Go here!! Got a small mint chocolate chip ice cream and loved it. Took it for a walk right down to the esplanade and was wonderful. The staff here are really so sweet and made the ice cream that much better! The coffee notes carry throughout, but are a bit overwhelmed by whatever else they add to the drink. I liked that they also had cow-related products for sale, such as cow-shaped bowls and mugs. When visiting Boston we were told that JP Licks is a must go for ice cream and I'm so glad we went (twice!). They are also a coffeeshop but it seems like most of the clientele are there for the ice cream. They have a bunch of fun flavors that you don't see everywhere, so it's great to be able to branch out and try something new. They even have seasonal and rotational flavors that were all delicious as well. Great place to stop and eat, or you can take your ice cream to go. The special gingerbread ice cream this visit was exceptionally good. My pet peeve at all the JP licks locations is the sugar cone with the glued on paper wrapper... Nothing more annoying to peeling ofc pieces and the lady piece sticks to cone... now do I need to eat the cone with the paper glued to its won't peel off or dump cone after eating glued on paper area ? A Harvard Square establishment that has been around 30 years. It gets lots of touristy traffic here, so seating is hard to come by. While I always enjoy the fro-yo here, I would not be able to afford to be its frequent customer here. You are mostly paying for Cambridge's ridiculous real estate price. But they get enough traffic to stay open, which is good. Sometimes the line can get long, but you go through it fairly quickly. Study the menu before you jump in line.
