Used to be our go-to place for our cars because we felt valued and felt they were honest about what we needed and didn't need done on our cars. Unfortunately, this place is no better than any other. Was told they no longer wanted to change the oil in my car there anymore because it needs a special filter and they didn't want to go get one for me anymore like they had been doing several times before that. I only go here to get an inspection and that's it. They kept my insurance card when I checked out during my last inspection several weeI called to see if it was there and the MALE who answered the phone said the front desk girl was "gone for the day" and then proceeded to tell me he couldn't find it and basically accused me of being ignorant by suggesting I look in the car. I asked him if she had a cell phone and he said, "Yeah." I told him to call her and ask her where she left it. He acted like I was imposing on his getting off work in 5 minutes. Turns out he found it and we got it back the same day, but he didn't have any concern about our having to drive back at all. ----Edit after reading Jeremy's response--- I appreciate your concern and am sorry you and your staff didn't feel capable enough to do what was recommended by the vehicle's manufacturer. I've taken my vehicle elsewhere in town since being turned away by you with no problems and have had the best service. So I guess it was a gift in disguise. read more

This establishment will mislead customers into thinking numerous things are wrong with their vehicle and hand over a long list of items needing repaired. I just bought my Mom a pre-owned vehicle and she noticed a small oil leak. She just happened to stop by this Kwik Kar location in Keller where they were QUICK to give her a long list of items that needed repaired, then proceeded to tell her the car was not worth repairing anyway as it would cost over $2,000 to repair. For an 85 year old Senior to hear this was very disheartening and frightening at the same time. After she called me balling, I immediately took the vehicle to my local mechanic in Southlake for a 1 hour diagnostic. This ASE certified mechanic found two small items wrong that would cost appx. $250 to repair. Huge difference of opinion. If you go to this Kwik Kar location, Just leave your wallet at home as you will leave totally broke after these crooks are through. read more

This is not the only location that is run by manager Jeremy "a liar and a crook" took my car in this past Saturday to get oil change n check everything else-I told the tech that checked me in that it needed all the grease fittings greased as I turned the chair in waiting room around to watch,the guy just got started-finished oil changed n closed the cage no grease fittings were touched... fast forward to Monday my car overheats blowing smoke all over!!after calling roadside assistance they said it looks like the radiator cap wasn't tightened...now I'm completely angry at this shop for how they treated me n my car I called the manager Jeremy who lied to me n had an answer for why what ever happened was a problem w my vehicle before I brought it in!!! I will never be taking anything in to this place again, and the only reason I gave them one star is because my iPhone won't let me post without one. On August 16, 2013 I brought my BMW 325i in for an oil change. I didn't have an appointment but they fit me in anyway and got me back on the road in no time... About a month later my serpentine belt began making a whirling sound. I ignored the sound for a while, but finally brought the car back to Kwik Kar of Keller two weeks ago (early February 2014) to have them take a look at it. Alex (no idea if he's a manager or owner or mechanic or what) popped the hood, and after about 7 seconds announced that I should "take it to the nearest car wash, clean it up and get rid of it." He pointed out that my serpentine belt was soaked in oil, and then further explained (again after a 7 second inspection) that I had a massive leak up in the engine, and that it would cost more to repair than the car was worth (again, this is a BMW we are talking about). Fortunately my father owns a body shop back home in Kentucky, and so not taking 7-second Alex's advice, I drove the car home this past weekend to get a second opinion. We popped the hood, started the car, and discovered oil pouring out from around the filter, down the engine and onto the serpentine belt. Kwik Kar of Keller had not only used my old filter (whiles charging me for a new one) but had stripped the old O-ring sometime during the oil change, not allowing for a seal. I have been driving around since August with oil dripping out from beneath my filter, and I hadn't noticed in my garage because of the underpinning!!! The car is supposed to hold 6.5 quarts, and mine barely had 4! Thank God I heard the oil-soaked belt whirling or I might have burned up my engine! I travel a lot with my work, and bring my cars in to be serviced all over the country, but I have never been to a less-professional, uncaring, sloppy place of business as the Kwik Kar of Keller. Even after they had so badly fouled up my oil change, charging me for things they didn't even do, they tell me to get rid of my car because of a problem it didn't even have. It's places like this that give mechanics and body shops such terrible reputations for taking advantage of people, and I don't leave Yelp reviews but I felt so strongly about this place that I felt it selfish not to make people aware. read more

Had my wife's Jeep in today and during the car wash the rear door was allowed to swung open too far which broke the retaining arm ($75 part). I was called over when the door wouldn't shut and saw the arm was pulled loose and explained the same to what turned out to be the car wash manager. I went back inside to talk to what I assumed was the manager, only to find out she was the cashier and then explained to me that they probably didn't cause the issue because they wash lots of Jeeps there. I then proceeded to get into an argument with the car wash manager who said I told him it was already broken...? Finally another manager I think named Scott came over and while they won't replace the part they did offer to have their service manager install it after I purchase it. What a frustrating end to the 'free car wash' I got for having them perform a radiator flush on my wife's Jeep a month back. Needless to say I won't be going back and encourage others to stay away, especially other Jeep Wrangler owners! There is a reason they only have a 3.7 star review on Google, I should have known better! read more

i went in for an oil change in my Volkswagen Jetta last week. I waited for 30 minutes un greeted while everyone was just standing around smoking vapes or pens (god knows these days). I Finally got greeted by the assistant manager, who reeked of alcohol. He could barely form a sentence so after 8 minutes of trying to decode this mans language he walked away and i waited another 5 minutes for them to find a worker that can drive stick. i made my way to the counter where i waited and watched the manager sit on his phone for what seemed like too long for a manager? i finally got his attention, told him what i wanted and took a seat. The oil had to be sucked from my car (like most Volkswagens) which usually isn't a problem except it seems like they've only trained one person in the whole shop to do the job. All in all it was an hour and a half adventure for a lackluster performance. 0/10. Needs new management. read more

Every time I go to one of these kwik kar places they're always trying to sell me something, I should of learned my lesson previously and not come back. I figured I'd give a new (to me) location a chance only this time, again, I'm again told I 'need this service' on my vehicle for 80-100$. If you notice, the techs don't do the sales pitch it in front of other customers in the lobby they bring you to the vehicle and show you how 'dirty' '(insert random fluid) is' and to 'fix' the 'problem' it is only '$$$' and they make it sound like your car will never run again if you don't get the service. What really ruined my experience was the Kwik Kar tech didn't even put my oil filter back on correctly (too busy pitching me extras!) and my car has been leaking oil!!! I fixed this *HAND* tightening my filter, but seriously how incompetent is that? I don't change the oil because I don't know how, I change it because I don't have a big enough garage. I will never use this place again. read more

I received a quick oil change today and the service was prompt, respectful, and done to standard. Unfortunately, when I was leaving, I noticed a 1.5 foot long scratch on the driver's door that was not there prior to my visit (I know - I actually have situational awareness). When I confronted the manager, he immediately defaulted to denial. "I spoke to Jim/Joe/Tom and he said that he noticed it right away when he brought your car in. I was already there." This lack of integrity is unacceptable, but predictable in this day and age. He took no responsibility, offered no restitution, nor even an apology and proceeded to stand there without any other response. Suffice to say I will not be returning to this establishment in the future, nor do I recommend it to anyone else. Try Jiffy Lube. read more
