot chocolate (it was December) I was excited since it was my first time trying anything from here, I also had never heard of this place before. The chocolate was very bland and arrived cold. I know it probably took a while for me to drink it since I was busy working but I honestly did not enjoy the flavor. So option to reheat, I passed. Second time to try out, I was at the hair salon two doors down and as it was mid summer I was thirsty, with foils in my hair decided to walk over and purchase a iced mocha, which is my favorite drink. I usually purchase this at either Dutch bros or Starbucks and it is always delicious. Easy enough drink, but here a medium ran me close to $8 which for not being a large well known chain surprised me, then when I was given the drink, I was not satisfied as it was also bland and warm!!! Yes warm. The ice was minimal and it was yucky. I tried to drink this but just tossed the whole thing out. It also wasn't a very welcoming atmosphere as the staff stared at my foils and cape(salon) and just set the drink down and just hoped I would see it, no straw, no thank you. I had to look around for said straw. Just a no for me. Two stars for a nice interior. read more

Another walk, another visit! This time I got the Avocado Toast for us to share... I guess it doesn't normally come with pepper flakes lol but it would certainly elevate the toast for sure! Either way, perfect nibbles. My friend tried the Kuppa Joy this round, and I got the Hallelujah. Delish. If you like white chocolate & cinnamon, this is a the drink for you. Any of these drinks, really. The Kuppa Joy is my personal fave though (dark chocolate & sweet cream). The ladies were friendly, mainly our girl at the register though. Different one from the first visit but still just as nice... she even walked our toast over to us. I had every intention of changing my rating to a 5 star but I felt it strange that the one who put our drinks out once it was ready only called my friend's name once, if that, because we didn't hear it... but apparently it was sitting there until my name was called. We were 2 of 4 people in there and she had to have known it was for us. I would've at least repeated the call out knowing we were sitting right there... right? It's located in a small corner section of a two main cross streets. Parking is limited but the coffee is still worth it. Still has space in inside and a little outside area to eat and enjoy your coffee as well. I mainly do mobile order because it's just fast and convenient for myself. I ordered 2 coffees from there both are the same type of coffee. The first one is the Kuppa of Joy with almond milk and 4 shots of expresso for the wife. The one I ordered was Kuppa of Joy which has dark chocolate, with almond milk as well but I like mine extra sweet. I was so excited for the cups that they have for the to go coffee. They have the Christmas Tree Lane sing on them. So I went and order an Americano with almond milk and honey. The coffee was not strong enough. I was expecting a strong coffee. U don't know if it was old or they just make it like that. I will give them another try and see. We also got a Oreo Frap. My daughter mention it needed more Oreo in it. Service was great. We got our drinks in no time. The place is nice and they have seating area. The associates were friendly and helpful. Such friendly and welcoming staff! This was my first time to this location and it has such a cozy, natural aesthetic. I never would have expected it to be so busy on a Wednesday morning but that is just a sign of how great this place is. The hot chocolate was absolutely rich and delicious and filled to the literal top. I had the avocado toast and it was hearty and tasty, I would have enjoyed a little garnish (like pickled onions, hard boiled egg) but that's just personal preference. We stan Kuppa! Each and every Kuppa location you go to will hit the spot - including this one! The staff is so kind, the drinks are fire, the interior is so cute, and they offer outdoor seating! The pastries and food items are always so tasty. Don't even get me started on their chocolate croissants and paninis - heavyyyy on the chocolate croissant: that is a legit croissant. Seriously my fave chocolate croissant ever. Each drink is good and the baristas are super good with recommendations. I personally love the Amazing Grace or the Hallelujah. This is a perfect location to catch up with friends, read a book, or take yourself on a solo date. I love this location, but for my fellow students who want to study... this may not be the best kuppa location. They unfortunately don't have outlets. Charge up your devices! While I am less than a mile from Kuppa Joy, I have only visited twice. I ask myself, "Why?" The tea was amazing! Very aromatic and sweetened just right. Look closely, I walked away happy with my little cup of JOY. The decorations on the cup is very creative and unique. I've never been despite this local chain being super popular. I came here for the first time and here are some pros: -Customer service. The guy was very friendly, helpful and patient. Good attitude and loved his personality. There wasn't much traffic when we went so he didn't rush my cousin and i while we looked at the menu. -Decor. Super trendy and clean, pictures speak for themselves. -Prices. Definitely on the average for coffee shop pricing, i was expecting it to be more. Cons: -My food. I was happy to see they had some bistro offerings but it wasn't worth the price. The sandwich didn't really taste like anything, pretty bland. My cousin had the avocado toast which to me looked really unappetizing. She said it was ok but kind of bland as well. No flavor atop the giant spread of avocado. -Comfort. They definitely picked looks over practicality. Very uncomfortable seating and it was reallyyy hot and humid inside. I don't know if the uncomfortable environment is on accident or on purpose(to keep people from lingering too long). Drinks were neutral, nothing exciting but not a complete waste of money. I love visiting Kuppa Joy when I am in Fresno. Their drinks are absolutely amazing, and I will talk about two different drinks I recently tried that I highly recommend. The first is the peppermint mocha, which I look forward to every time I am in Fresno around the holidays . I always get one with oat milk, and they use dairy-free syrup, so it's completely vegan (and dairy free). The taste is amazing, with the right amount of peppermint and dark chocolate. It's good both hot and iced, so I highly recommend this drink in December. The second is the "Plain Train" protein shake, which is also dairy-free and vegan. Lemme tell you, if I lived in Fresno, I would probably spend a couple hundred $$$ on these every year beacause they are so perfect as a post-workout shake. Not only are they full of protein, but they also taste great too. I really like the Kuppa Joy app, it's super easy to order and my drinks always were ready when I pulled up, so I definitely recommend that if you plan to order "to-go". They roast great beans here, some of the best in Fresno actually, so if you are looking for some freshly roasted, reasonably priced coffee beans, this is a great spot to get them. All in all, this is a wonderful coffee shop with lots of fantastic options. Also, side note, I realize that Kuppa Joy has a very "in your face" religious atmosphere, but even as someone who is not religious, I don't feel unwelcome or in any way like someone is trying to convert me when I visit, so definitely don't let that stop you. read more

It's been years since I have had Kuppa Joy. And the last time I was in this actual building was when it was the Sweet Tea Leaf shop years ago. The last I tried Kuppa Joy coffee was 2 years ago at the clovis location. We decided to come here with a group of 4 on a Saturday morning at 9 and it's a holiday weekend. It looked very busy when we walked in with no available seating. It's pretty small inside with like 4 tables with 2 chairs each and a wall bench with a few tiny round tables. So seating is scarce. Somehow we managed to grab 2 tables and we pushed them together to sit down and enjoy our pastries and coffee. The service was pretty quick and the line moved fast. It's still November and they have done away with the Pumpkin themed drinks and had a new holiday menu of peppermint mocha, a butterscotch drink and I forgot what the other special one was. I got a 16 oz peppermint mocha and a slice of the pumpkin loaf which cost me just under $10. It was a really good coffee and you can't help but appreciate the foam designs in the drinks. The staff was really friendly and they tried to help other guests find seating even if only available on the patio. It was pretty busy the entire time we visited. With the nearest coffee shop being Dutch Bros. About 1 mile away and Starbucks down on Shaw and West, there really is no competition for them here. read more

Kuppa joy has always been one of my favorite local places to support and I'm so happy they now have a location right across the street from me! I love how each location is unique in its own way, and this new shop is way fun with its "jungle vibe". Baristas are so sweet, I walked in and was SO warmly welcomed, it honestly made my morning! It wasn't too busy, my coffee was made in about 3-4 minutes, perfect for a morning commute. Looks like they have great food items as well; including many pastries and even a breakfast burrito! I can't wait until I have more time to actually sit down and enjoy the place. This will be a new regular spot for me. read more

Tasty!!! Wanted to check out this chain in Fresno when I was passing by the city. Came on a Friday afternoon and no wait to order. Interior was cute and a handful of tables where people were working. The workers were nice. Loved that they had specialty lattes since that's what I look for in a coffee shop! Opted for the Kuppa Joy although I did hear a lot of good things about the Hallelujah (cinnamon and vanilla) so I want to try that next time! The Kuppa Joy was dark chocolate with a sweet cream. I absolutely love their lattes, music choice and overall ambience (many plants and nice decor style) and really kind staff...however, it was cold. At 57' outside I look for coffee shops to be warm, in ambiance and actuality but I was there in a jacket and boots and still cold the entire time I was there with my friend (who was also cold)...when I asked if they usually kept the door open (it was propped open most of the time) they said that yes, "in the afternoon it gets hot"...so I will not be back until maybe spring or summer, even though I was so excited to find this spot near my home. If you run on the colder side I would definitely suggest somewhere else in winter. If you run on the warmer side or aren't so sensitive to temps, this place just might be perfect for you! read more

I was looking for a coffee shop to read and relax in, and was pleased to find out that there was a Kuppa Joy location in Fresno. I've only been to the Clovis location once, and loved it, but it's pretty far from where I live, so I was excited to stop by here. The cashier was extremely kind and patient with my questions. Super friendly and welcoming. I got a Hallelujah and breakfast panini, and both were delicious! I wish they had more seating available, but when I was able to grab one indoors, it was pleasant. I was able to read in peace and enjoy the scenery outside the windows whenever I needed a break.
