So last weekend we called C&D Automotive because our car was overheating and needed the water pump replaced, we inquired about their availability & they informed us to have it brought in Monday and they could start right on it! We had it towed there Monday afternoon, they called to let us to let us know that the vehicle arrived! We also informed them that we would like to have an oil change and emissions check added to the services and they were happy to oblige. They informed us that it would be roughly Wednesday at the latest for completion. On Wednesday morning I received an invoice via text to review the itemized invoice! followed up shortly by a call from the owner ensuring I got the invoice and that everything looked accordingly (his estimated price quote) was highly accurate ...very satisfied! I was able to pick up my vehicle shortly there after with no subsequent issues just in and out!We are extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism, honesty, prices, mechanical repairs, efficiency and timely service & delivery! One of very few honest people around. Went in to have my back brakes replaced. Asked him to check front. Told me I had another 10k miles left on the front so I didn't need to replace now. We moved down here from Minnesota and needed all four brakes and rotors changed as they were rusted and down to metal on metal. This place was close to our house open on a Saturday and was able to get us in the same week we called. Labor and parts were better priced than any other place we had gotten quotes from. Very friendly staff, and the work was very fairly priced. My car is European--full synthetic oil--and still the oil change price was very reasonable. I mentioned I wanted to replace the cabin air filter. Instead of doing it no questions asked, they explained the filter was costly and offered to let me know if it looked like the current filter needed to be replaced. As it turned out, it didn't, saving me a decent amount of coin. While I forewent it this time, they also offer a unique treatment to clear carbon from older direct injection engines, improving engine responsiveness It is a fraction of the cost of doing it the traditional way. read more

I took my 2005 VW Beetle in because it was overheating. I dropped off my car at 7:30am and picked it up at 4:00pm. All of the work was done and I paid a fair price. I was very happy with the quality of work that was provided. The owner was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. He explained all of the work that he did and showed me the worn/broken part. It is difficult to trust auto shops but I have had a very good experiance and I wanted to give this busininess a big shout out! Thank you! I came here based on the high reviews of other Yelpers. When I arrived, the person performing the state inspection told me to wait for 10 minutes since he was on the phone. Seems kind of odd. Personal matters should be considered secondary to taking care of his business matters. It was definitely about personal issues because it had to do with some tickets he purchased for a friend, and the friend now cannot attend. I sat on the beach and waited, and this place was hot. No air conditioning at all. He hung up the phone perhaps since customer service made him wait. He approached me, but then the phone rang. It was about the same issue. I waited for several minutes. Finally, he was able to help me. The inspection itself took approximately 15 minutes. It costed $25.50. read more

Took my car in for brakes squealing. Received a call looking for the lug nut key. Forgot we had lost it so asked him to break the lug off. He said he would but I would need to get the lug replaced. Later he called to say the brakes were fine they only needed to be blown out, no charge. I was quite happy till I got the car home and realized the lock was still there. He hadn't even taken the tire off!! Took the car to another repair place and they confirmed needed rotors and pads. Even showed me how bad they both were. This guy is lazy and dangerous. Good service at a great price. It's a smaller shop but they go the extra mile to do good work. I brought in a used vehicle I had just bought for a bunch of fluid flushes/changes, and they did it all at a good price without trying to upsell me. When they found out my oil pan was leaking, rather than tell me that I had to change out the pan right then and there (as many mechanics would have done), they sent one of their guys out at no extra cost to get a longer plug and fixed the problem on the spot. Very fast service by two nice guys-the owner and an employee. Called and received same day service for a broken light and a state inspection. I've had my share of auto body shop experiences and this was the fastest I've ever had. 20min tops. I was prepared to sit and wait an hour but thankfully it was quick. The reason this isn't a 5 star review is the shop isn't set up for someone to sit and wait for their vehicle. It is a tiny front area with one bench and lots of clutter. They are good at what they do and I'd rather support a local shop, however I won't use them unless it's a quick repair or I have a ride home. read more
