gyro platter that comes with truffle fries, greek salad, and pitta. A side of tzatziki was depressingly forgotten

A review for take out. Food was prepared very quickly and remained warm for a long time. $13 Gyro platter comes with truffle fries (extra $1.50 upcharge), house horiatiki salad, and pitta + tzatziki. A side of tzatziki was depressingly forgotten. The salad was well seasoned to my taste, which does not happen often. The portion was huge. The pitta was warm and lovely. Wish they did not forget to put the tzatziki, so I could have tried it. Fries were okay, just regular fries sprinkled with cheese and for that you pay $1.50 extra. The meat itself was on the poorer quality. Very salty and the grayish color and dry, crumbly consistency were suspiciously concerning. I was starving, so I enjoyed the hearty dish. Quality-vise, that gyro leaves much room for improvement.

I really enjoyed this Greek spot. The gyros are really good and the vegan options are amazing. The prices are fair and definitely worth its price. I will be coming back here for more. I just wish the gyro platter supplied more pita bread, but that's not really an issue. I would highly recommend the gyro. The sides are also done well too.

The food here is absolutely amazing. The prices are so good!!! One person with dessert was only 12 dollars! This is the cheapest and best green restaurant in Staten Island for sure. The staff was very nice and the service is self serve. The overall restaurant is very clean and the overall vibe is really great. It's pretty casual as well so this is must try.

Food was good but I ordered a souvlaki stick and galaktoboureko which was the smallest portion ever, where is the rest ??!! It looked very sad and who ever cut the galaktoboureko like that needs to let someone else cut it. There is no reason for small portions when you are paying a premium.

Bill/ money poorly spent in my opinion.

Nope.... Not ordering from here again. The only thing I really enjoyed was the hummus and pita bread. That's all, the rest of my order NO GOOD. Hey & What gives with the (spanakopita) spinach pie ?? It had NO FLAVOR what's so ever. Disappointment, live and learn. ‍ Picture of receipt regarding my order and prices posted.

Very nice cozy restaurant . Staff is friendly and the menu is very nice . My salad was delicious as were my lemon potatoes. My lamb chops on the other hand were not good . Over cooked lamb does not taste good and these were extremely well done . Waiter never asked how I wanted them cooked but I wasn't worried because I was sure they would cook them well. Not the case . Others were pretty happy with their dishes though . May try it again not sure . The white sangria though was delicious

Mix Grill.. Chicken hyro&souvlaki.. It was good

The place is nice. The service is great, friendly, welcoming. I feel bad giving them an ok review.. Over all for the prices it is good.. I personally wouldn't go again. I love greek food have eaten it frequently and even make it at home... So there food is just OK.. Out of all we had I think Calamari was the best.. Chicken souvlaki was good but dry and not fresh. They dont have parking..

Never ordering from there again. First time ordering from the restaurant and I have to say I'm very disappointed. I ordered several items and there was an issue with a salad and a platter. The salad was missing stuffed grape leaves, which clearly states on the menu it comes with it. Then, I was supposed to get a Greek pork gyro and I received grilled chicken. I called the restaurant right away and the girl came off very rude. first she tried to convince me the salad has grape leaves. I told there is not one grape leaf in my salad. Then she tries to convince me that my platter is not chicken when clearly it looks and tastes like chicken. Not once was there any apology for the missing grape leaves or for my platter, all she said, " well, what do you want me to do" in a very disrespectful manner. She didn't want to send out my grape leaves to make it right. So I asked to speak to the manager, and she stated she was the manager. No resolution was reached.

I found this place by accident. I was heading down. Hylan, toward a diner that I like. I saw name…read moreon the sign, and it looked like a nice restaurant. Not knowing what type of a restaurant it is, I decided to stop in. What a pleasant surprise. It was a Turkish restaurant. There was a good amount of people in there, but it looked like I was the only "white boy." Everybody was very friendly, and the place was clean. I liked the atmosphere. I started with the baba ghanoush. I loved it. The flavor of the roasted eggplant was delicious. And the roasted flavor kept it from being too rich. It was creamy and delicious. I almost didn't have enough bread to put it on. And believe me, I was piling the bread high with that stuff. There was also a small bowl of marinated green olives on the side. I normally do not like green olives, but these were fantastic. The olive oil marinade kept them from being too bitter for me. For my main course, I had the Adana kebab. Ground lamb, red bell pepper, and paprika. I had a small, which was one kebab. It also came with a very nice marinated salad, and a decent size portion of rice, which was tender and had a good flavor to it. It also came with a red sauce and a tzatziki sauce.. the red sauce was too spicy for me, and the tzatziki I put some of it on the rice, and then the rest I dipped my kebab. The kebab wasn't spicy at all, and the red bell pepper, and the paprika gave it a great flavor, it was not gamey like lamb can be. It was also very tender. Everything was so good, I ended up finishing the entire dinner, and I was stuffed. I would've loved to try a Turkish coffee, but it was like 8 PM, and I didn't want to be up for the rest of the night... :). The price was reasonable. The only reason I'm taking off a star, is because they add an automatic 18% gratuity to the check, and then there's also a spot down at the bottom for a second gratuity. That's why you need to read your check very carefully. If you don't notice the automatic gratuity, you might end up paying a double tip. I thought the automatic 18% gratuity was more than fair. This was a great place. They also do breakfast. I would like to come in and try breakfast sometime. Thank you.

Parking is convenient, with spots available on both sides of the restaurant and across the street, which is always a plus in New Jersey. Once inside, the atmosphere completely shifts. The interior is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed, giving off an authentic and comfortable vibe. The staff were equally impressive--attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. The food lived up to the experience. Everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, though I would say it leans toward the more expensive side. Paying 18% and then 2 % card fee seems a bit much on the top of that the courses were a bit pricey. That said, the quality is there. The fresh bread and olives served at the start were exactly what we needed--simple, delicious, and perfect after arriving hungry. Overall, a great find that rises well above its surroundings. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Interior design is so aesthetically pretty and provides a wonderful and elegant dining experience!…read moreThe service provided by Behrouz was attentive, friendly, and warm, which definitely helped enhance the dining experience! Now onto the main topic, the food: This is by far one of the better middle eastern/seafood restaurant in all of Staten Island! The appetizers that were amazing were the chargrilled octopus, which is a MUST-GET, and the half dozen oysters which was by far one of the sweetest oysters we ever had (it was so good we ordered 3 orders!) The tuna tartare, calamari, and lobster bisque were all decent but nothing too special. For entree, the lobster pasta was perhaps one of the best tomato based pasta I ever had! Although the amount of lobster in the dish was on the smaller amount for its price, the flavor was so savory, sweet, and perfectly tangy, highly recommend it! The sea bass was good according to my family, but the flavor was on the milder side in my opinion; they liked it nonetheless so perhaps it's just a personal preference at this point. The lamb shank I would not get due to how overpowering it was; the sauce was salty and intense, where it overwhelmed every part of the dish. It was unfortunate because the lamb was so tender and had a nice proportion between its meatiness and its fat content. The dry aged steak was only okay too, since the spinach was so watery it soaked the steak in its liquid (as you can see from the photo), which detracted from the dish unfortunately. Overall it was a decent dining experience, where some were amazing and others were less so. It's a pricey dining experience but if you get all the right dishes, it's worth the price tag! Definitely recommend giving Sea Bar a try and I can't wait to come back again one day to give them the five stars I know they can definitely accomplish! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:
