It seems a squirrel decided to make our car its home and chewed through some wires. They repaired the wires but the check engine light was in. It wasn't on the last time the vehicle was running. Hoping it would reset or clear we went ahead and took the vehicle since it was just about closing time and we needed it that night to go to class. It hadn't reset by morning so we called them and when we took it back they wanted us to pay more. We had just paid for them to fix it so why wasn't that done? They gave us a load of other things that needed to be done so why not check that? Do not use them. read more

I urge everyone to stay away from this garage. I had a nightmare dealing with them. I dropped my car off for them to inspect a leak in my cars brakes . Andrew called me to tell me that I have to change the master cylinder and the brake booster and that it will cost me $1500. I asked them to verify if there are any other issues with my car they said it was in tip top shape. The second day he called me and said the car was ready . I went and picked it up on my way home the brake felt very weird and it was making a lot of noise when I stepped on it. I called Andrew and he said I needed to bring it back. After the mechanic checked it he said the master cylinder they installed was defective. I was ferious how could they let me take a car home with a defective master cylinder and a defective brake booster without checking the car for safety first. I could have died in accident due to their negligence. He said he couldn't do anything about it and that it was out of his control and promised to fix it. The car stayed there a week and I was left without a car he did not offer a rental car or any kind of componsation for the inconvenience of keeping my car longer than promised. I lost a friend over the weekend and I needed a car to travel for the funeral but when I told him this he did not care! The next week he called and said they fixed it but he still needed to double check the car. I asked when I could pick up the car and he had no answer for me he said it was being worked on at the garage. I decided then to go check on my car. We went there and the car was not in the garage it was parked outside. When I told him he lied to me and the car was clearly not being worked on he said he was "just "about to call me and tell me it was ready but he got caught up with work, but when I got there he was not working he was busy chatting with his crew mechanic. I also paid him to fix the rear sway bar kinks he charged me an additional $261 but the problem still there! I took my car and left, the car is still making noise. He did not fix it properly. I just wasted $1500 . All they did was put me in danger to drive a car with a defective master cylinder and defective brakes. Please stay away from this place they are unprofessional, disrespectful and they don't care! I should have checked the reviews before trusting them with my car. Absolutely terrible. We have been to them on multiple occasions hoping our experiences have been an exception and not a rule, boy were we wrong. Our latest run in with this company came when we went to get an inspection. They claimed we needed both catalytic converters replaced and were quoted $2100! We shopped around and sure enough we could get the same work done for $500. Let that sink in. That's less that a quarter of what we were quoted here. This is not the first time we've had an outrageous quote or parts that all of a sudden MUST be fixed which later turn out to be unnecessary. Is the alignment completely affordable? Absolutely. Did they get the vehicle aligned? Almost, but not perfect as there is still a slight pull. Was I treated well? Absolutely NOT. The customer service was abysmal. It started when I walked in. He has his hand out. Not to shake my hand as I thought, but for my keys. He questioned the work I did on my car multiple times rather than just try and get the vehicle aligned and then told me about how poorly the work I had done on my car was when I picked it up(could i have been that bad if they aligned my car with no difficulties). Sure it was cheap, but I won't be going back because the customer service was horrid. Here are some tips for you, alliance dyno: 1. Say hello 2. Introduce yourself 3. Took the old Volvo in and left it for afternoon to have safety sticker replaced. Came back 5 hours later...they acted like I had never been there (a manager threw another service writer under the bus telling me he was new)!! Car had not been touched, and then a manager asked me to bring it back on Saturday morning going through this long winded explanation that they would have to drive it for 20-25 minutes and then put it on a dyno for 20-25 minutes for the safety sticker because of age of the car...oh, and that it was good to have a Saturday as they usually need to work on cars to get them to pass. I read the another review about their customer service being bad. My experience has been fine. Employees were always friendly although they were less social when they appeared busy. They took me in on time and got the work done very quickly while I waited, about an hour and a half. Andrew was my main contact there but I also talked some with Jeff. I would go back again. I have never in my life dealt with a shady shop as this. We have dealt with them for years and have never gotten very piss poor customer service until this time. My car was there at 7 am as scheduled on Friday they didn't even attempt to get to until after 3:30 pm after my husband went to check on it. If they would have gotten to it in the beginning it most likely would have been done or they could have found out a lit sooner the parts were not right. They didn't even offer or attempt to make sure we had a car and all of this crap is their fault that I'm sitting here and disabled with no car. read more

STAY AWAY!!! THIS PLACE IS FULL OF CHEATERS AND THEIVES!!!! They are very rude, condescending and dismissive. My check engine light came on and was idling rough. I checked the code with my code reader and it showed, cylinder 1 misfire. I took my car here for them to diagnose the problem. They couldn't figure it out after almost 2 day and FINALLY said it was the spark plugs. They "changed" all 4 spark plugs on my vehicle and charged me $281. That was on 9/1/2021. Over the weekend my car started idling rough and check engine light came on again and the code was the same when I checked it. I had another mechanic look at it. He pulled out all 4 spark plugs and they were not new! Less then 3,000 miles were driven and they would not look like that. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and disputing the charges with my credit card company. read more

My wife and I have been taking our vehicles here for the last 3 or 4 years after finding them randomly to have a shop bid-back on service quotes from a dealer (not only did they win the biz then, but ever since). Recently my wife had come in for an oil change and asked for a quote on brakes, tires and alignment. Well 2-hours later the manager, Jeremy, asked what else she was there for and she said just the oil change; appalled he quickly addressed the job himself and came back apologetically and offered not only no charge for the oil change, but also new brakes and alignment if we would get a new pair of tires (from discount) and bring it back within a week. We brought it back 10 days later due to schedule and they not only lived up to their word, but also threw in a tire rotation for free (since discount for some reason likes to put them on backwards). Scott also made sure to swing by and shake hands and say thank you for your biz as he always does. Reasonable prices, friendly service and so far from what I have seen quality work. Normally don't write negative reviews, but I caught the "owner?" in a lie. Had an appt for an oil change and state inspection a few days ahead of time. They told me they could only do an oil change because their inspector was out sick. Another customer came in for the appt right after but was told it was their machine that needed to be recalibrated by a state official before they could do any. I stayed for the oil change because other shops were still just opening and unfortunately 2.5 hours later they told me that their regular oil change guy was out so that's why it took so long. Did't mind the wait (even though I should've), but more importantly don't like the lies - even if they're little white lies to try to make customers feel better. White lies lead to real ones and you can't have any from a "trusted" mechanic. The "Free Check Engine Light" that morphed into a Diagnostic - I went in for an oil change today and told them that I had an engine light on. I disclosed to them that I was aware that they would check my engine light "for free." They then told me when they checked the diagnostics they could tell me why my light was on. They did not disclose that a diagnostic was an entirely different service than simply checking the "check engine" light. If they had atleast given me a price I would have understood what they were doing. The diagnostic is not part of the "free" check engine proceedure that they have posted all over their facility and charged me $108 for a diagnostic that I did not agree to. What I thought would be a $30 trip for an oil change and "free check engine light" evaluation turned into $140. I don't mind paying for a service rendered whatsoever, but what I do take issue with is that this was not disclosed. Scott shrugged his shoulder and said "there's nothing I can do about that." If you google "what should I play for a diagnostic on a car" the price range is anywhere from $20-$100, so $108 was beyond the highest price range listed. Bottom line: When a customer is spending $$ to get an oil change and asks for the "free check engine light" test and the deal changes, customer should be made aware of the extra charges incurred. The manager absolutely didn't care. The I-don't-give-a-sh*t shoulder shrug along with the extra $108 was reason enough for me to never want to go back. "FREE" is not free at this place. Took my car here for the first time and had a great experience! I'd had issues with my radio turning on and off while driving so I took it to Driver's Edge on Main Street Keller. They couldn't fix the radio...said I needed to take it to a dealer to reprogram the software...but found about $2k worth of other repairs that needed to be done on my car!!! I decided to shop around for all the services and Alliance Dyno was half the cost for everything so I took my car there. After a few hours I got a call from Andrew at Alliance Dyno saying he thought the issue was my alternator and recommended changing that. We did and the radio was fixed! Oh and he said all the other stuff Driver's edge had found was bunk and didn't need working. He saved me over $1,500.00!!! For what it's worth, while I was in the office I overheard another customer being told that the $700 brake and rotor replacement the some other mechanic had quoted him wasn't needed...they got him taken care of for $30. This is the worst auto repair place I've ever been to. I was quoted a certain price and then had to pay an additional $400 to drive away in a car that was still malfunctioning. I ended up having to take my car back twice and after a total of 3 times I had to take my car somewhere else. Trying to talk to the owner or manager is impossible. They tune you out and start acting like unreasonable babies if you even give the hint that you're unsatisfied with their service. The owner acts like they're nice and have great customer service until you sign. After that, good luck to you. Please take your car somewhere else. We are very impressed with Scott's integrity and commitment to get the job done right. I took my son's 2003 G35 in for a front end alignment hoping to escape with the $29.99 deal, however, the car required more extensive work so I got another estimate. Both said the same thing but Alliance was less expensive and Scott reduced the price more by searching for after market parts which were fine by us with the car having 87,000 miles and may not keep it much longer. He also offered us a free front end alignment after we had to replace the wheels due to a bent rim. It was all a costly venture but it had to be done and they made it easier. We will never take our car here again! My car was originally brought in to inspect the power steering and they found the pump bad and fluid leaking. I also wanted the struts changed so I provided my own parts and they said they would take care of that also. For the power steering they flushed the lines and changed the pump but stated that there might be issues with the rack and pinion because it was still making a lot of noise. When I get the car home it is making so much noise and I drive it for a few days to see if it would get better as recommended. Since I do a little work on cars I took a look at the power steering and decided to flush and bleed the lines again. This took care of that issue. However, once I got the noise taken care of with the power steering I noticed that the strut on one side sounded bad. I discovered that they didn't even install the struts correctly leaving a spacer out. When I took the car back they tried to blame it on the part being "bad" and charged me a labor cost again! The service guy wouldn't admit that they installed them incorrectly and then told me that Gabriel auto parts were not good! Feeling frustrated with the service I called to speak to the owner Scott Thornberry, since there is a sign on the door that states that he will be happy to help if there are any issues. Andrew the service manager stated that he could not give out Scotts number, however, and I asked to have him call me and they could not do that either! The service manager stated that he could not refund our additional service charge for the bad installation but would be able to provide any additional service. Now why would i want that? Scott worked on our 2006 Jeep, we had AC issues. They replaced the thermal expansion valve and discovered it was actual the coils in the dash causing the problem. They replaced the coils and recharged the system for 85 the cost of the parts, because Scott felt it was the only fair thing to do considering they had diagnosed it wrong. I was blown away especially considering the dealer when I called them quoted me 1200 for the same job. I trust these guys. Their prices are among the lowest they charge 14.99 for an oil change! read more
