The gelato is so good! If you love pistachio gelato, this is the place to go. The employees are super helpful and friendly. They have seating outside, perfect for a nice sunny day.

We stopped here at like 10:15pm on a Sunday night after dinner at Terre next door, and the woman working was so kind with our indecisiveness and definitely upsold us on the more is better, multiple flavor option. We bought a 4 scoop large cup for $10, and enjoyed unique, Italian inspired flavors like butter and salt, and goat cheese and strawberries. The gelato was light and creamy, and incredibly reminiscent of Italy, with its more muted color tones, and carefully curated flavors!

This gelati shop is popular-- there was a line almost every time we passed by. It is also nicely located close by restaurants in Park Slope. We walked past after dinner and had to stop for a sweet treat. Despite a long line, the wait was not too bad. They have a bunch of fun flavors, especially if you like florals. We were able to have a couple samples and ordered two flavors in our cups. The employees were very kind and patient, even with the never-ending line.

Subtle yet interesting flavors. Love how the ice cream feels like but has a great texture. Would definitely recommend

Nice little gelato shop at park slope ... got the tiramisu and mango Gelato taste so good!! And they have kid size cup for the small kids!!

New gelato spot unlocked! We found this place while searching for ice cream in the area and was not disappointed. I had the coffee and hazelnut flavors and they were both delicious. Some of our friends tried the asparagus ice cream which I was curious about but ultimately decided that vegetables don't belong in ice cream. It is a bit on the pricier side- $6 for a kid size cone. But the gelato was great!

Great gelato place but their flavors aren't as creative as I thought. They advertised on their flavor creativity on the website, but I wasn't blown away by the options when visited. I did see they used to have seasonal flavors such as asparagus but don't think that was available when I visited. They do source their ingredient very selectively based on the info flyer they posted. They also don't use any artificial flavoring or preservatives. Definitely a great gelato choice if you like to consume natural Ingredient!

L'albero Dei Gelati offers a unique and delicious selection of gelati (plural version of gelato). As part of the slow food movement, "There are no flavorings, dyes, preservatives or artificial additives of any kind in any of our product." Ingredients are selected to be fresh and from sustainable sources -- "Farm fresh Italian gelato." The taste reflects the quality of the carefully curated authentic ingredients - reminiscent of gelato I've had in Italy. No surprise, L'Albero was founded by gelato artisans originally from a small town outside of Milan. The Park Slope location is one of NYC's best gelato spots - there's usually a long line of people waiting outside. Today, the line was about a ten minute wait. After reviewing today's flavors, I decided to try the "Spirulina and Edible Flowers" and the Lemon with Honey. Both were excellent. The spirulina had an earthy grassy complex flavor - it's a form of blue-green algae "superfood" which contains a slew of nutrients (as well as some potential health risks (particularly for diabetics) thanks WebMD - such is life). Risks be damned - I really enjoyed this flavor. I noticed that many of the customers in front of me were ordering the hazelnut gelato - I've heard it's the best thing ever. Will be trying that next time. I predict there will definitely be a next time and next and next .... Great gelati !

You have to come to try this gelato. It was a hot summer day when I came, so the line was somewhat long. I ended up getting a kid's scoop of the pistachio. The pistachio flavor was strong, and the gelato was super creamy. My favorite pistachio gelato in the city. The gelato melts quickly, especially in the heat, so be prepared to eat it quick.

You'll see it, this place was populated even on a weeknight. There isn't an inside, so you'll most likely expect a line. I had trouble choosing because most of the flavors all sounded chocolatey, too sweet, or if they weren't, they were sorbet. Luckily, the worker was patient and offered suggestions. I picked the Kid size Hazelnut one, which she said was their post popular, on a Cone ($6). The ice cream tasted like a creamier Ferrero Rocher, ice cream version. I felt like a kid eating chocolate again. The Kid size was also enough after a filling dinner. This was a solid creamy gelato, I'd recommend if you're in the area and in the mood for good dessert.

Best hand scooped gelato in Brooklyn! It's a popular spot in the hot summer days. They have my favorite stracciateli! So good. Service is always friendly & courteous. They have several others flavors, you can try a taste if you're not sure what to get. $5.90 for kids (1 flavor) is perfect for me. $6,90 2 get 2 flavors. Located in front of the restaurant. I have to try the restaurant next time. There's always some delicious aroma wafting thru.

    Some truly delicious gelato!

Unfortunately this place fell very flat. Leading with what we liked: Their mocktail offerings were good, promising a 0.0% ABV which is hard to come across when mocktails are offered. They serve oysters, which adds to that aphrodisiac experience of the oh so 'wow this is a former brothel!'. The bartenders and servers were fast and very sociable with the more sociable customers. The immediate entrance is very tight, and it was uncomfortable navigating the space. We expected there'd be more seating in the back, which there was, but it was limited and not offered to us until we asked for it. We honestly had no clue where it would be and only asked because of how this place was advertised. While it was comfy once we made our way back there, it was reminiscent of a lounge style bar space that almost any bar could replicate with the right room and budget. We didn't feel as though this hit the spot and were let down by this experience. I'm not sure if I can judge the menu of drinks/ foods as expensive, but we left hungry bc we couldn't justify some of the prices. In addition, I've seen a lot of complaints about the volume of the music: it's definitely loud at the front but a lot lower in that back lounge space. It's as loud as any bar's music level would be, but truth be told we were expecting music that matched the vibe of what was advertised and yes, at a lower volume.

It's classy but not too fancy and has enough space but doesn't get too loud. They have a nice happy hour menu from Tuesday-Friday from 5 to 7 as well as all day on Sundays which has very decent prices such as an $8 old fashioned among other things (see the photo.) the bartenders I've had before have been friendly with some good recommendations. Outside of their wide selection of cocktails which run the gamut of liquors, they have a nice wine selection, a handful of craft beers, and a very small food selection. The first time I was here, I had one drink which was the excellent Star of The Ice Snow for $17 with Iwai 45 whiskey, brie-washed Carpano Antica, Fernet Branca, barrel-aged orange bitters, and sassafras bitters. It had a a bit of bitterness, some sweetness, some spice, and some light mint from the fernet and was a pleasant complex drink and was certainly worth it from the price. The second time I was here was just this evening where I had two drinks. I first went with something that I was thinking of getting the first time which is their outstanding Vivian Darkbloom for $15 with Union mezcal, lime, pineapple, charcoal, Velvet Falernum, and lime bitters. The drink has mild citrusy sweetness as well a bit of smoke from the mezcal and is probably my favorite drink I've had here though the other drink I had the first time gives it stiff competition. I asked the bartender what he recommends and after a small discussion, he said either The Bell Witch (which is a gin and chartreuse cocktail with a strong herbal flavor) or what I went with. Said drink was the Under a Cosmic Cloak for $16 with rhubarb infused rum, Trois Rivieres rum, Smith & Cross rum, yerba mate, lime, grapefruit, and whey. The bartender said that it wouldn't be overly sweet as the rum was milk washed and this was indeed the case with just a mild sweetness and some fruitiness. There was a light herbal flavor otherwise presumably from the mate as well as a light citrus note and overall, it was good though definitely the least complex of the drinks I've tried and probably my least favorite but was definitely not a bad drink. The drinks here are reasonably priced for the quality, the bartenders are friendly, and it is classy but not overbearingly so. I can see why it's popular and I wish I stopped in more.
