Taste of my childhood This hot chocolate is unbelievably rich and velvety, truly like drinking perfectly melted chocolate. Every sip feels warm, nostalgic, and indulgent. Absolutely loved it.

(Oops posting this very late, was there like 10 months ago.) Still as good as I remember it 25 years ago! Chocolates are decadent and rich in flavor. Of course had to get the little mice chocolates. It was a hot day so I got an iced tea and an adorable little cake (see photo). I believe it was an earl grey cake. Great place to cool off while shopping at the Harvard yard. Love this place!!! It has changed so much (before it was a bigger restaurant/cafe) since I remembered it but still as lovely.

Shared a large hot shaved milk chocolate on a perfect 65 degree night. Excellent service & lively ambiance packed house. I rate 4.5 stars.

Stopped by for some Thanksgiving chocolate shaped like a turkey. I can't show up for Thanksgiving empty handed. The place has a register up front where they sell chocolate. Then there is a seating area and up back there is a bakery where they sell chocolate pastry, coffee and hot chocolate. I had heard so much about it. I tried the hot chocolate. 8.00 for about 12 ounces. It was super rich and had a heavy chocolate taste. Rather small for the price. I would return. I would like to take a closer look at the pastry. Remember to bring your wallet.

This is a nice chocolatier. They have variety of chocolate items from hot chocolate, pastries ,coffee assorted chocolates, and more. They are pricey, but the quality is good. I love the white chocolate hot chocolate and had to get some to take home. They have some limited seating if you're lucky you can snag a seat. They have street parking. When you come the winter there may be a line. Do not be discouraged and be prepared because it's so cold out there! Hope you enjoy.

The drinking chocolate, pastries, and chocolates are delightful. The decor is very cute - the fairy lights from the ceiling make it very cozy. Counter service for drinks and treats was quick and friendly.

So, I recently made it to L.A. Burdick Chocolates for the first time. I was really in the mood for some good hot chocolate, and this place popped up in my search. The vibe inside was super cozy perfect for the rainy day we had yesterday, and it was pretty packed, so I was grateful to snag a seat. Since it was my first time there, I was checking out the menu for something familiar, and I tried to order a croissant, but they were already sold out - to be expected, they're super popular! The dark hot chocolate caught my eye right away, so I went for that. I also asked the guy taking my order, Ben, what he'd recommend since the croissant wasn't an option. He asked me a few questions and gave me some suggestions based on what I said. I ended up getting the Dark Hot Chocolate and a Raspberry Tart. My order came out to my table pretty quickly, and Ben even gave me this little sign to put on my table when I went to the restroom so no one would take it. Honestly, the attention to detail and the service were great, and I really liked the atmosphere. I'm definitely planning on going back to try everything else on the menu at least once.

Food: as a socal resident, I am more familiar with see's candies franchise, and this was my first time experiencing LA burdick chocolates. I stopped by this place while visiting harvard, and to grab some souvenirs. Got small boxes of chocolates and couple bags of hot cocoa for my family and friends, but none of them were really... uh exceptional. Just tasted like regular chocolate that I can get from CVS or rite aid for much cheaper pricing, pretty disappointing, but at least the packaging looked classy and nice Price: very expensive, $30 for a bag of hot chocolate, other small boxes were at least $25, not worth this price tag in my opinion Ambiance: cozy and warm vibes with tables and seating area like a cafe, good place to come with friends in casual setting or for first time coffee/dessert dates Service: the cashier seemed nice and no issues with ordering Parking: located at the edge of the harvard square, I took uber here so not sure about the parking situation, it seemed like street parking was limited, did not see any big public parking structures around

While shopping around Harvard Square, I wanted to stop by LA Burdick to see if I could find some gifts for Valentine's & also try their hot chocolate for the first time! I really enjoyed walking in their storefront & seeing the interior! It looked so nice with the string lights and the wau their organized their items. I ended up purchasing their dark chocolate set & lunar new year set. Packaging is super nice and make great gifts for any occasion! After you past the merchandise portion of the store, the cafe and seats are in the back of the store. I ordered a hot chocolate using milk chocolate and it was great for a cold day! I really enjoyed the base as it was sweet even though I probably will order it with dark chocolate next time as that's what I gravitate towards. Overall, a must visit if you're around the area!

A quaint cafe and chocolate store located in Harvard Square, a short walk from the Harvard campus. I loved the interior string lights and decor. They carry assorted chocolates, including their famous mouse-shaped chocolates. They're famous for their hot chocolates and they also carry assorted cakes, pastries, and baked goods. There was a huge wave of people when I visited on a Sunday afternoon and every table was full. I waited a few minutes in line and ordered a small Burdick Mocha with milk chocolate and oat milk. You can taste the rich chocolate and I really enjoyed it! I will mention that the items are more on the pricey side, but the treats are really worth trying!

L.A. Burdick does not have many seats, but it is a cute spot to enjoy rich hot chocolate alongside pastries when hanging out with others. You can order at the counter and the staff will bring your order to your table. I have ordered their signature milk hot chocolate, Mocha cake, and Chocolate Lemon cake. Their signature milk hot chocolate was slightly sweet and tasted rich. Both cakes tasted really good. The mocha cake was rich in chocolate with a hint of coffee without being too overpowering. It was moist, but the cream was a bit dense for me. The chocolate lemon cake was great. The lemon flavor was prominent in every bite without being overwhelming. The dark chocolate layer on top was solid but not too sweet, complementing the lemon flavor. I have also tried the Burdick cookie in the past which was delicious with a perfect ratio of chocolate and walnuts. I would come here again when I want to treat myself to some chocolate.

L.A. Burdick's has the best hot chocolate I've ever had‼ I finally was able to come here for a date with my boyfriend and we both enjoyed the chocolatey flavors of their drinks and raspberry chocolate cake I'd say the milk hot chocolate satisfied my sweet tooth thoroughly but if you like your drinks not too sweet, I recommend trying it with dark chocolate instead! I definitely will come back to try more of their drinks selection, especially their romantic ceramic pots of tea you can order to your table and more of their pasteries! L.A. Burdick is also currently selling a Lunar New Year chocolate box including flavors red bean, black sesame, gochujang, and their cutest signature chocolate mouse It's a sweet gift, if you're looking for something for your chocolate-lover this Valentine's Day!

A "must visit" stop, we were told, so we made sure to pop in while strolling the Harvard area. We treated ourselves to a slice of cake from the case and some chocolate covered cashews (and a restroom break). Coffee also available. If you are looking a sweet and absolutely adorable thought-of-you-when-I-was-in-Boston gift, pick up some of tiny handcrafted chocolate mice. They come pre-boxed and festooned with ribbon.

Usually I take goods home w me but today wanted to order a gift for out of state delivery. Presume the quality of the gift will be nice as usual but the staff member acted as if she had better things to do. (It was not busy at the shop, only one other customer who was being taken care of), almost asked her if she was okay, came close to walking away without completing the order. Clearly, she dislikes her job and isn't interested in customer service. It's a bad look for Fastachi. We all have bad days but this person had a serious disregard for doing her job. Makes one hesitate to return.

Now they have canceled that option ...no phone calls accepted/returned new policy! I made 5-6 efforts yesterday to place an order and the computer program just will not accept the information and keeps stating that I need "To follow the format,..." which I thought I was doing. I wrote to their website/email and no response. I would just forget Fastachi totally at this point, never attempt to order again, however I had discussed some options with a client who chose to receive treats from them. I don't understand why I cannot simply order online and have it go through. It has never been a possibility for me over perhaps five years trying yo order online. Never had such a problem with other vendors! They even identify on the website the l item I want, which is a variety of chocolate bark as requested by my client. But, when I double click on it, I get all the chocolate treats and I cannot find the bark. I'm very very disappointed and not sure how I will handle this. Such inconvenience and lack of customer support. They apparently have expanded their services to other stores and have what looks like a large corporate clientele. I cannot understand why they no longer accept phone calls when their system to place orders just does not work! I would love help with this particularly for this one situation and then I wouldn't bother them again and not purchase their wonderful treats as gifts. To me this seems like a very poor resolution of a problem that should not exist in 2025 with current communication possibilities via computers. I'm very upset and disappointed. Marcia Tritter

The chocolate lava cake takes around 15 min to make. The size is similar to the lava cakes you see at somewhere like chilis. I honestly thought it was pretty similar to a cake at chilis besides it being less sweet. The ice cream we chose was salted honey (I think, can't remember exactly besides it being salty). The ice cream paired very well with the cake, but it came in such a tiny cup. It was the size of the cups you get at the dentist to rinse. Actually, it might be even smaller than that. The cookie was a standard chocolate chip cookie. Nothing to run to, so I don't think it was worth the $6. Just warm up a Market Basket cookie and you'd have the same effect.
