He is very much a chocolate conosoir and pretty much any type of chocolate candy would make him happy. I thought about getting the chocolate covered pecans because I know that he purchased those about a month ago and was eating them like they were nothing. They simply weigh those and would serve them in a plastic bag. Instead of that, I decided on an expensive chocolate assortment that came in a beautiful box. That seemed more like a gift than just chocolates in a plastic bag. The person behind the counter was very nice and kind of explained about the various types of chocolates that were included in the assortment. I am looking forward to a special birthday night with him.

Eh, I found this place to be just okay…read more The inside is small with some neon lights. Late on a Saturday night, there's a mix of regular folks, parents with small children getting a weekend treat, and folks with the munchies who just *have* to have a cookie. Biggest complaint - there are several TV screens, but only one has pricing, one has drinks, and the other was just random shots of stuff they sometimes have. I wish one of them had "current cookie offerings" (it rotates) because otherwise, you have to wait until you get to the front of the line to see what there is, and then people are waiting for you to make up your mind. It just added pressure to what is supposed to be an enjoyable cookie experience. It's not a cheap place (it's a bougie dessert place in NoVa; what do you expect?), but the monster cookies are large and filling and easy to share. We got a half dozen for our family of 5 and that was plenty. We even got an Oat Milk brown sugar tea - it was fine. The whole place is vegan, which does add to the price point, but if that matters to you, this is a good place to get your cookie on. That said, I don't know if it was the lack of egg, or that the Monsters were under-baked, but I found those large cookies just heavy. The two I will vouch for were the chocolate chip (classic, can't beat it), and the cinnamon roll - I kept coming back to that one. The rest were pretty meh. Service was okay. We had to wait for the next batch of chocolate chip cookies to come out of the oven. I get it, though it took longer than estimated. The weird part was, in the whole time we were sitting waiting (and everyone else had ordered), the clerk handed me my half dozen box and I had to remind her of our drink. Sweet, but spacey. In the end, if you like fancy cookies and/or vegan sweet treats, you might want to give this place a try. Otherwise, you can get plenty of other desserts along King Street.

It's tiny and you'll find Swedish candy along with other gummies from mostly all across Europe. I like the little cards that explain where the candy is front. It's mostly fresh and while there are some flavors not so much to my taste, it is all interesting to try. The shop feels a little run down despite it being new. Not a flashy, clean lines looking place. But overall, if you're looking for a little sugar rush, it fits the bill. The prices are more than your typical candy shop, but it's fun that you get to mix and try different flavors. I will say though, if you want a grander experience with a lot more variety, walk about another 10 minutes to Nuts Factory where they have nuts along with a massive supply of gummies by the bin.

Super fine chocolate creations are all that they sell. I opted for 4 pieces of the salted caramel bites which was plenty of chocolate calories for one day! They have so many different types of chocolates that it was hard to remember the names, much less which ones I would like the best. Each piece was around $3.79 and I believe an entire box of those caramels would set you back by about $70. Don't quote me on that. There were a lot of workers here to help out the customers. Unfortunately, the ice cream itself did not meet my expectations. I tried one scoop of the Butter Pecan-style flavor and one scoop of the Green Mint Chip. The consistency seemed somewhat watered down, and the ice cream melted very quickly, as I was standing in line waiting to pay which affected the overall experience. While the customer service was excellent, I wasn't particularly impressed with the ice cream and don't feel compelled to return to try additional flavors. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this establishment. Also, one more thing I don't recall her name because I didn't care too much for her bad attitude and the way she was trying to rush me through the process, but somebody else gave me bad service before Tiffany stepped in to regain a customer.
