I was an idiot and somehow popped the front bumper off while changing a headlight. Our local neighborhood mechanic wasn't able to come fix it, but he recommended I take it to Kwik Kar. Our mechanic had called ahead and informed Steve, the manager, of the situation. Steve immediately took the car back and popped the bumper back in after 5 minutes free of charge. Poor customer service. 1. I made an appointment to bring the car in at a specific time. When I got there I was told there was a two hour delay before they could look at my car. For good customer service they should have called me to make a new time. 2. I requested them to install a new electrical component as the existing one was faulty. I informed them it was not a blown fuse and i simply wanted them to replace the defunct item. After taking the car in they informed me I should take it to a dealership to replace the part and charged my $56 for diagnostics. I complained that I had not requested diagnosis as i had already known the part was broken. Good customer service dictates that they should simply have told me upfront that I needed to take the car to a dealership. There is much they could have done to appease a dissatisfied customer, for example clean my car as i was being forced to wait in any event; pass a credit for the useless "diagnosis". Instead, they have permanently lost a new customer. read more

Ridicules dishonest workers, they all Got close to my son car to look it when he got there. ( I wasn't there, he got home very upset). He just wanted an inspection done, car arrived in perfect condition, my son is a mechanic he did his car tune. The kid (I want to call him Something else "kid " getting in my son's car to "check the brakes", he decided to spin tires and floored the car causing a missed fire and his engine light came on. He told him cinicly as soon he get out of the car you Fail inspection you have the engine light on. Of course my son was furious he told him you just did it... He went inside told the lady in front desk what happen she move forward and said you still have to pay not saying anything about the employee behaviors or calling the manager or anything to handle the situation , Nothing, she does Nothing it all, the customers heard and saw what the guy did outside. She just wanted collect payment showing No concern of what just happen BS, they need to close this establishment I just went to each review they not reputable it all STAY AWAY from This place if you do not want your car to get DAMAGE for a simple "Inspection". I took my car in July 2013 to get an alignment done at the Paloma Creek center off of 380 and they told me that the bearings on the front right were bad and needed replaced. I got them replaced for $400-something for parts and labor, but after I left my car was making a noise when I turned to the right that made me uneasy. So a week later I took it back and they said they "put the hub on backwards" (which is impossible) but redid their service for free. So I left thinking that okay, they screwed up the first time but at least redeemed themselves. I was annoyed that I had to spend another 3 hours waiting on my car (I had waited 2 hours the first time they 'worked' on it) but at least they did it for free the second time because of their mistake. Now, in February 2014 I took my car in to a different shop and my boyfriend actually watched as they worked on my car (because he works there), and the bearing that Kwik Kar had replaced and put on there was so warped and the balls fell out as soon as they took it off. Kwik Kar did not do their job correctly and lied to me about it, I am EXTREMELY unhappy with their service. The shop my boyfriend works at told me (and I am pregnant) that I could have had a very serious accident if I kept on driving. read more

Disappointed. After going here twice for oil changes and having good experience; I'm sad to say this time was horrible. I pulled in and was greeted by a mechanic. He asked where my car was (I pointed to it in the lot) and asked where the keys were. I told him they were in it. I also checked in with the cashier who just asked me if I had been there before. After an hour; I asked the cashier what was going on as I was told there were only a couple people ahead of me. She went into the garage and came back telling me "Oh you're up next." I like this place. They are quick in getting services done. They do try to sell you a lot of flushes, but you can always say no to the service. Stick to the factory recommended services and decline all other additional maintenance stuff. Other than that, good place, decent prices, and good people. read more

Same as everyone else's post. Came for an oil change and inspection. They tell me I need brake system flushed and brake fluid changed. They also took forever to do change the oil and inspect it. I thought this was "Kwik" Kar. It's cool though, plenty of other places to get work done. Oh, and I've been here since 8:30 (it's 10:19 now) They also sprayed my windshield (to clean it I assume) and it now has spots that I cleaned off with washer fluid. read more

We have been going to this location for roughly two years. Each precious visit we rally had no major issues. This last time we brought my wife's car in as well as mine for just an inspection and oil change for mine. Typically we leave for the 30-45 min and go have breakfast next door. While eating we received several phone calls about needing this and that. Funny thing was, my truck had all its filters and fluid checked few weeks prior at dealership so I knew they had been recently replaced. Upon arriving back we were told that both our brake fluids needed to be replaced because of the "green" tent to them. So the "expert" shinned his flash light to show us the green tent. The "expert" was shinning his light through the green filter that sits on top so obviously it was green. My truck only has 4k miles on it! Then my wife's coolant needed to be flushed out because of the dark tent to it. He showed us this with his dirt finger."see it's really dirty" he said. Smh I said " you think so. Of course it will with dirty finger". There was a few other things but can't prove like why were there dirty finger prints on my glove box for an oil change? I reached out to the owner to share my concerns and shockingly I never received a response. I highly advise everyone to stay clear of this shop. The techs and mechanics will lie to you rip you off and leave you with an unsafe vehicle. They left my wife's oil cap off, left my engine shield halfway off after a oil change and then lied to me about it already being damaged. The owner of these shops hides his contact information so no one can complain directly to him, despite there being several complaints to the BBB and the attorney general concerning scams, broken vehicles and price gouging as well as at least two civil suits pending. read more

Have had several bad experiences in the past year: Took car in for alignment in 2011. Did a poor job. $90 gone. Couple months later, waterpump went out and couldn't drive it anywhere except right up the road. So, had my waterpump replaced in 2011. Not one year later, waterpump was going out again so called to take my car in, again. Told it would be $85 just to look at it. This time, it would drive just enough to get to Denton, so I took it to the Dodge dealership. Told that the pump was not proper installed the first time around and would need to be replaced, again. $400 wasted at Kwik Kar. Asked about getting a brake light replaced/wire-checked to see if it was working. Told it would be $85 an hour just to look at it. Yep, I'm done with this place. read more

Never returning to this place. The quoted me an oil change price, $60.00, so I went ahead and let them work on my car. While waiting, they called me saying i needed my transmission worked on and an alignment. Mind you, i had just had one done, along with new tires and breaks. When the oil change was done, the *lovely* receptionist said it would be $90.00. I asked why the price difference from the quote and she said, well i quoted blend. She did NOT clarify that when i asked for a price. I called their whole place and work ethic shady. The receptionist rolled her eyes at me. Here's the deal, this place is full of scam artists. You'll take your car in and they'll pull you to the shop and say, "Your XYZ fluid(s) need to be flushed." They literally do this EVERY SINGLE TIME. However, all you have to do is say, "Nope." Once they kept pushing the issue and I literally had to say, "I don't care if my car blows up a mile down the road. I don't want it done." Then they dropped it, did the oil change (but conveniently forgot to reset the oil change counter). Pretty good place to get an oil change, you just have to stand firm that you don't want any additional work done. I would not recommend going here for any serious repairs. Oil changes and inspections are OK. Other than that, go somewhere else. read more

I would give this place no stars if possible. They took about 45 minutes to do a state inspection when it was not busy (about 3 PM on a regular weekday with only a couple people in the waiting room) on my 2014 Mazda 6 and somehow managed to scratch the paint on my driver door down to the primer with what appears to be a screwdriver. I may not be in-the-know, but I can't imagine a scenario where a technician would need a screwdriver or similar hard metal tool to complete an inspection. I tried to discuss this with a manager and he tuned out about 5 seconds into my complaint (can't tell you his name as he did not have a name tag or other identifying info displayed). Needless to say I won't be back, and I highly encourage everyone reading this to avoid this place as well. Yes, I understand that this is easily fixed with a $10 paint pen from the dealer, but I wouldn't appreciate a moving company scratching the paint on my drywall in my entryway or a cleaning service ruining part of my suit pants so I value this blatant disregard for care and compassion similarly egregious an offense. read more

As I arrived a guy named steven met me before I got out of my car. I asked for 2 simple things. I needed a price on a oil changed and alignment/balance. He said okay we will get to work and proceeded to ask for my keys. I said okay and what is the cost on it? He said " oh just go inside and I'll add it up. Then I go inside the guy tells the girl something ( o could nor hear) then she asked me to fill out paperwork. So I did and asked where my car went... she said oh he is just pulling it in. I proceeded to tell her that all I asked him for was a price check NOT to start. She went back and told him and he finally made his,way into the office to provided me a price. 160 he says plus tax for oil change and alignment/balance. I said that is fine. They began working on oil after 30 mins of it sitting and all the employees not working but instead talking all huddled up. As more customers came and gone a,man then called me into the shop to tell me he would like to add more work. I proceeded to decline but her began to get very abraysive. I refused and said thanks anyways (never got his name). I have now been here just over 1.5 hours and they also had a parts guy come in and he and the first guy be proceeded to argue over delivered part. As I look into the shop people are talking using cell phone and seems there is not 1 person here in charge of managing anyone. It is completely horrible service. My car is sitting on alignment rack for 45 minutes and there is not but one person halfway working on it. I will never do service with this location with any of my cars again. Last time was bad but this time you have lost my service. Needing new management of this place to ever make and keep customers. Do your own research on your repeat customer rates. I bet you don't hit 10% for 5 or more visits. You have the right location bymut horrible practices. Poor management and lack of any professinalism. Went to have my oil changed, and the mechanic pulled me onto the floor to tell me that ALL of the fluids in my car needed to be replaced. He sugar coated it and told me that they could have everything done in under a hour--but I was suspect of needing just about every fluid in my car replaced. My father is a skilled mechanic and he told me later that day that my car didn't need anything done except for an oil change. The mechanic continued to push me on the issue, which was border-line ridiculous. I had already declined the service--leave it at that please. When I received my receipt for my oil change the "suggestion" area had all of the fluid-changings listed. The price to get everything that the mechanic was pressing was HUNDREDS of dollars. I just wanted a simple oil change. Please don't push people into serviced that their vehicle doesn't require and take advantage of ignorance, Will not be returning anytime soon. read more

I went to this location today for a vehicle inspection to register my car. They were great, they came to me in the car to ask if I'd been helped yet, put my name on the list, and took my car pretty quickly. The tech inspecting my car, Jessica, was super friendly and went over everything under the hood. And this may be strange, but for an automotive shop, it smelled so good in the lobby, very clean and neat as well. I will come back to this location in the future. read more

I have brought vehicles here for annual inspections with no issues. Recently I decided to have the oil changed on this trip and will not be returning. After completing the oil change one of the technicians decided to inform me that the check engine light was on. Considering it was not on prior to entering the shop I questioned when did it come on. He informed me that the technician said it was on when he pulled it in the shop. Why wasn't I informed immediately prior to servicing the vehicle?The focus was to sell me services that I know for a fact I do not need (because I normally perform all of my own maintenance) and not to let me know that I have a check engine light on. I am not sure what their intentions were but not informing me immediately made me question the integrity of the shops service and technicians. Not that I am surprised, but the check engine code has not returned. In the end, I had to reset my own oil change reminder and am very disappointed with the experience. Also, my wife was told that she needed a transmission service on a sealed transmission that Toyota will not service. Steer clear of this place! read more

I went in to get an oil change on my vehicle. They completed the oil change and as I drove off I noticed that there was a shop screw in my tire. So I did the logical thing I turned around and went back and spoke to the manager and explained to him what happened. He starts to tell me that this could have happened anywhere, This is when the conversation got heated, he then called the police, I left . I was not upset by my experience there because the tech was very professional, I was upset by how this was handled. He could have said sir, please come inside and fill out a claim form and I will note the incident. But he did not I asked could I talk to the manager he said I am the manager(but not the owner) This is a learning experience for us both. Never call a person a liar to their face(manager) and for me never do business with unreasonable people. I tried to keep my cool but, that sent me in the wrong direction. I had just paid $125 for an oil change why would I lie about something that minuet. Anyways I got the tire repaired but it's the principal. I was not there nor did I come back there to get over on anyone I told the manager I am an honest person. I guess honesty does not mean anything these days and if you handle customers the way he did he will not be there long. read more

Absolutely terrible! I took my jeep to get a state inspection and a car wash. The car wash knocked my rear fender off completely and then stopped leaving my car covered in soap. The manager Steven Shuler was dismissive and rude. He refused to even refund the money for the car wash. He kept falling back on the line that other cars go through there every day and nothing like this has ever happened. When I asked again for a refund of the car wash money he asked me to leave. BEWARE!!! THEY SCAM AND STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! This sorry excuse for an automotive repair shop is a front for stealing your money. I took my vehicle in to look at my A/C and recharge with freon. They not only did not fill with freon but quoted me over $700 in repairs. They said they recharged it and it all leaked out and then proceeded to charge me the service $100 to tell me I had a leak. I knew something was off so I took it to another facility. The 2nd shop was able to fill it with freon and gave me a statements stating I should have no problems at all. I've also heard from other private mechanics in the industry that this place is known to practice in this manner. I have since filed a complaint with the State District Attorney and plan on filing a civil suit. I questioned they're tactics and gave them a chance to resolve the situation and someone named Steven stated that I cannot threaten them and swore they performed the service. They are privately owned by a man named Frank Dudowicz who has over 6 or 7 locations. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO THESE THIEVES. THEY WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE A PROBLEM AND OVERCHARGE YOU FOR SERVICE. read more
