They will not refund for the recital that was wrongly charged for. They will not refund the card they mistakenly charged so the monies can come from me. They will not respond to me or let me know when money will be returned. Such a poorly managed business. I will never recommend a place that takes money from single parents that they are not owed. So I'm left a little over a month before Christmas paying for this recital that I don't have the money to pay for and they won't return the money. It's the right thing to do. I just don't get it. Do I have to beg for this money that you never should have taken? What do I have to do to get you to understand how wrong this is!!??

Our program is designed for the recreational dancer in mind, as well as lead those that wish to advance in the proper direction. We only use positive, uplifting, edited-family friendly music and class curriculums are catered to each age/performance level appropriately. Dancers can begin classes with Miss Darcy's Academy of Dance and Art starting as young as 2 and can continue growing their love for the arts on up into their adult years. We accept dancers of all abilities, ages and levels. For the dancer that wishes to pursue more advanced leveling of dance, we offer our Company level classes. These classes are based on more intensive technique and are designed for dancers that have had at least 2 years of training and have mastered all of the requirements of that specific Company level.

The emphasis is on each student being the very best they can be! That attitude toward the students translates into confidence, self awareness, artistic expression and excellence in the art of dance. In business for over 30yrs, thousands have passed through the AADBK doors and now enjoy successful careers and life skills due in part to the lessons learns at AADBK. I highly recommend anyone contemplating joining a dance studio give AADBK a long look. Friendly helpful staff, outstanding teachers and a state of the art facility are well worth the price of admission! Do yourself a favor and stop by AADBK today!

The favoritism is flagrant and pervasive; if you are not in competition or the child of a staff member, you will be blatantly ignored. Additionally, the atmosphere was openly hostile. I was bullied by both adults and other children there because I was not as proficient as the competition girls. The instructors were openly cruel to both me and others who did not fit their image, and my peers were often worse. I spent over a decade at AADBK, and I left feeling burned out, insecure, and devalued. My love for dance suffered immensely because the environment was toxic, not inspiring. Lori Messner at the front desk is the only one employed there who is worth any of your time. Kristen is a greedy woman who encourages this environment and should not be allowed to work with children. Your money will be better spent literally anywhere else, and you won't spend half as much as this place charges.

It's so loud, having conversations with my workout buddy or other members, is nearly impossible without having to get in each others face and talk really loud! So, I, along with other members, have gone to the front desk numerous times to complain. The desk personnel say, "we aren't allowed to adjust the music. The store manager has no say in this matter, either. The regional manager tells us to leave the volume where it is." Next move was to speak with the "regional manager." He was pointed out to me by one of the employees so I walked up, introduced myself and said, "Why is the house music played at such a high level?" He replied, "well, we like it loud." (REALLY? WHO'S WE???) I came back with, "can you please turn it down a bit? It's too loud. It's hard to have a conversation with friends and quite frankly, the music is terrible. Look around, every person in here is wearing ear buds or headphones listening to their own music; they're not listening to the PA system." I continued, "I don't like having to wear buds or headphones and hate having to lug my phone around while working out, but I'm forced to wear them to try and drown out the music in here. And I'd like to add, I have to crank up my "noise-canceling" ear buds so loud, it's painful and the house music still bleeds thru. It's like a "battle of the bands" in my ears. He replied, "well, maybe we'll take a look at it." End of conversation. Since talking with him, he surely "took a look at it." It's louder now than it was before. I'm seriously thinking about finding another gym. Yes, it's THAT bad. p.s. There are other issues, too but I'll leave those for another time. Hopefully LA Fitness corporate will do something about this matter.

She bilked money from families who simply wanted their daughters to learn the amazing sport of cheerleading and has now seemingly ran away and won't respond to any of our txts and messages. Here is my and many others story: My girl signed up to do the Brookside Jr Cardinals Cheer program with Trutek Dance Co. within the first week of flyers going out(First Week of April). We then were not informed of any practices, fundraisers, or possible uniform cost til May 31st. Come to find out other girls in the program had already started practice weeks prior. The director then seemingly would cancel classes without informing parents and was teaching my girl basic dances, not the chants and cheers need for sideline cheerleading. She moved location with no notification to the parents. She then abruptly asked for uniform money with just one practices notice , mind you with no fitting for the girls, in the last week of July. We stupidly gave the money for uniforms and have still never received either, my girls personal uniform or a refund for it. She has now held the Pom-poms that the Brookside Jr Cardinals program lent her to use for the season hostage. We then went calmly to her new studio on August 19th to request either the money or physical uniforms. She told us that she hadn't purchased them yet. We were then asked to leave her studio while she was in the meeting. Once we left we, the parents, called the police to mediate the situation. She either lied to us or the police because she told the police she was simply waiting on the uniforms to arrive. Why would we, the parents, call the police if we had been threatening her as she so claims. We simply want her to do the right thing and provide us with the physical uniforms or the money we paid for them. I also found out that she canceled a memorial/ celebration of life put on to help out a family a wonderful woman with less than two days notice. She still hasn't refunded the mourning family their money either. So in conclusion I would not recommend a company that has stolen from children and a non-profit organization(Brookside Jr Cardinals Cheerleading). Oh, and a mourning family. Shame on you!!
