Very nice guy came out to my house, tried really hard to diagnose my computer problem, couldn't, didn't charge me (bless his heart). He wasn't really familiar with my type of computer which is a gaming machine, with a video card and high end components. I appreciated his efforts, but ultimately found out the problem myself, which was bad memory. A memory test should be pretty standard, huh? Nice guy, though. read more

This guy is the real deal. If you have a computer issue...large or small. He runs a small but very personal operation and knows his stuff. He checks things out and fixes what needs to be fixed....and asks before he proceeds. You bring your computer into his shop....he fires it up and takes a look...tells you what he needs to do. I was very impressed with Linn and how fast he fixed my computer. He was very informed about the computer and how it works. When I picked up the computer he reviewed everything that we had discussed about cleaning it up to speed it up. He also removed a virus that was the reason for needing his service. I was so nervous when my computer needed to be repaired. I read some reviews for Kyle's Computer Repair that sounded great so I decided to give them a try. I am SO glad I went with Kyle's. Linn serviced my computer. He was professional, knowledgable and so fair. He is in this business to help people with their computers, not to get rich. He came to my house and went over with me what the problems were and took my computer to do the repairs. My computer was finished earlier than had been expected, the price was fantastic, and I know he did a bunch of extra things that the big service stores would have charged extra for. When he returned my computer he even went back to his house to get a different cable connection, of his own, to use for my computer that would make it run better. We have used Kyle's Computer Repair for several years. I was out-of-state recently and during my absence Linn Wilson, owner, was tasked with completely overhauling my existing hard drive. Instead of waiting for my return, Linn personally called me back in Minnesota to notify that my existing hard drive and operating system would literally be out-of-date i.e. toast! by 12-31-2019! With his guidance, over the telephone I was able to purchase a new Lenovo Hard Drive and Window's 10 Operating System from our local Best Buy. Then he personally drove over to Best Buy to pick up these items on my behalf! During my out-of-state trip he completely updated my entire computer system. When I returned he personally drove over to my house and over a 2+ hour service call, Linn connected the new hard drive, keyboard, and mouse to my existing router and 2 printers; plus he walked me through step-by-step all the changes he made. Awesome!!! I assumed we were going to need to buy a new desk top, and was very concerned with my daughters laptop. I found Kyles on line and figured I had nothing to lose with free diagnosis. Linn picked up our computers on Monday and returned them on Wednesday when he said he would and spent 1 1/2 hours at our home. Both computers run better than ever and the laptop actually looks new again as he cleaned it up. Linn Wilson at Kyle's computer repair is honest, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure your a happy customer. My first interaction with Linn was regarding a hardware issue. Even though Linn doesn't really work specifically with hardware issues anymore he spent a good chunk of time talking with me about the issue and my options. He even referred me to another locally owned business in Temecula. Not once did I feel like I was being rushed off the phone or that my questions were redundant. Computer was acting S L O W - took minutes to open even single folders. Had already loaded Windows again, defragged, malware swiped and closed most start-up programs - no luck. Then came the perpetual spinning circle during start-up. Called up Kyle's Computer Repair after reading ten 5 star ratings - way more than most in the area. Wow, was I glad that I did. Hard drive was crashing. Linn was able to connect it to another OS (not Windows) and save all my data which meant hours in my case and had it all completed in 48 hours! Grand total? $155. He put in a brand new HD, re-loaded all the programs, personal data, IE favorites, and even gave me a text file with all of the important "keys" to the programs in case they ever need to be reloaded again later (something I always seem to lose). In addition, he was extremely easy to talk to and discussed the computer actions (or inactions) at a level that I could understand. All in all the best computer repair experience I've had. You cannot go wrong in making this call. I originally found Linn/Kyles Computer Repair, on Yelp for my sister, who lives in Murrieta. Linn fixed her "almost dead" computer, and she was thrilled with him. Then it came time for one of my home PCs to need help. I live in Orange County, but was not comfortable with the repair options in my area. I am very cautious about who I hand over my private PC to. After my sister's experience with Linn, I knew he was my go-to person, too, and I didn't hesitate to make the drive to Murrieta! Linn repaired my system, and it works like a charm. Just recently, I had a second PC that went totally dark, and I couldn't bring up the main page (desktop) to even try to use it. Once again, Linn to the rescue. He is a true pro, and such a decent, honest guy. He takes all the time you need to help you understand the problem, and what repairs need to be made.
