After many, MANY, years of trying to find and work with several different computer repair firms/people, I can honestly say that Kyle's Computer Repair may have been my greatest find. Linn is knowledgeable, helpful, thorough and any other other positive adjective you can think of. More importantly, he truly cares about helping and goes the extra yard to help out. His basic fee is $69 which "covers most repairs". And if you think that is a disclaimer and that there is no way that your problem can be fixed for $69, think again. I had a complete hard drive crash and needed Linn to (a) salvage the data from my old computer and (b) set up and place the data onto my brand new desktop (which, by the way, I had shipped directly to him). Not only did he do both of those, he even loaded my Outlook 365 and set it up, and dealt with other set-up jobs that I would have normally had to deal with. And he did all of this in two days! I use my computer for work, so this short turnaround was important to me. So, a "rush" job surely had to cost more,, right?? I mean, there's a catch with that price, surely. But, no -- $69 --- AND he spends some time with you when you pick up to ensure that you can see the work that was done and to ensure that everything is set to your satisfaction. Oh, and I forgot to mention that he shared some great pre-purchase information with me regarding desktop computers (this, before I was even a customer) which ended up saving me $300 by explaining to me the differences between the computer I was going to be buying (HP i8 Core processor), and how the difference from the lesser priced computer (an Acer with an i7 Core processor) would more than meet my usage needs. And....I LOVE my new computer Acer computer that he strongly endorsed! My only regret is that I didn't find Linn and Kyle's Computer Repair sooner (did I mention that just two weeks earlier I had another repair guy work on my computer in Temecula (it had crashed), only to see it crash again a week later after picking it up??! The only place I would go again. Linn works out of his house, but is completely legitimate and above board. I stressed to him the importance of my computer and that I needed it for business. He helped me diagnose it over the phone and told me I needed a new hard drive. He quoted me over the phone 3 different options because of different sizes and told me his labor rate. I dropped it off to him at 11:00 am on a Thursday and he quoted me 48 hour turn around. He called me at 4:00 pm that same afternoon and said he ran the hard drive test and it failed right away. He installed a new solid state hard drive copied all my data from my old hard drive and had it up going again. I was so relieved. I didn't lose anything, but I did also have a backup if needed. We thought our computer was dead and he diagnosed it to be just a failed $50 part. We got it fixed and saved ourselves hundreds of dollars in getting a replacement!! Not only did he return calls quickly, but he took the time to talk to us and explain what he was going to do and the cost. Yes it's true. Computer repair very reasonable price. Yet excellent service. Nowadays. You can pay allot and still not get the right care. My heat sink fan was going out. Making a very loud noise. I like too keep my system on 24/7. Not green but Windows likes it. So the thing grinding was not good in my bedroom. I had mine picked up for a $20 charge. That is pickup and delivered. And $69 for the repair. Which the heat sink had too be removed to change the fan out. Total of $89. Come on. I can have my computer picked up and repaired for less than the other guy. I called at 3:30 P.M. It was picked up at 4:00 P.M. or 4:30. And it was back at my house 10:00 A.M. the next day. And it is running faster and better than ever before. I called Kyle's Computer Repair after a soda exploded all over my open laptop. The gentleman explained that more than likely I would need to have a replacement keyboard put in and it could take a week to a week and a half for the part to come in. I explained that I am in grad school and couldn't go without my computer for that long. He suggested I try using a wireless keyboard as it would not only be a temporary solution, but would also make sure that the computer was still working and wasn't effected by the soda bomb. I needed to have a complete overhaul done on my computer. It was running slow, wouldn't complete updates and got to the point where it was too frustrating to even use it. I ended up putting my computer in the closet and forgetting about it for awhile! I came across Kyle's Computer Repair on yelp, and decided to give it a try. Taking my computer to the geek squad at Best Buy wasn't something I wanted to do, not only because it's expensive and then the price changes depending on what they tell you they find, but I don't totally trust all the employees there. I've gotten so many different answers when I've asked questions that I was dreading using them. I am so glad I came across Kyle's because my computer is fixed and amazing! The price was way better then anywhere else, and he actually listens when you explain what is going on with your computer.
