I love this place. My regular mechanic is Jose and he's a very honest man. I went in because my tires were unevenly wearing I wanted to see if there was more than alignment needed. They had me go to a different place to get an alignment check, to make sure all the parts are correct and proper and if so then to do it wherever as they're the same price. I went into brakes plus and they tried to sell me about 900 dollars worth of services/product. I brought my paper with all the things they said it needed and they checked it all out. None of the parts bent or need to be replaced. I very much appreciate the honesty here, and would suggest any ladies looking for a non threatening and honest mechanic, to definitely check this place out. read more

Went to Main St Oil and lube for inspection. Gentleman there moved me out of line to move another car. He then took the next car that pulled up after I had been waiting 20 minutes. Very rude when asked what happened. Said I didnt have my insurance card ready. BS and I will not be back. Too bad, I like to support local business. Dont hire idiots. read more

Longest I've ever had to wait before pulling my vehicle in the get worked on or inspected was 20 maybe 25 mins with other vehicles in front of me.and if you needs tires hit up the guys next door. I happened upon this place a month ago when I needed a quick oil change. Thank heavens I did. They are awesome!!! I recently went back to them with a bad catalytic converter. I had planned on using an after market part that my boyfriend purchased from eBay. Didn't fit. Shocking. So I ordered a new catalytic converter from auto zone. Main oil and lube kept my car no problem while waiting for the part to come in. 2 days later the part is in only to find out they ordered the wrong catalytic converter. Ugh. At this point I call in a rush because I've been without my car for 3 days. I happened to call another auto parts store close by and they had one in stock. Shocking. So I run and pick it up and it's now 3pm. Main oil and lube had my car done by 9am the next day. Not only do most mechanics not let you bring in your own part they most certainly don't hold your car for days so I can save some money buying my own part. My car works great and my boyfriend and I will take both of our cars there for ANYTHING that needs done. And we will be sending all business their way. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED read more

I've come here many times over the years for nothing more than an oil change and inspections so can't speak for any major repair work. What I can speak for is my experiences to date. I am always quickly greeted by a pleasant employee and have never been told they don't have time. They are beyond timely, courteous, and always willing to answer questions. You can even grab a haircut inside with the barber if you so desire and even he is a breath of fresh air to chat with while you wait. It's a little tucked away if you're not familiar but call and get directions because businesses like this are far and few between!!! read more

This is a great shop. I like that when I go there everybody knows who I am, and I'm dealing with the same people every time. Jason owns the shop and he is usually there leading the crew. I've never felt like they were trying to pad the bill or add things that I did not need, and the repairs they do are first-rate. If there's a problem, you call them and they fix it. I was there once waiting for my car to get an oil change and a girl came in asking about something wrong with her car. Jason walked out, took a look at it, and told her she did not need what the other shop had told her. He is really good at telling you if you can get a few thousand more miles out of something before it needs to be repaired. read more

jason is fantastic. my old mechanic retired and apparently there were a bunch of new people working at the firestone i used to go to and they wanted to charge me a fortune claiming i wouldn't pass my state inspection if i didn't. they were trying the whole sexist 'she's a chick, she doesn't know anything about cars, she'll do whatever we say and pay whatever we want to get her sticker'. ahahahahahaha NO. jason isn't condescending or patronizing at all like that, and he's fair and straight with you, prices are great (parts aren't marked up like crazy - if you can buy it from the store yourself and it's the right part, like something silly like wiper blades or an oil filter, you just get charged the labor rates). even the autozone right down main street recommends him highly. so glad i found this place! read more

Peace. There is nothing better than having peace about who you're leaving your repair to. I trust Jason and his team with my vehicles. He will shoot you straight and keep your best interest at heart. If someone else is saying "you got to get this work done now" and then Jason looks at it and says, yeah, maybe, bring it back in 6 months then we'll see if it needs the work, you've got a good honest guy on your hands. He even called me to say, "are you sure you want me to do this 1200 dollar job?' I don't think it will ultimately solve the problem. We need to look at a different option," that gives me peace. read more

Terrible service. I went early Saturday and there were two cars there and the employees just let me sit there and never offered any help. I sat there for 15 minutes with multiple employees just looking at me so I left. They obviously can't handle the business so I will take mine elsewhere. Too many options for a small shop like this to treat people poorly. read more

I had gone to a brand tire store in Frisco Texas to have my tire fixed. The manager told me I needed new brakes. I told him it would have to wait. A month later I took my car to Main oil and Lube (The Colony Texas). They inspected my brakes and proceeded to tell me that I didn't them yet. This is the best place ever. Always honest with all the work they do. They will not tell you that you need work if you don't. They don't over charge you for anything. read more
