His website says the office is closed but there is a link to Dr. Aichelemayer's cell phone number. Those of you at my age who call a doctor get the usual lead-in "if this is an emergency, call 911..." followed by nothing helpful to sooth my pain. I called the number and the DOCTOR ANSWERED!! This is Christmas Eve day and a Sunday!!! Walked me thru pain relief, the called Rite Aid and prescribed what I needed. All is well and I will report back to him after Christmas. I'm someone who does not easily trust medical professionals, and I've disliked going to the dentist since I was a kid. I actually avoided the dentist for a very long time, so unfortunately my teeth need some significant care now after years of neglect. After what I'd been told by previous dentists, I was convinced I was going to need around 10 fillings. I really appreciate that Dr. Gressel didn't make me feel like he was trying to do unnecessary work or make as much money off of me as possible. Instead, he's put me on an awesome plan focused on preserving the health of my teeth as they are, and right now I don't need any additional dental work beyond my regular cleanings. Thank you, Harbor Hill Dentistry, for taking such great care of me and making me feel comfortable and heard. After spending so many years absolutely dreading the dentist, I actually look forward to going now...which is something I never thought I'd say!

Finding this practice has been great, the front desk staff is very accommodating, emergencies are treated so kindly and quickly. I cracked a crown the day before Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and they got me in. Regular care and cleaning is smooth, I absolutely love my hygienist, Chalon! They are efficient, comprehensive and DON'T upsell at every opportunity, which I hate. I know love in Tacoma so it is a commit but I have zero plans to change, I will drive the 25 minutes.

Their policy is 24 hours, and I canceled my October 8 appointment by text on October 7 at 4:03 PM for a 4:00 PM appointment the next day -- only three minutes outside the policy window. The office also referenced a February 17, 2025 appointment that was supposedly canceled outside the policy, but the first text communication I ever received from them was dated February 25, 2025, and I never received any reminder or text regarding a February 17 appointment. ^^ I looked back and it looks like I did have an appointment on February 17 that I scheduled via phone call. On Monday, February 16 I was at Swedish hospital with my two young kids who were just diagnosed with flu A. It knocked us out as a family for two weeks! So that is why I did not make my February 17, 2025 appointment. So I guess they did give me a courtesy cancellation.... However it just feels like another dentist office trying to screw people over. Because this office is out-of-network for our insurance, the visit was already fairly expensive. While I truly liked the quality of care, I was disappointed with how the cancellation fee situation was handled.

Overall,…read moreit felt like they were quite forceful about trying to maximize the revenue from services. 1) When I called to make an appointment as a new patient, I explained that I had just had xrays done by my prior dentist (we moved here from out of town, so I needed a new dentist). The receptionist said "we really like to do our own." I had the xrays (less than one year old) sent over via email, because I didn't want to get a second set only ten months after getting them done. 2) I walked into the office after parking on the street (I didn't realize they have a parking lot). I was asked "did you walk here?" After the points I'll mention below, I get the impression they look for what kind of car people drive to see if they have money or not. 3) Hygienist says "we're doing Xrays," I say, "no, not this time." She seems fairly shocked and upset by this and says "I'll have to ask the doctor and see what he says." No - that's not how it works. I'm the patient and if I say I'm not getting xrays because I have a set that's 10 months old, that's my decision to make. 4) Dr Jeff Osborn comes in and is very apologetic about the xray situation. I appreciate that he's nice about it - but I didn't like that there was friction in the first place. Strong-arming patients to get xrays.. feels like they are trying to add another service to bill insurance for. 5) I was asked twice "are you happy with your smile?" (it felt like they were looking for upsell opportunities). Not out of line per se - but, combined with everything else, I got the strong impression they are less about teeth cleanings and regular dental care, and are very interested in premium services / upsell opportunities. 6) During the cleaning the hygienist says "we'll need to do the cleaning in two appointments since there's a lot to do -- we'll get the top today." Yes, I drink coffee, and it had been 10 months since my last cleaning (because we moved, and getting an appointment here was only available 3 months out). But in my 4 decades of getting teeth cleaned I've never been told "we'll do half today, and half later." I said "that's weird, I've never heard that before." The hygienist ended up doing the entire cleaning (both top and bottom) and not mentioning it again. But I was again left with the impression they were trying to milk me or my insurance for additional revenue. 7) I was asked about teeth whitening and orthodontics. Again - not out of line on its own, but another instance where maximizing the revenue from the patient seems to be top-of-mind. It felt like they have a "revenue checklist" and they make sure to check every item with every patient. Overall, the feeling I was left with was that they're a lot more focused on upselling and premium services than I'm used to or happy with. Asking if I walked there... that was just weird. If you use them as your dentist, and drive up in a BMW or Mercedes, I have the strange feeling you'll be treated like a significant revenue opportunity. The staff was nice, once we got past their initial extremely strong position that I get new xrays (which, I suspect they may have dropped it because my insurance company only covers yearly xrays and therefore new ones wouldn't be covered anyway). I wonder if the corporate ownership structure puts really strong emphasis on maximizing revenue. They were all very nice and I wish them the best. But I didn't like the feeling that I was a revenue opportunity more than a patient.

They use state of the art equipment and the staff and dentists are very customer focused and kind. I've most recently seen Dr. Fields, and she was painless, efficient and comforting in putting in a new crown. I've been to other dental offices over the years, so I've seen both good and bad. This is a very good office, with professional doctors and a great staff.

A cavity was discovered in an upper right molar. We hoped to remove the cavity and have a crown…read more It was found the tooth could not be saved. I opted not to have an implant. This tooth had a root canal procedure over 40 years ago and the three roots required just the right pain control for the lengthy procedure. I was amazed at the lack of pain during the pulling process but even more I didn't even need an aspirin after. No swelling, no excessive bleeding. I had to take care with a wateerpic for a few days. I have adjusted well to the loss of the tooth. It is always a pleasant experience with caring personnel and a comfortable homey environment. Dental care is esceptional.
