Been there before, had a ok experience . Not this time! Just an oil change. it was fast, probably a bit too fast!.Three miles down the road horrible scraping sound from underneath the car. The plastic oil pan cover was not screwed in properly and was dragging. See Photo. Returned to Kwik Kar, employee showed me the damage and said he could fix it. I should have pushed for a new part to be ordered, but did not. It was not fixed, it stay up a week and started dragging again just after we left town and were back on the cross county road trip and had to be removed. Won't be back. read more

Additionally, air impact tools were used throughout the service, raising serious concerns about potential damage or stripped components beneath the vehicle. This was a rushed and substandard service for a job exceeding $300. There is a clear reason customers are not permitted to observe work being performed. Furthermore, a tire rotation could not be completed due to inoperable lifts or lifts occupied by nonfunctional vehicles. This reflects a broader lack of organization and professionalism. Do not go here. If I could give zero stars, I would. We took our car to get an oil change, but had MAJOR ISSUES. Problem 1: the technician didn't put the plate fully back on under the car. It was half off as we were driving home. Took it back to get corrected. They did fix quickly, but c'mon, this should be standard. Problem 2: they crushed our oil filter. Instead of replacing it, they crushed it. Which in turn created a slow leak of oil, which we didn't know was happening until a week or so later. We were driving in McKinney and my husband noticed the car was fuming black smoke because we basically had no more oil left. We had to take it to another Kwik Kar down there, but of course they are independently owned, which found out the oil filter/can was crushed. Problem 3: because of problem 2, our car now has a film of oil all over it. My husband went to speak with the manager and he reluctantly reimbursed us for only the service done at their store. He said they wouldn't do anything for the other service we needed to have done in McKinney, wouldn't help with the oil now destroying our paint on the car or the oil that leaked on our driveway. He was so helpless. We asked to speak with the owner and he said he couldn't give us that information because it was "per their policy". He claims he gave the owner our contact information, but also stated "he likely won't call you back". Now we are going to out hundreds (if not thousands) of dollars all because they couldn't change our oil correctly. WORST SERVICE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

AVOID... If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my car in for an oil change and the picture below is an hour later. I had to go somewhere else to get the problem fixed, turns out they didn't put the drain plug all the way back in which could have ruined my car if I hadn't stopped to allow the oil leak to be seen. I was told they'd rather reimburse my tow to them (after hours) than reimburse the oil change which makes no sense. When talking to the manager about the policy he brought all the guys from the shop in to stand behind him, which seemed like an intimidation tactic to get me to leave. Nobody could look me in the eye and it was extremely unprofessional. I did ask for the owner to call me to discuss a refund and make it right, no word from them. While the service here was quick the employee talking to me left me feeling uncomfortable and was disrespectful. After I walked in he immediately handed me his card for a mechanic and explained to me how to read his business card.. I understand how to read. He asked if I needed a job and I replied "No thanks i'm good". He asked again if I was sure and I said yes i'm sure and asked if they were looking for people, to which he said they were always looking for people. They had four staff and only my car so it felt weird to ask me that multiple times. He saw I was working on schoolwork and voluntarily apologized for me being in college. At the end of the transaction he told me to ignore anything offensive I might have heard them saying outside. Overall I won't be back again. I've been using this location for 10 years at least. They do a good job and are very friendly. Oil changes are fast and easy, no pressure on seeing other possible issues but are paying attention to spot them. The mechanic employees have been a little challenge. It's really hard to find and keep good mechanics. Overall, all issues I've had, they've gone above and beyond to correct them. I recommend them totally! read more

My truck was smoking so I pulled into this station. I was told that a ton of stuff was wrong with my AC and it was completely undrivable. I asked if there was anything they could do so I could just turn the AC off and make it home and the guy said no, I wouldn't even make it anywhere. Quoted me $1100 to fix the whole system. Well, I called my brother and he bought a $25 AC bypass belt (funny, that wasn't mentioned by Kwik Kar) and put it on in the parking lot. My boyfriend has been taking his cars to this shop for a few years now and usually only trusts one person to work on his vehicles, Danny. We brought one of our cars in to get an oil change only to be told Danny is no longer there. Came in to have a blend door actuator replaced that controls the defrost. Told me that they couldn't do it because it is an eight hour job. Took it to another mechanic and had it done in thirty minutes. They didn't even look at it to see. Mechanic just said "nope, we can't do that." I know who I won't be coming back to again. read more

I assume that if I frequented your establishment more than three visits a year,the inspector would have overlooked the wipers? I'm not sure what you were trying to imply when you made a comment about my two specific stops at Kwik Kar. I'm glad that you enlightened me about the state regulations for wipers. It would be interesting to know how many vehicles fail inspections at Kwik Kar. I believe that most vehicles inspected by you would fail due to your high standards. Fast and friendly. Had a standard oil change. They also replaced a missing screw from my skid plate and aired up my spare tire in the back making the low tire pressure sensor finally go off which I wouldn't even have thought about checking. I recently got this vehicle and I'm glad I came here for my first oil change. They checked everything and made sure I was in good shape. read more

This place is terrible. They put to much air in my tyres causing them to wear down and taking at least a year off their life. When I complained to the manager/owner , they denied doing it and the attitude of staff is disgusting. Basically they don't care. Very rude employees. Dont waste your time going there! I went there today to get the oil changed in my 2015 F250 diesel. I asked the manger how much it would cost and she told me 80-100 dollars. When I went in to pay my bill it was over $130. They charged me $12 up charge for the oil filter $10.98 for one quart of oil over the 12 quarts that was included in the oil change and another $15 up charge for synthetic oil. They put Rotella 10w30. The guys that did the oil change were super nice but I feel like I was taking advantage of and was lied to b the manager. This is the last time I let them change the oil in my vehicles. read more

I've always used Hogans Jiffy Lube in Sherman and it always runs less than 70.00. Unfortunately they're closed on Mondays. I could understand a little more but I wasn't expecting to get raped.
