Went out to Kyoto for sushi. Been here e few time. This visit was exceptionally good. Everything was super fresh and hot and exactly how you want to be. The server was friendly as always and I love watching the little robot come bring out your food! Even when it's busy, the booths give you a nice secludedness to enjoy your food. My favorite was the Little wings. And I love tempura shrimp so lots of rolls!!

My favorite place for delicious all you can eat sushi at an affordable price point! The menu is large and offers up something for everyone. They have a lunch and dinner all you can eat special that includes appetizers, rice, udon noodles, teppanyaki, nigiri, maki rolls, temaki, ice cream etc. Even if you are not a fan of sushi you will be able to enjoy a meal with the people in your group that do! Don't let the Har Mar Strip mall shop fool you from the outside! The staff is super friendly and the robot servers that help out are so fun! Pro tip: go with a group so you can try everything on the menu!

Service is worth 5 stars! Our server was charismatic and attentive. We had the AYCE menu, and their salmon and escolar (white tuna) tasted the best out of all the nigiri options. Miso soup, shrimp tempura, dynamite roll, and eel roll stood out to me. Wish they had sashimi options for AYCE, but overall, it's an alright sushi place.

Came here on a Saturday for my birthday dinner and had such a great experience! The waitstaff was super friendly and attentive, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I honestly don't get the bad reviews because we loved it. The robot that delivers food was such a fun touch! The only thing I'll mention is that the menu was a little confusing. It says "all you can eat," but we were charged full price for our pork cutlets, rice bowl, and ice cream--so it seems like the all-you-can-eat part is just for sushi. Other than that, everything was fantastic and I'd definitely come back.

Good price for all you can eat. The sashimi pieces were inconsistent though. One was still frozen but for the prices it's hard to beat.

Nice restaurant, good sushi - located inside a dumpy mall - 4 stars. THE MALL: This was my latest adventure with a Kyoto location, one that I've never visited before. The first thing I noticed is the mall itself is pretty crappy. The restaurant is on the north end of the mall, inside the mall itself. The very first thing I saw (when I pulled into the lot), was a police vehicle loading an arrested suspect into the squad car. The next thing I noticed was the sad state of the exterior...cigarette butts all over the place in puddles, exterior siding in disrepair, and a dirty greasy utility door with 2 people smoking cigarettes by the restaurant entrance. Yuck, yuck, yuck! FOOD: The food was exactly what I expected - good. I know Kyoto is a chain but I think they usually do a good job. I ordered 3 sushi rolls and they were good, bursting with flavor and arriving with a beautiful presentation. SERVICE: As usual, the service was impeccable. My server was completely on top of everything, attentive, and friendly. CLEANLINESS: The restaurant seems to be clean. I checked out the restroom and everything was good there...no nasty surprises. The décor is nice too. I couldn't help but day dream and wonder what this space used to be in past decades. It's huge with super high ceilings and a weird geometric block wall behind the bar that looks like it used to be an old bowling alley wall or something from the 60s. Pretty cool. PRICES: The prices seem to be reasonable and in-line with similar sushi joints in the Twin Cities. LOW CARBOHYDRATE: It's easy to eat low-carb, keto, carnivore style at Kyoto. I avoid big piles of rice, huge noodle portions, added sugar, and anything that might be concealing crappy "vegetable seed oils". I might have gotten some in the yum yum sauce and the spicy tuna roll but I think it was pretty minimal...I hope. Of course, you can get a few animal based hot "kitchen" appetizers and also a couple of the soups. I'd go back again any time. Thumbs up. - Maxx

Kyoto Sushi in Roseville offers a solid sushi experience, but nothing that stands out as extraordinary. The sushi is fresh, and the variety on the menu is decent, though some rolls feel a bit basic in terms of flavor. If you're looking for standard options like California rolls or spicy tuna, they do the job well enough, if you want something of their best quality I would recommend the tempura shrimp and some of their special rolls. What really elevates the experience is the service. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making sure you're well taken care of throughout the meal. It's a pleasant dining atmosphere, with a lot of noise and very busy. We had to wait about half an hour before we could get seated. Definitely plan ahead and be sure to bring extra room for dessert!

Amazing sushi! You won't be disappointed!! Trust me.

All you can eat sushi is a good deal to me especially when it tastes good. Servers are really fast with the service. The low light gives off great vibes. Perfect place for a sushi date.

It's apart of the…read morestrip mall full of many choices like Home Goods, Elite Nails, Anytime Fitness, Johns Tailors and so much more. On the bus line, and near the locals "shopping center" we found this option by googling "buffets near me." We walked in to a woman sitting on her phone, we weren't greeted but she said "how many" as if she was annoyed, and continued to stay on her phone. My father stated "2" and she stood up, quoted the price of around $25 and tossed the table "reservation" sign at us (it mentions not to waste and to ask for help if needed) Now that we've been standing here for about two minutes, she still hasn't made eye contact with us. I chuckled in frustration and walked away, because I absolutely HATE terrible customer service. At this moment she looks up with slight concern on her face, because- excuse my French- she knew she had us f***** up. If it were up to me, we would have turned around and left but I was with my father and I bit my tongue. They didn't deserve our support. The way she carelessly tossed the sign across the less than 12 inch counter replays in my mind, and I think of a multitude of ways I could karate chop her in her throat (not really, but a girl can dream.. right?) We seated ourselves in the last booth near the restrooms, which was perfect because I was disgusted at the sight of the cashier. The young lady who cleaned our tables did a great job at smiling and being prompt. Kudos to her, she's the best. My dad and I had a really great time, trying new things and suggesting things to one another. The food was OK. I loved the clams and they have a good selection for anyone on a pescatarian diet, like myself. For the first time in a long time, I treated myself to a little desert to sweeten up the sour experience I had walking in. Ice cream with sprinkles will bring the kid out in you. If you read any of my reviews, very rarely do I have this disposition. I really want to make sure you understand how unkind our initial interaction was and how displeased I was that we stayed after being treated in such a manner. However, I can not deny that I was pleased with the menu, and finding some foods that cater to my diet. (Not many, but some) Would I go again? Maybe I'd give them another shot. I enjoyed spending time with my dad, the meatless options they had, and how the entire restaurant is self serve. 1 Star for location, 1 Star for food and 1 Star for the waitress who gathered our plates.

The person who checked us in was unfortunately not. She gave us the feeling that we were bothering her by bringing our business to her. Stopped by China Express for dinner last week with some friends on a weeknight. The place was empty…read moreso we were seated immediately. The place is definitely focused on takeout. We were there for a while eating and hanging out, and while no other diners came in to sit down, many came in to pick up phone orders and other takeout orders. The staff were very friendly and attentive, frequently coming around to refill waters and check if we were ready to order. It was nice to sit inside, but the atmosphere is very much a takeout restaurant vibe. The menu is quite large with a lot of Asian-American classics and some more authentic dishes as well. I decided to get the wonton soup to start and a sesame chicken combo plate for my main. The wonton soup was my favorite part of the meal, the wontons were good and the soup broth was similar to what I grew up eating at my local Chinese restaurant. I know sesame chicken is an American invented dish, but I really have a soft spot for it. The sesame chicken was very mediocre for me, unfortunately not crispy, super thick breading, and a little unusual sauce. The fried rice it came with was also just okay, lacking a bit of flavor. The egg roll was massive and it was pretty good. Overall, the prices are good and portion sizes are large, but the flavor is missing a bit. While I wouldn't seek out China Express again, I would certainly still eat it again.
