I have since stopped tanning, but when I did, I had a membership here. No complaints at all, never had to wait for a bed and the bulbs were always strong. I would go once or twice a week and kept my color a lot longer than when I tanned at other salons. Prices weren't bad either! I never had nail services but have heard good things from friends. Staff was pretty friendly, but there is always room for improvement when it comes to customer service. read more

WORST Customer Service. I arrived at 9:40 and no one was waiting for a spray tan. They said they cut off spray tans at 930 because they're usually busy, but even since no one was there, they wouldn't let me go since they wanted to go home early. I've had many great experiences with this location at LA Tan. The employees are really nice and make you feel like a regular and make the whole process easy and relaxing knowing I just want to get in and out. I switched to the Fahrenheit location a few months ago and thusfar have been very pleased with the results. The girls I've seen are very welcoming and knowledgeable about beds and products--I have not been steered wrong yet. The one time I had a question and the girl didn't know she called to find out information and even printed me a pamphlets to help explain everything better. They also have the cleanest versa spa and versa pro machines. The salon is very clean, when it isn't under construction (but that isn't the business's fault). The reviews on here really surprised me because even though its a really busy salon I love coming here. You really can't rate an entire business one star because the versa spa was out of order, or because you don't like an employee's physical appearance... read more

I'm from out of state and wanted to get a quick spray tan before a wedding I was attending. The girl at the front desk wasn't really friendly and seemed annoyed that I asked for a receipt. I only asked because someone else reviewed that they had problems with their credit card after going there. My $30 tan looks horrible!! Uneven, blotchy...One side looks tanner than the other! I'm surprised this place has such bad reviews. This location is always clean and the staff is very pleasant. I come pretty much bi-weekly to do either the $6 tans (used to be $5!) on Tuesday or a spray tan. The tans are good for any level bed which is a really good value if your skin can stand a higher level. There's two machines for the spray tan but personally, I like the original one the best. They also offer two formulas for the spray tan, bronze vs. clear, but I think the bronze gives you deeper and longer lasting results. If you sign up for the text club they'll send you good deals pretty often! read more

Horrible customer service...not sure why they hate clients so much

I have been going to LA Tan on and off for over 10 years, however after my first visit here I will never return to this location. The guy working Tuesday night (1/31/2017) was EXTREMELY rude. An entire panel of my stand up bed was burned out and when I informed him about this he told me it wasn't a big deal because there are lights surrounding my entire body. While this is true when the bed is working, this was not the case. I had to rotate several times while in the bed with the hopes that I was tanning evenly, and the bottom line is I paid for a working bed and that was not what I received. At the point of mentioning it I hadn't asked for a refund or even an apology, but what I did expect was respect and appreciation for informing him that the bed was not properly working. The answer "I can't do anything for you. You tan all around anyways.." shows a lack of consideration for customers and is a horrible representation of your company. read more

Staff is extremely rude. To the point where I don't even want to go in there each week. The spray tans also never seem to work even when I always make changes but when I get spray tans other places always seems to work and look great. I only go here because it's right next to my building but I would not recommend to anyone. Majority of staff is awful. read more

Pretty bummed. I frequent this place because it's in walking distance from my apartment and I've been getting sprays for years. I know that they shut down the machines 30 min before closing, I've seen the sign they post, and I've seen people get turned away, so I always try to be courteous and get there 45 min early so I'm not inconveniencing them or missing my chance. Today, being the day before the 4th, I called to make sure they still had regular hours to which they told me they would still be open until 10:00. So i walked up at 9:10, with nobody there or in line, only to be told they shut the machines down an hour early. They refused to let me spray (guys, it takes 5 minutes, come on). I worked at starbucks for years; I get wanting to shut everything down early but that's a risk- if someone comes in (50 minutes before you close no less) they should not be turned away for business because you wanted to get a jump start on cleaning the machines. Not cool, LA Tan. If you're open til 10, do us a favor and BE OPEN til 10. Thanks. Sincerely, just a ginger tryin not to look like a ghost poolside tomorrow. read more

i literally live a block up from this location and i am a fan! i go back and forth from the fullerton location depending on if im in the area. both are amazing. this location is probably $2 bucks more than the fullerton location. but oh well no biggie. the staff is always friendly and on top of everything. this location is clean and it doesnt have an over powering smell of tanning lotion here thank the tanning gods. read more

This is the cleanest tanning salon I have encountered since I started tanning 12 years ago. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Worst customer service ever! This location has terrible service. The short brown haired girl is rude and is always talking on her phone, she doesn't know the rules pertaining to deals and gift cards, ect. They all act snobby and are unhelpful. I won't be going back to this location any more. LA Tan is a great place to tan, I love their specials and the tan club. Great prices and great beds! They just need to up their game at this certain location. read more

Went at noon today and received some extremely unpleasant customer service from an unfriendly, aggressive blond lady. Asked if I had any tanning dollars in my balance and she answered and looked at me like I was ridiculous for not knowing my balance (that is accessible nowhere else but a salon). She gave me my total and handed me the receipt to sign and I went to my room. I am wearing tongs of layers as it was a record cold below zero day and had lotion to put on so it took a second, tanned for 8 minutes, and was in the middle of getting dressed when I got a knock on my door, which completely startled me because who does that at an otherwise completely empty tanning salon? She asked "Are you okay in there?" I know I sounded confused as all hell and said "Yes... I'm getting dressed...?" She said she was just checking.. on what? Literally no one else in there. Super unpleasant goodbye as I left too. Not happy with this location at all which is a shame because it's right by my apartment. read more

I would love to give this place zero stars but that is not an option. The staff is super rude and lazy to the point where I do not trust them to wipe down the beds, if they even do? The place is filthy and not all of the rooms have locks on the doors! What is up with that?? The tanning beds are OK but the atmosphere is a no go. This is the first and only location of LA Tan that I have visited and I love it. I have been tanning for over 6 years and this is one of the very few salons that I have visited that is always super clean even during the huge rush of people after work. The manager (Adam) is super nice and has always been very welcoming and knowledgeable. Will continue to tan here. read more

Let me first say that I have tanned at other LA Tans before and have had pleasant experiences. However, at this location I have had nothing but issues and poor customer service. When I moved to the area I went to tan at LA. The unfriendly staff told me I needed to sign up for a membership program, which I know is not the case. However, since I am new to the area and assumed this location was like other LA Tans i have been to, I did so anyway. When I went to my room the bed and room was dirty. I was moved to a different room. The location is extremely small. The staff is not polite. And the beds are awful, especially for the pricing program. After my experience I simply wanted to get out of my contract and explore other options as I knew this was not where I wanted to tan, event though it is within a few blocks from my apartment. I was told there is a cancellation fee, of course there is. Basically, my bill would come to about $70 for one tan! I was given the managers card to contact her for assistance. It has been 4 months. I am still being charged. I have emailed both the cooperate office and manager and left voice mails, yet no response. This is not the customer service I would expect from such a well known company. read more
