The curry is lite and decent. The pork is tough and over cooked. Beef ramen - the person who cooked the steak has never cooked steak before. It was hard tough and way over cooked. So we had to kill some time driving around. Once in, we got into the big, round booth that I loved from my first time here. This time, I ordered the Honeycomb Appetizer Special...and I loved every little thing in it! My husband tried this Rice Burger. I tried to coax him into trying the Eel Rice Burger, but he opted for Chicken Rice Burger...and he wasn't too into it. We also shared Edamame...and this amazing Matcha Pudding...possibly THE reason I keep coming back here?? It's just so perfectly light and tasty! I've been here a couple of times and it is rare that they don't miss on something. Last time I went, they didn't give me a whole appetizer that I've ordered. Only gave grace because it was so busy. Today, my girlfriend and I ordered 4 appetizers, a drink, ramen, and an entree. Service was bare minimum, I go there for the food, not for the hospitality. Once it's time to pay, I didn't double look at the check, because it's not asking for a lot for servers to charge their customers correctly. Paid, and tipped over 20% in cash. Just for them to come back over and tell us that they charged us for the wrong tab. Said they already did the refund and we should expect it back on the card in 3-5 business days. Accidentally charged $68, our actual bill was about $10 more. It's Saturday....so I won't be getting that money back till who knows when the next week. Upset because all we got was an, "I'm sorry." Which doesn't do anything for me. What if I couldn't afford a double charge? Some people do spend the last of their money on food and going out. The little accountability, empathy, or even understanding was frustrating. A sincere apology is appreciated, but good customer service also means acknowledging the inconvenience caused and taking steps to resolve it beyond the bare minimum. We didn't get that. Don't get fried oysters, tasted like they came frozen and almost spit it out. Also do not get the beef on skewers, bad cut and couldn't even chew the meat so I had to spit out. read more

All the Halloween decorations are long gone and I missed the Christmas and New Years decorations, but the place still has that fun and interesting ambiance with the wishing tree. Always cool to see it decked out with all kinds of messages and drawings from customers! Loving the curry tonkatsu ramen. The tonkatsu is served on the side and is very crispy while still being deliciously juicy inside. The negima (chicken thigh & scallion) skewers did NOT disappoint- as usual! So flavorful. I went with amounts of the sauerkraut peppers as a bit of extra topping to the skewers which was nice. I also used a bit of shichimi togarashi on some of it. Delish! The curry ramen was so rich and creamy and curry-y. The extra noodles did to w trick to help me take out the whole bowl. I DEVOURED this meal. Good job chef! KYURAMEN is such a cool spot. My husband and I went here on New Year's Day and had a good time. We ordered a bunch of food to share--Yinyang Bowl, Classic Omurice, Shrimp Tempura, Purple Sweet Potato Fries, and Japanese Fried Oyster. I also got a Thai Iced Tea. The food was amazing. The ramen was definitely my favorite, but honestly, everything we tried was so good. My drink was delicious too. The place looks really nice, bright and filled with all wooden decors, it's nice that you can leave a little note and put it on the tree. The food overall was great, i even got a free dessert bowl (really good tactic). Our server was nice, giving us recommendations and whatnot. Went in for dinner during the week and was promptly seated, the space was well taken care of and there were a lot of tables to choose from. We opted for one of the trendy honeycomb booths which I thought was a cute, intimate space to dine in! I also loved the 'call' button that you were able to utilize if you needed a waiter. I decided to get the pork tonkatsu omurice. I've seen omurice before, but never got it so I was so excited and it did NOT disappoint. Starting from the tableside presentation, it was more than I could ask for. Thoroughly enjoyed. As for the sauce I got the traditional Demi glacé which reminded me of an egg foo young gravy. The soft egg, with the sauce, with the hearty fried rice was really yummy. The only thing I'd do differently next time is skip the pork tonkatsu. It honestly did nothing for me. AND just know the portion is HUGE so be ready for leftovers. The Thai iced tea personally wasn't my cup of tea, no pun intended. But my friend enjoyed her mango lemonade though she said it was extremely sweet. She also liked her ramen. The only thing I didn't like is that they offer a combo that would be more cost effective, but I wish they would have offered that option before we ordered our drinks and they mentioned her drink wasn't eligible for the combo. first off, i just wanna reiterate that i absolutely love this place. the first time i came here a couple years ago was such a memorable experience and the food was amazing. this time i tried new things i hadn't before and that's where i think i made a mistake. the matcha latte is delicious, the pork bao is always a winner, and the lobster and chashu salad balls were as well, but what i'd hoped would be the star of the show turned out to be the least flavorful item of the meal. i had such high hopes for the soft shell crab rice burger but the only thing i could taste on this was the cucumber under the crab and the sauce they threw on top of it. the rice was ok too, pretty bland and i'd hoped it would be crispier, but that crab may has well have not even been on the burger at all. at the time, instead of setting it to the side, i just decided to eat it and take the loss and remember to not order it again. but ever since lunch my stomach has been cramping something awful. i haven't had the appetite to eat anything at all the rest of the day due to this pain. i'm hoping it wasn't the crab itself but i truthfully can't imagine what else it could've been. as always though the service and restaurant itself were super friendly and clean. i'll come back but i definitely won't order the soft shell crab again. read more

We have been to the Suwanee location but this one is better. I think it is because it just open, it is more chill and relaxing- perfect to enjoy a bowl of ramen on a rainy gloomy day. I like how they promote their ramen by telling us to finish it all to see the sticker at the bottom for a prize. We didn't win but it was fun to compete who finish first. I forgot the name of the ramens but both are oishii- creamy savory broth, soft boiled eggs, tender melting pork, sweetness corn, and salty from bonito flake. All balance out. Second and last time. Chicken ramen was awful. Again. Bland broth with bad aftertaste. Bamboo shoots tasted like nasty can water. Chicken tasted bad and was gristly. Big chunk of cartilage. Our waiter was baked more than a casserole and just kind of unpleasant. Like we annoyed him by coming in and he was doing us a favor. So not only was he not nice to deal with, the whole time he was screwing things up. Tried upselling again after we said no thank you the first time, but got confused half way through and remembered he'd already tried and just stopped trying mid sentence. Blatantly forgot to put in our order then 15 minutes later, tried lying about it, "I don't know what happened to it." As in, our order just disappeared or something. You forgot. It happens. Just apologize and move on. And yes people know you're lying when your very next question is: ( ° _°) "Uhh.. did you.. did you order already?" Yes, from you, Cheech. The restaurant is empty and WE'RE YOUR ONLY TABLE DUDE. How are you seriously this stoned? We came in an hr+ before closing and didn't get our food until 15 mins before closing. WHILE HANDING US THE FOOD, asks, "How is everything?" Like he was checking on a table that already had their food. I'm like, "With what? You're literally handing us our food right now." Like did he want me to tell him what I thought of the decor? I literally think he was so high, he actually lost track of what stage we were at. Then of course never checked on us once. I guess he thought checking on a table preemptively counted? And probably because of how awkward it was getting by that point, or maybe he had the munchies and was raiding the fridge, he sent the waitress to give us the bill instead. My date won a free drink. Waitress asks which one we want, then when my date answers, the waitress says, "Oh actually, you can't have it this visit." So I'm like, "Okay, do we get like a coupon or something?" And she acts confused and asks, "Oh you want a coupon?" Yes? How else are we supposed to redeem the free drink next time? Also, all we remembered from our first visit was how nasty the water was. i had the absolute worst experience ive ever had in a restaurant here tonight! called days ago for a reservation for my daughter's birthday. i wasnt given the policy information on that call so when i called to push the time back the person on the phone told me that whoever took my reservation mustve been new because they dont make reservations under 8 ppl and that they cant promise me a spot. after speaking with the manager she acknowledged the mistake and made sure we had the table we wanted. upon arrival and after being seated i had to hit the call button 5x to get our order taken or get a cup of water! i gave the waiter our cupcakes to bring out after dinner with the candles. after dinner i asked for boxes the receipt and the cupcakes. after just getting boxes i asked when he was bringing the cupcakes and his response was "did you want me to bring them while you were still eating?" taken back from such a rude response i told him to come back in 5 mins so we could box up the food, which in any normal establishment he would let us box the food and take the plates before leaving if they knew we wanted fo being out desert for a celebration but i digress. after almost 15 mins he comes and gets the plates then another 15 he brings the cupcakes, plates and hands me the candles i gave him to put on the cupcakes and light to bring to the table! i ask him why didnt he light them and his response was "do you need a lighter?" i told him to have the manager bring the lighter. the manager came i told her how dissatisfied i was she apologized i told her that only because my daughter still wanted to sing happy with her friends that we would light the candles but to bring my check. she said she would talk with her staff and fix the problem but never came back! i went and sat by the front door and waited for her to come back since she left our table for 30 mins ( which anyone else wouldve left!) after employees walked by several times someone finally asked me if i needed to pay and i asked for the manager again!!! she came and looked like she didnt know why i was asking for her. when i asked if the owner or other superior staff was present she said she couldnt give out the owner's personal info and her and the waitress started to laugh in my face! i will never patronize this establishment ever and will tell everyone not to visit this place. ruined mu daughter's birthday and i definitely felt discrimination from the beginning which is why our waiter was so rude! im demanding to here from the owner before i call my friends from the city to report them! the manager was ede & the girl who laughed in my face name was grace i never got our waiters name because he never came back to check on us! shame on you kyuramen duluth!!! read more

We've been waiting for this place to open ever since we moved here, and it was definitely worth the wait! The food was so good, and the two person combo is worth the price. We'll be returning to try other ramen flavors, and maybe a rice burger!
