I came in 10min early for my appointment. He was running 10min behind. So after sitting there for 20min, I asked the guy at the counter if he would be much longer. He asked who I booked with. I said Jerry, then the barber closest to the counter spins his head around and stares at me. I ask if he's Jerry and he just stares at me. I ask if he's going to be much longer and he doesn't say anything and just continues to "mean mug" me. I ask what's the attitude for? Then he walks up to me and says "if you have a problem, we can step outside and handle it". I came in for a haircut, not a fight. So I canceled my appointment and rescheduled for another day.

I wanted maintenance and the bangs out of my eyes. But, I left with a totally different drastically shorter hairstyle that I didn't request. I even specifically told the stylist not to cut the sides since the stiffness of my hair causes it to stick out unless it's long enough to comb back. As you can see from the pic - the sides were cut and now stick-out. The pic also shows that the back is also awkwardly squared-off. So, I'm forced to find another stylist to fix what was done (which will sadly cause me to have an even shorter cut). I estimate it will take 3-4 months to grow back the damage done. My guess is that if you have very short hair that needs periodic maintenance, or, if you want that luxurious barbershop shave and men's spa vibe. This might be a great spot for you. They also have an entire section for mani/pedis that look super comfortable for dudes. So there's that too. But, I can't say it's a place where you'll get the cut you ask for.

This was not the first time this has occurred at this location. The customer service has been rapidly declining over the past 6 months and this will be the last time I visit or recommend this location to anyone.

Some years ago, I would get my haircut here on a regular basis. However, with parking being a problem due to the business next door, I had quit coming here. I was able to park in front of the barber shop shortly after a customer left. I was able to get a haircut with no wait and watch a Halloween movie on AMC to boot. As for the Halloween sequel, don't ask which one. I lost track after the third one. And none of them are as good as the first Halloween. Anyway, the barber gave me a great haircut. Short on the sides and a finger cut on top. And I was able to talk to the barber about the Halloween movie, the Halloween season, eateries, and barber shops. Nice to have someone to talk to. Unlike my neighbor who always goes on a rant about minorities. I start talking about something like music or food trucks, and somehow it leads to him going on a rant. Nobody wants to hear that sh..... But hey, I got a great haircut. And I do not have to worry about looking like a werewolf for Halloween. I will most likely return to Father and Son. Providing I can get a parking spot close to the entrance.
