    Eggplant salad

Outstanding eggplant salad which I will definitely be back for but the pastries, although absolutely beautiful, definitely lacked flavor. Disappointing! The Sparkling Iced Coffee Americano had a strange sour taste which I found unpleasant although on a previous visit I had an excellent latte. There seems to be some inconsistencies. They have a lively patio and the interior is made for social media with a pretty interior. Definitely gets busy on the weekends and around lunch.

This was on my list for a long time. I went in the afternoon so there wasn't much of a crowd and I was attended quickly. The coffee was fine, but not something I would remember (I forgot the name already) the treats look decadent, but I had a big dinner. I think this is a fun stop and may return to give it a second chance.

Cute cozy place. Lots of light and seating. The staff is super friendly and helpful! I'll definitely be going back to try the moose desserts. I was overwhelmed by all the selections but everything looks amazing and delicious. Fruit tart 10/10 -- not too sweet and the custard was creamy and light. my fav is the crust! Fruit was also very fresh. Honey matcha 9/10 -- great matcha definitely one of the better ones I've had. Great color and taste. Sweetness was super light wish it was a little sweeter so the honey flavor was super faint.

Yava has become our favorite spot for lunch and breakfast coffee. They have very wide menu for lunch and it tastes good. The ingredients are well combined. The coffees are amazing. It's been already 5 years and we never got disappointed . Unfortunately I couldn't remember the names of the dishes but whatever is in the photos are very rich in flavors and must tries I like their friendly and patient staff, always keep smiling The interior is nicely organized, though outdoor seating would need a bit more attention on keeping the tables clean after each customer. We sometimes cleaned it ourselves or asked staff to clean it if previous folks have left some food leftovers.

Arrived around 10am on a Saturday and it was poppin'! It was very busy, but service was still speedy. The inside is super cute and very aesthetically pleasing. Seating is first come, first serve, but there's plenty of it, which was nice. We ordered a few things to try: raspberry mousse, apple turnover, and blueberry cake, plus a white mocha latte and rose matcha tea. The raspberry mousse was very rich, honestly, I mainly got it because it looked adorable. I'm actually allergic to cocoa, but I can handle very small amounts. The blueberry cake was really good, and the buttercream was just the right amount. I loved that it wasn't overly thick in the middle. That said, while it tasted good, you could tell it had been sitting out for a bit, the sides were a little dry. The apple turnover was a standout. They asked if we wanted it warmed up, which was a nice touch. It was crispy, flaky, and delicious. Pricing is a bit on the higher side, so be prepared for that. Overall, though, it was a good experience. I'd love to try a few more items, so I'll definitely be back!

This is just based on what I've tried so far, but still willing to try more items! I purchased the strawberry and cream cake, oreo cheesecake as well as an iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. The strawberry cake was delish, had a vanilla pudding flavor in between each cake slice and the strawberries complimented everything perfectly. The iced vanilla latte was good, pretty basic for an iced latte. Can't complain. The oreo cheesecake though was one of the worst desserts I've ever tasted. Unfortunately it has this quite bitter aftertaste, might be the cookie crust and you can taste a lot more of the "cheesy" flavor in this odd way. I couldn't stomach more than 3 small bites, and that was to hunt on where that bitterness was coming from, but they had plenty of cakes to pick from, so I'm open to trying more!

Yava Bakery is a go-to spot for many. The pastry case is always tempting, breakfast is consistently good, and the coffee never disappoints. It is on the higher-end price wise, but the quality is reliable. The Saraya French toast is a favorite and definitely shareable, though a bit too sweet for my taste. My personal go-to is the Yava Orange coffee, while my sister swears by the matcha with oat milk, my mom loves the honey matcha, and my brother-in-law is all about the Arabic coffee. The ambience is one of the best parts of Yava. It is lively without feeling chaotic, filled with conversation, laughter, and people genuinely enjoying the space together. The patio is lovely in the spring and fall, though I do wish it were fully covered to allow for more outdoor seating year round.

Ok. I truly wanted to love this place. It's so beautiful and bright inside. Spiced mocha was blah, and both treats we got we just ok. Also, I don't think treats and politics mix. It's also awkward to find a place to wait for your Togo items...no matter where you stand, you're in the way. I will, however, go back to try a few more baked items.

Delicious food and coffee. We got the shamshouka, plain latte, baklava latte and I think our last latte was a citrus latte. Lattes were great but the shamshouka didn't hit the spot. It was good but wasn't very spiced. Tasted more like a red salsa verde. I also ordered a feta/spinach bakery item. When all of our other bills came out before that, I asked a server about who said it would be out soon. That tells me they forgot about it since it was already made. They just had to be warmed up. After several more minutes, I tried to get the attention of a server, who then told me they left it in too long and it burned. They were all out now but could refund me or I could get another item. I got the zatar twist, which was delicious. Despite the hiccup, which likely happened because they needed one more person working at that busy time, the drinks were great, the food good and ambiance lovely. I should note that it is pricey and adds up fast. More of an occasional treat or to take others. Not an everyday breakfast/lunch spot for me.

I had super high hopes for this place! I am a pastry and cake lover. Whenever I try new places I like to let the employees select what they feel is the best item on the menu, and I go with that. Ordered was the passion fruit mousse, pistachio and strawberry cake, the chocolate cake, a baklava latte and a vanilla latte. Ordered to go was a baklava cheesecake. Customer service was great, helpful and cheery. The place was clean, order was brought out very timely. The cheesecake I purchased to go was offered to be refrigerated until I left, which was an extremely kind gesture. Passion fruit mousse: gorgeous presentation, flavor was kind of confusing and fell flat for me as passion fruit. I was expecting a very forward passion fruit tropical flavor and it just wasn't present. The texture was good, the outside had a kind of different feel and I presumed it was from the fridge drying out the mouse. Pistachio cake: this was my favorite item of what was ordered. The strawberry filling was decent. One thing they nailed was layer to filling ratio. If I hate anything it is a large thick slice of cake with a small layer of frosting. I adore European style with small layers of each. This cake was that way and executed nicely. Slightly floral taste as to be expected with pistachio and balanced by the sweet berry. If I was going to attend again this would be an item I may repurchase. Chocolate cake: First bite in cake was dry, drier than a cake should be. I cleansed my mouth and took another bite. The cake almost tasted like it was either old or the fridge had dried it out entirely too much. This cake was touted to me as their most popular seller and I don't see why. It was left as is on the plate. Baklava latte: I did not google or Yelp the latte first and didn't ask any questions. I let the barista make the recommendation for me. The drink came and was gorgeous and SMALL for the price point. Ok let's talk texture.. as a texture person this was a no for me to have pistachio pieces on top of the drink. I do not understand any circumstances dunk any cookie or anything into my drinks because of the gross mouth feel it gives me. This could have COMPLETELY been a me issue, my boyfriend loved the pieces of pistachio in the drink. The coffee on top was bold and strong, I drank the drink as it came without mixing it. There was a heavy layer of thick pistachio syrup on the bottom. The drink was almost bitter at the top and got sweeter and almost too sweet at the bottom. Vanilla latte: It had a good frothy texture to it, was hot, and was creamy but was sweeter than most lattes. It was my boyfriend's order and he enjoyed it. Price point: I don't feel the quality matched the price point and the size at all. Quality of bakery: I am the person that will drive three hours for a good pastry, I would most likely not return here on my own unless I was with a group and the group consensus was to come here. To go baklava cheesecake: I am used to very good quality pastry and cake. Presentation was beautiful, it was a tad better than the cakes eaten in house. Again it fell flat. It wasn't a traditional high quality cheesecake, it reminded me of the grocery store cheesecakes that are half whipped cream and half cheesecake which I'm not a fan of. The price point was around $50 and it definitely wouldn't bring me back. Piling pistachios and honey on top doesn't make something baklava. I wanted more, I wanted it to taste like baklava, I wanted to taste the Yava in the name. Would I return? No

I've heard tons of great things about this cafe and it just took me way too long to actually try it myself. The decor is beautiful, there are tons of tables inside and outside, and the music isn't too loud. The display case of pastries and cakes all looked amazing. I skipped the pastries because I knew I wanted the baklava latte and didn't want a sugar overload. It was really good, not as sweet as I thought based on other reviews, and super creamy. It was pretty overpriced for the size though ($8 for a regular). For food, I tried the beef shawarma scramble. It came with a side salad, potatoes and onions, and choice of bread. The beef had a nice flavor, the salad provided a nice freshness, and the potatoes were good too. I will definitely come back to try some of the pastries and maybe lunch options too.

Cute and classy place. Great plade for hangout or study. It's very spacious with lots of seating. Their menu is pretty big. They have a little variety of everything from breakfast, lunch, sandwhiches, soup, salad and drinks. Their menu is inspired by a combination of American, Greek, French, and Italian cusine. Yes, it's on a bit pricy side. I get it. It's a bit classy inside. It feels like a fancy coffee and bakery shop. ICED ROSE MATCHA - REG - $8 : Their matcha is low grade matcha powder. Its not smooth but clumpy. The rose petals were not my favorite. I would leave out the petal if I knew about it earlier. The petal is a bit rough. It has that tea feeling. I tried to chew it but it's not chewable. The fragrance of rose is really strong on this drink. The sweetness is very light. You can barely taste the sweetness. Describing this drink in one sentence; it's a bitter, supper rosy, unsweetened cheap matcha. Oh and it is an expensive little drink. $8 for a 6 to 8oz iced matcha. Not worth it. RATE : 1/5 ICED HONEY MATCHA - REG - $8 : Same thing with the iced honey matcha. Not that great. I can't taste the honey at all. It's on the bitter side. RATE : 2/5 CHAROLETTE STRAWBERRY CAKE : Yum. Their cakes are pretty good. The sweetness is just right. It's not supper sweet like from the grocery store. The cake is moist and soft. But a bit thick. The frosting feels like a butter frosting because it's heavy and thick. But the sweetness level is perfect and not too sweet. The strawberries were fresh. Jam is perfectly caramelized and lightly sweetned. I would recommend this! RATE : 5/5 AMBIANCE : It's clean and spacious with lots of seating. You can leave your mess there and they'll clean up after you. It's a bit loud and crowded in there during 11am. There's no line. RATE : 5/5 SERVICE : Fast but doesn't seem that friendly. They look tired and irritated. My matcha was under sweetend and i ask for more sweetner, they were very kind to add another pump. RATE : 4/5 OVERALL : 3 star for making fantastic cakes. I'll definitely go back for their cakes, pastries and bread. Also, great little place for hangout and studying. Other than that, probably don't expect so much from here. Their service is not that great.
