This is one of my favorite coffee place that is my to go. They have different sweets dessert to enjoy with your coffee. One of my favorite ones it's the Baklava. They have different types and flavors. They also have the Honey Comb bread. Very good too. It is soft and really good. Their coffee it's organic and they have different flavors, they have also have some new flavors. I will go back to try the new one pretty soon. Since you know any time it's coffee time. Highly recommended. I love the peaceful atmosphere. Invites you to stay and bring a good book and just enjoy a good drink and a great sweet pastry. Service it's always great. Went to check this place out 3 days ago. It was lovely. I ordered caramel macchiato and my cousin ordered something mocha. 2 baklava which were the BEST I've ever eaten. Environment was peaceful and friendly. Coffee was fantastic! The seats were custom chairs with low Coffee tables. Just an overall serenity in this place. Absolutely recommend next time you want to just sit down and regroup with a great coffee or tea. read more

The service is not that great. They randomly close early without any notice, so we would always have to call them to see if they were open, even when their hours say they should be. One time we called two hours ahead and they said they were closed already. Another time we called over an hour in advance again and they said they were closed early again, but they would stay open for us if we paid an additional $20 even though their posted times said they should be open anyways ?? lol. So they just close whenever they feel like it and aren't reliable. The owner also looks like he doesn't wanna be there and doesn't want customers, and the food is a hit or miss. Sometimes the honeycomb is good and sometimes it tastes burnt like they didn't put any effort into it. The inside is cute ig but I would never go back. Oh also my sister got the honeycomb and she asked for four forks in total so that our group could share it. The owner said that usually he charges for four forks but this time he wouldn't, which sounded like it should be nice but it's like why are you charging people to share ??? I've been coming to this cafe even prior to the rebrand and I've never had a bad experience from them! The employees are always very nice and their treats and drinks are always consistent. My personal recommendations are their Mokha Harbor Latte or Adeni Chai if you're not a coffee drinker. Since they've rebranded some of their food taste a little different but in a positive way! Immediately when I walked in, the smell of coffee hit me and I almost impulsively ordered one, especially after reading the reviews about the coffee here. Drinks have been consistently delicious at each visit but unfortunately the customer service is inconsistent, with questionable business practices. Owner insists on customers paying a 15% tip when you are a party of 4 or more; even when each person is paying for themselves. I'm not sure this is even legal. There is also a 45 minute max stay which is actually understandable given that the seating area is quite small; Though also enforced when there is plenty of empty seating available. With other equally good local shops that don't limit stay or impose tips, we will sadly be removing Bab Al Yemen from our tea rotation. read more

I picked up dinner at Curry Pizza Co a couple doors down and decided to get a few pastries from Bab Al-Yemen for dessert. Of course I had to get a couple of the honeycomb - deliciously slightly sweet bread with cream cheese and a side of honey to drizzle on top after it's been warmed. It's hugely popular for good reason. I also got two peanut bars which is more of a candy. There other spices in it that doesn't make it a hunk of peanuts, a delicacy. They were out of almond cake so I went with coconut which was so nice with coffee. We enjoyed everything and I apologize for not thinking to take photos! Service was pleasant.
