Went to tan this evening waited for about five minutes for someone to come to the front desk so I can purchase tanning sessions. I even yelled out hello and no one came to the front. Made a call out to the store explaining about my experience and their response was that they were "folding towels in the back." The way they communicated with me was a bit unprofessional. They have good beds, but their people skills and Customer Service needs improvement. read more

They have the new KBL tanning bed, which is a level six that gives you three different options of tanning. A basic level 6 tan, Mediterranean tan, and a Caribbean tan. I have been a customer for over 15 year and have been paying monthly for 4 years even though I only go once or twice a month. I went in March to freeze my account for summer and filled out paperwork. Went back 2 weeks ago and was told I couldn't tan and that I owed $100 even though I filled out the paperwork 5 months ago and was getting charged monthly. Because of the employee error that never put in my freeze, I was not able to tan and have to pay the $100. The employee had to call his boss and she basically told him oh well not her problem. I filled out the paperwork to cancel once again. The employee promised me his manager would call within 24 hours and it has been 2 weeks since then with no response whatsoever. I've called 3 times and left 2 emails and have been ignored. The young "manager" is always extremely rude and the least they could do it give me a call back with an explanation. Everyone go to Palm Beach Tan as they are 10,000 times better!! This place SUCKS!! read more

I have been living in Schaumburg for a few years and I am not a big tanner but I would sometimes go to another location, it was kind of small and not the newest looking space. I then saw this location and gave it a try. It was so clean and up to date. I have tried the versa spa I think it gave the best spray tan I have ever had and the price was great. I am now doing the red light therapy. I currently work in skin care so tanning is not big on my list but I had been looking into the red light and really wanted to give it a try. I have been going for a little over a month and I can already see my skin is more even and smoother. The girls there are so sweet and never are pushy. They will ask if I need any refills on product but then if i say no they let it go. read more

This is my favorite salon. The bulbs are nice, everything is clean, and the staff is friendly, professional, and never pushy. I like the set up of the many rooms in back, and the front of the salon is comfortable and super cute. Other salons in the area are sales vultures. Love this location! I don't like being pressured to buy the expensive lotions, which is never a problem with this staff. But they had a great promo going so I gave in. I literally am sitting in the parking lot 10 min before they close and as I walk up to the door they shut off the open sign. I cannot believe they wouldn't let me do a 2 min spray tan and I can't believe I even considered buying a monthly package and lotion. Quite possibly the best tanning experience I've had. From the minute you walk in u are greeted promptly, the business is clean, the check in/out is simplified. They are able to answer your questions, provide you with solutions based on your tan level, and they know what works. I was especially impressed with the lotion selection. This has got to be the cleanest tanning facilty I've ever been in. Their beds don't burn, have any bulbs out. I've tried level 2, 3, and 4. $5 Tuesdays and the upgrades are not that expensive as I've experienced in other tanning salons. I have visited probably 5 other LaTans. I went here to get a spray tan for my sisters wedding and the price here was decent. I told them I DID NOT want to be orange. The girls were super nice and helpful and the place was VERY clean. I'm totally new to tanning & just started going this week. So far I'm very happy with this place. When I decided to join, I didnt know anything about subbed tanning, other than potential risks (which honestly are not going to stop me). The staff have been extremely helpful in not only helping me choose the best membership for my skin tone, but are also very helpful in recommending good lotions. I'm paying $20 a month for unlimited level 1 bed tanning, and if I can upgrade my session to level 2 if I want for only $4 per session (not quite ready for that yet though). You don't even need to commit to a membership if you only plan on going once, however the memberships are truly the best value. Every day of the week they have some sort of special too. They offer the option of laying down down or standing up so I personally prefer to stand. Beds have fans to keep you cool when tanning, and rooms offer plenty of privacy. They have a huge variety of lotions, and they also sell individual sample sizes of them so that you can try it out to see if you like it before paying for a big bottle of it. today I tried out a new lotion that I absolutely loved (the palms + agave) and I think I'll buy the full bottle when I go back tomorrow! After only 2 sessions at level 1 so far, I'm already noticing a tan starting to build and hope that next week I'll finally have a base tan built up! read more

I visited this LA Tan today for the first spray tan. I've been to this location multiple times before but it's been years since I don't tan often and I had always done the UV tanning bed. Christina assisted me and she was super informative and helpful. I explained what I wanted and she went through the options and made a recommendation based on her knowledge and my input. Since it was my first spray tan I was a little nervous about the whole process but she broke it down from beginning to end and made sure I fully understand. This location is Wonderful! It is very clean and comfortable while not overly expensive and you get what you pay for. They keep the bulbs in the beds very fresh so every tan you do is what you expect. I've been to other locations and this one exceeds expectations as does the manager, Christina. I usually go to this location because it's a convenient, but the girls that work there are always gossiping with each other about their personal business when I go in. That's never made me want stop coming here, but after what happened today, I definitely won't be going back- I went in at 4:50 and saw the sign that they were closing at 5 and said I felt bad, did they know if any other location was open later. The girl working, who is apparently a manger, said no she didn't know and didn't offer to check for me, and then she said I could only tan if I went for 5 minutes. I said I had an event this week and today was the only day I could squeeze tanning in, but she still wasn't willing to help. I've worked in retail before, and you're supposed to assist any customer for as long as they need until your doors are locked, not kick them out exactly at closing time. This customer service is just unacceptable and I won't be returning to this location. They clearly didn't care about my business today, so I won't be spending any more time or money at this location. read more

I rarely tan but wanted to get some color before a vacation. Went to this place because it was closest to my house and I am glad I did. Very nice place!!! The staff was friendly and made recommendations about what lotions to use without being overly pushy. It was very clean and comfortable. I used to go to the L.A. tan off Roselle Rd, until I discovered how much bigger and better this location was! The staff is usually very nice and helpful. They actually helped me discover that your tanning membership varies at each location. Who knew? !Tonight however, I decided to tan at 8:30. I walked in at exactly 8:36pm and asked if they still allowed tanning. The girl at the front desk replied in a tone that was completely unprofessional and said "Well, we close at 9" while rolling her eyes. I then said, "Ok, well when do you take your last tan? If I can't it's ok, just say so " and she said "No. It's fine ". So I did a stand up for 7 minutes and was in my car at 8:49. I get it. It's closing time. You want to go home, clearly. BUT, this is a BUSINESS that is about CUSTOMER SERVICE and tonight, I was appalled. read more

I am so sick of getting dirty looks from the girls in this place especially when I walk in I always have a smile on my face. I have been asked rude questions before about people they asked if I knew, and personally do not enjoy this place. Their spray tan machine gave my sister the grossest streaks, and she has used the Versa Spa at multiple locations and this one made her streak because it was not cleaned properly. When she came back they just suggested she shower and it will go away. Not only did she pay $12 for this spray tan she had to look horrible for a couple days and then wait to re spray at a different location. That is not proper customer service.
