    Miso soup and edamame

LOVE THIS PLACE. The sushi is so fresh and so delicious. I will always come here for sushi. The service is always great and timely. I love the inside decorations and the amount of time they spent making the place looks amazing!

Brought my nieces and grandson at 4:30 on a Wednesday to experience hibachi and make a new memory. Several reviews commented on walking in and enjoying hibachi w/o reservations so I thought I was good. Nope! Only one chef during the week so we didn't get to experience it. We ordered two generic, kid-friendly rolls, fried soft shell crab, beef udon, edamame and two kids bento boxes. I left most of the second roll because fish was slimy. The soft-shell crab was mush vs fried goodness. The Udon was flavorless. Sadly, it was an all around disappointment. No to go boxes and ordering pizza when we get home! I REALLY wanted to like this place! The service was GREAT

I came to Kura today for lunch, excited for some Japanese food. the service was great, and the restaurant was super clean! I will say it's hard to customize plates, which is hard for me being gluten and dairy free, without extra charges. the food was good though!

Very busy place at 5:30 but mostly cleared out by 6:30. Very friendly waitress. She had us lugging so much! My husband got the short ribs which he greatly enjoyed. Our friend got an egg roll which turned out to be 6 halves! She enjoyed them so much. Her teriyaki bowl was also very good. I ordered shrimp stir fry. It was yummy but I would have preferred they use oil instead of butter. Nevertheless I'll eat the second half for dinner tomorrow!

The food here was SO good. Best sushi I've had in the springs. My mother in law and I do a weekly lunch date and this place was definitely a win. They were so kind to my tantrumy toddler and served us well. Clean and nice establishment

    Pork Katsu

We had a great meal at Kura The pork katsu was crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with the sauce. The rolls were fresh and full of flavor, with good portions, and will not forget the Takoyaki balls. The service was friendly, and the overall vibe made for an enjoyable dining experience. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for Japanese food!

We were looking for a local Japanese teppanyaki place in Briargate. We are visiting our daughter and son-in-law from CA so we had some reservations - we were greeted and sat immediately when we requested the hibachi. The atmosphere was genuinely serene and our drinks were brought out promptly. They took our orders and were then introduced to Justin, our chef. He was cordial, entertaining, and knew his craft. Our fried rice, veggies, and steaks were phenomenal and he didn't splash ingredients our way, always a plus! But it really was one of the best Japanese restaurants we've experienced. Well done, Kura!

    Lunch special

3.5 stars. The place is good for a lunch during work. I usually opt for the bento box, which is average but satisfying. However this time I got the lunch special with 3 half rolls. It's a ton of food and the rolls were tasty! The place is fine inside, and the servers are friendly and fast paced. I stuck to the floor, likely because of whatever mop solution they use, but it was weird to make a ripping sound while walking through the restaurant. It's clean though, so that's a plus.

Wow, what a disappointing nightmare of a mess with customer service. This restaurant is clearly understaffed, and I know a lot of restaurants are, so I always try to give restaurants grace, but... We dined in person in December and it took 20 minutes before anyone even came over to offer us water, but ironically they greeted the other table that was sat after us got them water and took their order before they even addressed our party of four. Then last night we did take out and we were missing a roll and a our standard roll that we always order was smaller than usual. Strange! Today, I called back to ask for a refund on the missing role and they gave us grief as to why we didn't call back last night...well we didn't call back last night because they were insanely slammed and their credit card system was down, so I just didn't want to hassle with it, so instead of making it right, they actually HUNG UP on me mid call as we were discussing the fact that I wanted a refund and expected them to make it right! Not to mention they can't give a refund over the phone that I have to actually physically go back into the restaurant, what a hassle! They were so incredibly rude! Unfortunately, there was not any sort of customer service going on at all and it was just a very defensive call on the restaurants end. Repeat customers are a restaurants lifeline and honestly I am a repeat customer here, but I will go to other sushi restaurants in the area that are just as good, like "Jun's" or "Sushi Ato"that have much better customer service! It's too bad because the food is actually pretty amazing, but until they can get their customer service up and running, I will never ever be able to recommend this restaurant! Trust my advice, dine somewhere else!

    Lunch Bento Box Special

Decent place for lunch, however does not stand out when there are several other nearby places that offer the same food but better quality. I have been here for lunch twice now and while the service is very good, the food is lacking. Both times I ordered different bento boxes (one beef and one chicken one) and the meat was not as flavorful as I was hoping and could use a bit more caramelization from cooking. The bento boxes are around $15 to $16 and come with the meat, rice, a small amount of iceberg salad, one fried gyoza and some tempura fried veggies. The tempura veggies were my favorite part of the box and the sauce that I dipped them in was good as well.

Everything was ridiculously good. Can't remember which ones they were. Sorry!

The broccoli was dry and overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were over salted and tasted like they were prepared from a dehydrated mix. My friend's MahiMahi was only so-so and disappointing. The view house welcomed us with open arms. As I stated initially in this review, the food and the ambience are amazing, but what really made the experience testimonial worthy was, Vincent, our waiter/server. Dude rolled in with a small notepad, a smile, calm demeanor, and took every order, every drink, every appetizer, and even dealt with all these freaking knucklehead kids. My family went…read morehere to celebrate a birthday and I was so sorely disappointed with Viewhouse in Colorado Springs. The location is great from downtown Denver to Colorado Springs. The specific location in Colorado Springs on Campus Drive was really a disappointment for a Viewhouse spot; not only was my food ice cold but the rest of my family's entrées did not have any seasoning. My child didn't even want to eat the pizza! How could you fuck up pizza? (I don't want to forget to mention that most of this food looks and tasted like it was constructed from commercial Cisco food products, when eating at a nice place like this and paying a premium for each dish/appetizer. Why the hell aren't you using better ingredients?) When a seven-year-old is asking to pass the pepper and salt for pizza and still not eating you know it's wrong. The school pizza I had in elementary school blows the pizza I tasted from my child's dish that day out of the water. My father had specific dietary request and the kitchen totally ignored that. Sometimes it happens and the server forgets to bring culturey and napkins, but oh my gosh, it was a wait. Imagine eating chips and guac right off the bat and not having anything to wipe your hands on, and then that continued throughout the whole meal. It was quite busy that day, a saturday. I looked around like maybe everybody was being too nice to even mention because they too were just as flabbergasted. This food is off and my family and I had gotten a whole array of different dishes besides appetizers, the fries were not fresh and gross. Not even ketchup could mend the disappointment. We were so hungry, we had drinks and ate what we could manage.. We still paid our bill like decent people and will never come back to any Viewhouse ever again. Two of us had gotten ill from the lunch and we just didn't even have the _____ to call and speak with the manager or anyone the day after, and the disappointment lingered for a few days after. Its was so bad like one of those situations where you don't even care to ask for a refund, just never go back...

He had the perfect amount of seafood flavor and a super crispy outer; I would recommend. Next, I had the ginger pork and crispy rice dish. This had a large helping of pork that did well with the Asian flavors and that crispy rice for texture; I would recommend. My final was the miso butterscotch tart. You can't go wrong with a dessert that has butterscotch, Biscoff, marshmallow and miso. The only criticism I could make was that the tart was pretty loose, but that did not take away from the flavor. To drink this place has lots of beer taps, a good selection of wine and plenty of interesting cocktails. I chose to have a couple beers and they were both very tasty. I would like to come back with additional people so that we could try more of the menu items.
