I woke up in the morning to take my dog for his daily walk. When I went to open the door, it wouldn't open at all...the knob would turn but the latch wouldn't release. I took the door knob off thinking I could somehow get the latch to release, with NO luck I knew I needed to call an expert. I requested quotes & Bill got back to me right away. I got a few other quotes after him but my gut told me to go with Bill. I'm so glad I listened to my gut because it was right on the money on who to go with. I called Bill & he was very courteous on the phone. He told me he could make it out later that day (which was exactly what I wanted) & that he'd call to let me know when he was on his way. About an hour later he called to say that he was on his way & would be here in about 45 minutes, it was EXACTLY 45 minutes. He had to really work on the latch that had been in place for over 40 years but eventually his hard work got the door open. He really didn't feel like a professional that you hire for a service, it was like hanging out with a good friend. He was pleasant to be around even showed what happened with my latch. When I say pleasant I mean he was good spirited & even was polite in holding a conversation with my 76 year old lonely mother. NOT only did he provide exactly what I wanted (the door open) he tried his best to fix a stubborn door that had problems. He could have just been like anyone else & did the job he was hired to do, but he was a perfectionist to fix what bothered HIM. If you are looking for a true professional locksmith that is pleasant to do business with, fun to hang out with, and doesn't rip you off then PLEASE do yourself a favor & hire Bill! This review is long overdue. Bill helped me get into my home in the middle of the night after I was Locke out in a freak situation. I was home alone watching some Netflix when I decided to take a smoke break. Walk out to my patio like I have done 1000 times before but this time, the door.locked behind me. At first I though someone had ninja'd into the house and when I stepped outside they locked the door behind me. After waiting and listening I realized it was just a ghost or bad karma. It was late so most of the locksmiths I called didn't even answer. The first two I reached sounded awful and they questioned my story. They must have thought I was a criminal or something. When I reached Bill I was a little frantic but he stayed calm asked me a few questions and told me when he would arrive. The dude was a pro. He showed up and got right to work. The door handle on my condo had been kinda wobbly the last month or so and I had been having a hard time locking and unlocking it. Well this last Sunday it gave up the ghost and locked me out for good. It would take the key but would not disengage the lock. Pulled out the trusty Yelp and Bill was the first guy I called. Answered right away and said he could be at my house within the hour. For context, had just listened to the replyall podcast that was all about how shady locksmiths are and that there are a lot of spammy, low quality businesses out there doing bad work and upcharging customer unfairly. We have been living in our home for over 7 years with a patio door that didn't lock. In addition, at least two of those later years were spent struggling with a front door knob that wouldn't open without much difficulty. Our experience with using KwikPick Lock and Safe and in particular with Bill was just terrific. Fortunately he was available at the time we called and he came over within 10 minutes as he had said. We discussed what we would like to fix and the locks that needed replacement and rekeying. Bill was very experienced and made recommendations which were well received. The work was done efficiently and with much explanation as he went along. We felt so comfortable with him that we did not even ask for a quote and just went ahead and had the job done. His final I'll was unexpectedly low due to a promotion he had going and he could have charged more simply by not mentioning the promotion. I filled out their online request for service/quote. Within an hour, I received a phone call and Bill said that he would be able to come to my house at 4:30pm. He called me twice. First to let me know his other calls were taking extra time and he would be at my home between 5pm and 530pm. He called me second time to let me know he was on his way. My lock would not lock with the key and he determined it was beyond repair so he showed me replacement locks. I selected one and he fixed it so I could use my old key and he quickly replaced it and showed me how to use the keypad. He also advised me where to find a tutorial on how to re-program the code and told me to call him if I had any questions. Excellent Service at a reasonable price!!! read more

I had the best experience with Kwikpick Lock and Safe. Bill was on time, worked quickly and even took the time to explain a few things to me, which he didn't have to do. He even saved some old parts for me and showed me how to use them in the future. I can't tell you how refreshing it is to finally have new hardware on two doors that use the same key!!! I needed someone to cut the lock at a storage room I am renting in Phoenix but live in the DC area and needed my mom to meet Bill at the UHaul in PHX so that he can cut the lock. Bill came out to our home today and saved us from having to replace our whole front door! I purchased a solid wood door from Home Depot 7 years ago and it was custom made but I didn't know at the time it was one of the hardest doors to fix the lock set! He tried to salvage my lock after drilling it to save me money but in the end, I bought a new deadbolt and he installed it.
