We had lunch here today and the food was absolutely incredible -- but what impressed me even more was the staff and the way they treated us. There was a small mistake with our order that I honestly hadn't even noticed, but the staff caught it, addressed it immediately, and went above and beyond to make it right. They even compensated us for it, which was completely unexpected. That kind of service speaks volumes. Mistakes can happen anywhere, but the way a restaurant responds to them is what sets them apart. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and genuinely concerned about making sure we had a great experience. The food was phenomenal, the staff was incredible, and the overall experience was exceptional. The breakfast burrito is fiiire. Surprised I didn't have this sooner. Ordering for pickup is easy and convenient plus the staff are super nice. I did order the coffee inside last minute while I was waiting for my burrito. The inside is big but there wasn't any seating during peak hour 12pm. I didn't check out the outside seating. Also I came again a few days after to get the strawberry summer matcha. It was okay but a bunch of my friends really like it. I get matcha from other places instead. We dined in here during the lunch time, had sandwiches and coffees. Coffees were good and the sandwiches were tasty though for the sandwich size the price was bit expensive . They have modern interior though very limited seating. We ended up waiting 10-15 mins with our orders and with our newborn to be able to find a small table to seat, cause there were lots of people with their laptops were reserving seats even though they have finished their single coffees. I would recommend management to at least make some time limitations at least during the peak times when people are coming for lunch or dinner. read more

I love Otherside Cafe! They have amazing coffee and their food menu is great! Depending on when you arrive, there may be a line out the door, but trust me, it's good! The cafe itself is a decent size with seating on the patio (that actually stays pretty cool, even in the hot summers), it's got a lot of natural light and has a clean, airy feeling. Employees are friendly and attentive if you need anything. Do yourself a favor and get their maple crunch latte, it is out of this world delicious, I ordered it 1/2 sweet and it was perfection in a cup. My kids love to get the donuts, I'm not a big donut fan, but Otherside's are actually pretty good! I prefer the OG breakfast burrito and the tri-tip cobb wrap, seriously delicious! The Otherside Cafe is a great place to hang out and have coffee with friends, or a quick bite with the kids. I just wish we lived a little closer. read more

The place was very bright and open. Kind of loud inside, so not a great place to work but a great place to socialize. The portions of the half sandwich and half salad were very generous. The flavor profiles were amazing. You could taste the quality of the food. We did order a Matcha honey vanilla latte, which was really good. Finally got to stop in sever weeks ago, to see what the hype was about! The hype is good! So, to keep this "Plain Jane". The food is good, the doughnuts are good (what can I say) along with the matcha! Have been 3 times, and it's been consistently good, which seems to be hard for some places. I've tried the Garden breakfast burrito, the OG breakfast burrito (easily top 3 favorite breakfast burrito) and a breakfast bowl (I can't remember the name of). Along with several doughnuts, and Matcha (one with just honey, other with lavender) and all of it was delicious! To wind this down, I get why people like this place. The service, the ambience and just the overall feel is nice. Almost reminds me of a place that would be, beach side with a view. All in all: Great food, service and ambience. I'm was in Fresno for a short business trip and always try to seek out local coffee shops when I travel, especially when I need a good spot for a quick meeting. OtherSide Café was high on my list, and I'm so glad I made the stop. First impression: this place is huge for a local coffee shop. The space is bright, airy, modern, and effortlessly upscale. Honestly, if I could design my ideal coffee shop, this would be it. It was packed when we arrived, which is always a good sign, but be prepared to wait in line. It's popular for a reason. The barista who helped us was wonderful. I mentioned it was my first visit and that I love trying signature drinks. Without hesitation, she recommended the basil vanilla latte and explained how the basil adds balance and a unique flavor to the coffee. She was confident, thoughtful, and clearly knew the menu well. I also ordered the avocado toast and added two poached eggs for an additional $4, which I appreciated since it's a solid way to add protein. You're given a number after ordering, and because the café was so busy, we ended up sitting outside. The patio was also full, but it was a beautiful day and a great spot to sit. When our food and drinks arrived, the server kindly pointed out that silverware and napkins are self-serve at a designated station. We hadn't noticed it initially, so that's something good to know if you're visiting. Not a big deal, just part of the setup. The coffee itself was excellent. Smooth, well-balanced, and thoughtfully made. While I couldn't distinctly pick out the basil flavor, the drink worked really well overall and wasn't overly sweet. A solid recommendation. As for the avocado toast, the flavors were great and the eggs were poached perfectly. The bread was a bit heartier and crustier than I personally prefer, but that's a preference thing, not a flaw. The food itself was good, though a bit confusing. There was a random strip of grilled zucchini plopped on top of my plate that felt... unnecessary, and the green sauce was a little weird. That said, everything else tasted solid. I also tried the banana latte, which unfortunately leaned more artificial than expected. Snuck in a rare kid-free breakfast date with my hubby and it did not disappoint. Tried a few new things instead of our usual spots and I'm so glad we did. I have to say, I am thoroughly impressed with this place. They make solid coffee and really tasty food. The meal portions aren't huge either which is appreciated for a coffee spot. The service is some of the best though. They get people in and out pretty quick. Interesting cashier staff. Most times I have gone to any cafe or restaurant, when I have questions the cashier or waiter is always able to answer my questions. However this time, I was asking about one of the items on the menu and how it was. I was wanting to know its flavor profile. The item on the menu was Athens Chicken bowl. I just asked for a little explanation about it since I can read the ingredients listed on the menu. I saw it said tandoori spices and so I just asked if the flavor profile is Indian inspired. The cashier just said "it's a soulful bowl." That sucked as a response because I know it's a soulful bowl because it's listed under "Soulful Bowls." That's just like if I asked about a soup and someone tells me "it's soup." Not sure, really was annoyed about that because it was just not insightful or helpful in the slightest. One of the last things I want to do is order something I might not like. That is why people ask questions... Ambiance is perfect and beautiful. So nice inside and inviting. The food is really tasty too. We ordered the avocado caesar salad and it was very good. Perfectly dressed, creamy and delicious. There's yummy croutons on it too. Additionally we ordered the Almond Chicken bowl. It is so hearty and filling! I felt really good after eating the meal. It had a variety of vegetables and it tasted wonderful. Since my below average experiences I've come back two more times. Once for a sit down meet up and second for an online pick up order. Both experiences have much improvement. Speedy, good service. Food and drinks out in a timely manner and taste of food on point. The burrito and regular avocado toast are my two top recommendations here. I enjoy the pick up window option very much. Since I live across town I placed my order around 11am and by the time I got ready, left, and found parking the food was ready to go and there was only one person in front of me, the line to get into the actual cafe is always pretty long so if you're ever in a pinch just order online. I know they don't have control over this but the parking situation sucks here. It's always a pain to find parking and yet they keep opening up new business but the parking lacks. I think I might have found one of my new go-to casual dining spots!! I was so impressed by the Athens chicken bowl here--a variety textures and ingredients but nothing that didn't belong in this dish. It was full of well-seasoned and roasted veggies, not the mention the tender chicken. I also had the beet toast which was packed full of fresh ingredients. I loved that it was very unique but the flavor profile was kind of light. The bread was perfectly toasted so I'm already anticipating the avocado or lox toast next! I came here for brunch on a weekday and was honestly shocked at how packed it was! We ended up sitting at the coffee bar because there weren't any tables open. I definitely had the thought, "Do people not work anymore?" (which I'm sure everyone else in there was thinking, too). Despite how busy it was, our breakfast burritos and coffees came out surprisingly fast. I was fully prepared for a long wait, but the baristas were on top of it. This place is amazing! I loved their food and their drinks are so delicious. I went there on a random Saturday a few weeks ago and I'm still thinking about how goo everything was. I got the OG burrito, salted brown butter donut, basil vanilla latte, and the golden hour iced latte. It was really busy but they went through the line fairly quickly. The girl who took my order was super nice and had lots of suggestions since it was my first time there. I liked how spacious the cafe is but the seating is a little awkward and with how busy it was, it did make it a little hard to carry a conversation. Had breakfast here with a good friend and one of her kids and 2 of mine. Arrived alittle before 9am, there was no line. Beautiful interior, clean and modern. The staff is friendly the lady at the register who took my order answered all my questions. Upon entry you order at the front counter and take a number and find a seat. They have outdoor seating available. Their indoor seating is comfortable and the a/c is on full blast. My friend has been her a few times and had recommended a few items on their menu. My order: sprinkled donut, monkey bread (warmed), bistro quiche, and the OG breakfast burrito and Golden Hour Iced Latte. Our order came out one at a time. Everything was so delicious!!!! The bistro quiche was so creamy, the OG burrito was yummy!!! I love the crunch from the bacon, wish the tomatillo salsa had a bit more spice as it was very mild to none. My daughter devoured the sprinkled donut so I didn't get to try and the monkey bread was so heavenly it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. My Golden Hour Latte was exquisite, I wasn't sure if I was going to like the. "Banana flavor" but surprisingly it tasted really good, the banana flavor was there but subtle and I throughly enjoyed it. Overall I had a great experience the food was amazing. Absolutely love the food here. Chef is definitely cooking up some deliciousness here. I ordered the smoked salmon toast and boy was it just a savory delectable item. The herb cream cheese, onions, chives, and shaved egg on the toast was just the perfect combo for me. It was quite a filling menu item. I highly recommend trying this menu item. The Miso Salmon in their Soulful Bowls was very good. Good portion size, it was a sweet and savory. Definitely a flavor and texture experience. It is quite busy here, it was hard to find seating for big parties. Restrooms for guests are nice and clean. Service was 4.2/5. It's the food here for me, will definitely come back to try more menu items. They also have baked goods at the POS ranging from cookies to muffins. Just bumped them up a star! I'm glad I didn't let the line sway me away from coming back because I almost didn't stay after seeing it. They were super busy yet me and my friend were still able to grab a table right after ordering. We sat inside this visit... As busy as they were, they were really good about checking up on us and picking up empty plates/cups. Thumbs up! This time around, I got the Almond+Mint. I was about to get it iced but the cashier nudged me in the 'hot' direction-- she wasn't wrong. I do want to come back and try it iced though. The drink was perfect temp, tasted yummy (really good mix of the two flavors), and just the right amount of foam for every sip. If you're not a mint/almond person-- that's a shame. You're missing out! My friend got the Matcha... she enjoyed it. I tried a sip of it and it wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad. We got the Avocado Toast to share-- very tasty. What can I say, except this cafe is exceptional. I went twice right after Otherside opened, and honestly, was underwhelmed. The food was "okay" and the coffee, to me, was weak tasting. However, I went back yesterday, and it is clear they have hit their stride! There was no massive line that I had experienced when they first opened (came around 10am on a Monday), and the service was prompt. I ordered the bacon breakfast burrito, a golden hour latte and a bag of cookie butter donuts to take home to my kids. The breakfast burrito was absolutely outstanding. It was massive, and clear the tortilla was homemade. The potatoes on the inside were perfectly crispy. I normally don't like a ton of egg in my breakfast burrito, but it worked so well in this one that I loved it. Last time I got the Spiced Ube latte, which I recall being "okay." But the golden hour latte was magic. You could taste the real banana in the sauce they use. The kids also loved the donuts, which were fresh and had a slight crisp on the outside. Overall, I'm so glad I came back to see how Otherside grappled with the opening "growing pains," because I was so blown away by what they have become. I will definitely be back! read more
