I have so many complaints it's hard to know where to start. Read to the end and I'll tell you where to go instead. I've been in this shop three times. Each visit, the staff, including the owner, acted as if helping customers was an inconvenience. Just not welcoming or friendly. I've heard the same canned sales pitch every time: "These look great, they're our most popular, they sell out quickly. Jody, order some more." Then Jody replies, "I tried, we can't get them." It doesn't sound pushy until you've heard it over and over , then it absolutely is. First visit: I stopped in to look around. No greeting. No offer of assistance. Nothing. Second visit: I came to buy. I have a difficult right foot, and the owner seemed visibly frustrated. He said we needed to go up a size. I told him they were slipping and too big. He gave me a heel pad and said, "That's as good as it's going to get with your foot," and insisted they were fine. He also sold me an orthotic insert I later found on the manufacturer's site for half the price. The heel pads peeled off the moment I put my foot in the shoe. When I returned them, Jody actually wrote on the credit slip: "Too Big???", question marks included. Completely unprofessional. Third visit: I went back to use my credit. Same cold vibe, no greeting, no offer to help. When I asked for a shoe in my size, Jody said, "I don't think we have them," then came back empty-handed. I asked for a different color -- she got it but clearly wasn't thrilled. I tried another style that apparently ran small, and instead of offering to grab a larger size, she said, "Yes, they run small," and stood there. I had to ask for a larger size. To top it off, she and the owner (they are a couple) were arguing in the back room -- loud enough for everyone to hear. Then when another customer who had just purchased a pair of shoes politely said she'd just like to look around, they flatly told her, "No, we're closed." Not "sorry, we're closing up" or "please come back tomorrow." Just no. Now that I've finally used my store credit, I'll never go back. If you want real service -- friendly, patient, and professional -- go to the other store in Surpise on Grand Ave. The owner there runs several successful stores, and the staff actually want to help you. I wish I could give negative stars. this business is such a scam. Went there and bought orthotics and didn't notice they were $150 and she charged a credit card fee. I looked up the same insoles online and they cost $64. Her and her partner refused to refund me even though it was within a few hours of buying them. Needless to say I will not be returning and really do like to support local business but not this one. Horrible experience. Expensive lesson. read more

Great selection of shoes. But with that very underhanded. I understand that want to upsell you but at least be honest about it. I tried on some tennis shoes and she pushed medical grade insoles. I asked how much. The pair didn't work so she brought out a different pair. Failed to mention they were double the price of the first pair. She rung me up. She does not tell you what the total is. You have to ask. She ring me up. I asked how much? I should have asked before she rung me up. I almost fell over because I dint realize the insoles were over $100. Went recently, thinking I would be better about asking prices. She rung me up but didn't mention there is a 4% charge for using your credit card. I think she should have mentioned that to me. I had enough cash. I don't think Jodi is very honest. Her customer service is lacking. It's too bad as they have a nice selection of shoes. They have a no refund policy, only store credit. Horrible policies and high pressure sales. They will say anything to get a sell. Steer clear. They measured my feet then didn't have my size in the shoes I wanted. The lady then told me that the shoes ran small so tried to talk me into a larger pair that clearly didn't fit. read more

Huge selection of comfort styles. Well priced for the brands. Found out they have a store in Lake Havasu as well. Very friendly staff.

I purchased a pair of Mephisto shoes and after leaving within the first hour I found the shoes were 60.00 dollars less at other stores that carry Mephisto shoes. I returned within a two hour period. They took the shoes .back but would not credit my account, they would allow me to use a store credit for the amount I had payed. That credit had to be used within 60 days or I would be out the shoes and the money. I told the clerk that that was unacceptable, I would not be buying shoes that soon. I was only buying the shoes because I liked that particular pair. She laughed at me and said to bad. That certainly is not great customer service. Monday I went to Kyle's shoes. I overheard a conversation the owner was having with this young lady. Seemed like an interview. He told her loud enough for me & the other woman in there . " we only hire winners in here not losers & that's what you are ". You could see the girl maintain her composure. When I went outside I saw her crying in the car. As a mother. That was beyond heartbreaking to hear & see. I was filled with disbelief & outrage. I will NEVER GO BACK !!! You don't talk to people in that manner. On March 15, 2022 I bought 1 pair of Vionic sandals and they had to order the 2nd pair I paid for both pairs. As of April 29th I still do not have the pair that was ordered and paid for. I called she pulled out the paperwork and stated they had ordered and m" Vionic is just slow". NOT TRUE. The pair I ordered is no longer available. I drove to store and picked out another pair of Vionic shoes. NOT IN STOCK again. I then asked for a refund for the ones I had paid for and have not received. She asked "do I have the order sheet". I said no but you do because you looked it up this morning. She refused to offer the refund even though they have the paperwork. NEW OWNERS!!!! I have shopped the store for 10 years. I wish I had read these reviews before I went to this store. I must say that the owner (I think) was helpful in fitting me with shoes for my particular foot needs. But when he told me the price for the additional insole orthothotics, ($150.00) I was surprised, but he said they were medical grade so I paid. I then wanted to get an additional pair of the same orthotics for my other shoes so searched on Amazon and to my surprise, I found the exact pair for $40.00 - and this is sold by the company that makes them. I visited Kyle Shoes in Sun City West, AZ before taking a vacation. I was looking for comfortable walking shoes. I did find a pair but when trying them on the clerk (sorry, I've forgotten her name but will always recall her face) went to the counter, selected a pair of inserts, came back to me and took the original shoe inserts out replacing them with the ones she'd selected. I tried on several pair of shoes and for each pair she took out the original inserts and replaced them with the ones she'd selected. Little did I know this is their way of having you purchase their insoles of a much higher price. I left the store with shoes and insoles but returned the next day and asked to return the insoles as I was fine with the original ones. Surprise! Insoles CANNOT be returned!! My experience occurred in late February, 2023. I can't say how long this store has been running this "scam" as I was told by the clerk that the store had recently been taken over by new owners who also owned one or two other stores in the area. The price of the shoes is not the issue but the way they upsell the insoles is a problem for me. Let the customer know the price of the insoles and the fact that they are not able to be returned to their stock once they are inserted into the shoe that's being tried on! I would love to continue shopping in this store but I'm soured by my first time buying experience there. read more

I wanted to find a pair of good quality shoes for a vacation where walking is a big part. They have the best brands and a decent selection. I have significant foot issues. I did find a pair if sneakers. I have to take them home and test them out to get a good feel if they're going to hurt. I bit the bullet and spent over $200.00. The next morning my right foot was killing me. I brought them back and as the gal was writing it up I noticed the sign. No returns. Exchange or store credit only. Nobody mentioned that yesterday. So now they have the shoes and my money. Technically, the sign is wrong. NO REFUNDS. I have 60 days to find something else. read more

I bought a pair of tennis shoes for 169.00. I returned to the store after they gave me a blister. I exchanged them for a pair that was 189.00. So neither were cheap shoes. I also bought a pair of orthotics when I bought the first pair which I knew was not returnable. Those cost 109.00. The second pair were not comfortable after wearing around the house for several days so went back to the store. only to find out you can only exchange shoes one time and then it's a final sale. The sign at the counter only states no credit given back, only credits. It does not say "only one exchange". I have boughten shoes there over the years but this is the last time I will spend money at this store. So beware! read more

Unfortunately my friend's referral to Kyle's Shoes was not warranted. While shopping for sandals I found the selection to be a lot less than I expected, and the cost for what they had to be overpriced. When I inquired if there might be any stock that was less expensive I was icily informed that, "You might want to check Payless." I did. And they were a lot friendlier. read more

When you walk into Kyle Shoes, it is different than any other shoe store. The actual owners are usually there first of all, secondly the employees help you find shoes, try them on, and everything!
