I came in for a manicure and pedicure that was booked for my birthday, and unfortunately the experience did not meet the standard I expect from a professional service. For context, I specifically chose regular polish instead of gel because gel has started to burn and hurt my nails. As an esthetician, I'm also mindful of repeated UV exposure aging the hands, so this was an intentional choice. This appointment was also intentionally scheduled during a specific window so my husband could set up my birthday party while I was there. The rushed service defeated that purpose and ended up being frustrating not just for me, but for the person who thoughtfully arranged it. The space itself was clean, and I appreciated being offered water in a glass goblet with lemon. That part felt thoughtful. Where things went wrong was in the service. They did my manicure and pedicure at the same time without asking, which made the experience uncomfortable and rushed. I would have preferred to relax and enjoy each service separately instead of constantly shifting around. There was also a woman who appeared to be supervising who stood and stared at clients the entire time. It created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere rather than a relaxing one. The biggest issue was the manicure. It was completed in about 40 minutes and felt very rushed despite booking a higher tier service. The polish application was extremely poor. The pedicure technician, Tony, actually had to step in and try to fix the manicure, which I appreciated, but instead of removing the original polish he painted over it. As a result, my nails were thick, uneven, dull, and still sticky 25 minutes later as I was leaving for my birthday event. I paid $110 total. I tipped Tony $20 cash for helping fix the situation and gave Helen $5, which reflects the quality of the manicure I received. I don't mind paying for quality. This simply did not reflect professional-level work, especially for a special occasion. read more

My daughters and I have been coming to the salon since 2023 and it has not disappointed. The new remodel is very spacious and elegant. I appreciate the exceptional service that we receive every single time we visit. Even after taking a couple of months off, the staff still remembers me and my daughters and they always treat us exceptionally well. In addition to the excellent service, I can honestly say that this is one of the best nail salons in the area. My pedicures always last for over a month and the staff is so meticulous with every detail of my service. I was so excited today to see that they have upgraded the variety of pedicures that you can get today I got the milk & honey pedicure and it was phenomenal. Awesome! Arrived! Signed in and a worker told me I could sit until I was called. Waited at the bar- like area. Music playing. The salon is very nice! Classy decor. Called back shortly later and sat at a pedicure chair. Waited there for a worker to start. He finished with the person beside me and got started. Picked a color for spring. 014 and he got started. He was very kind and checked up on me while doing the pedicure. Relaxing! Even better after cleaning up and massaging with a scrub and then lotion! Then warm hot towel massage. GREAT! I called ahead of time to make sure they could take my daughter and I. When we arrived, they were rushing us the entire time. Usually they offer a complimentary drink, but I was not offered any. However, the lady next to me was. I had asked for simple gel acrylic with French tip. I even showed him a photo of the simple French tip. The guy who did my nails told me I was done after he finished laying down the nude color. He didn't clean the cuticles, nor did he soak my nails or clean the edges. When I left the salon, I took a photo because I was that shocked at how awful they looked. Mind you, we came two hours before closing so I'm not sure of the rush or cold attitude. Very disappointed with this experience. Something has radically changed since I was there 6 months ago because I was pleased the few times I went there, but now the quality of service is appalling. The manicure and pedicure were rushed, my nails were cut unevenly and my cuticles were left looking like I had hangnails. The overall work was sloppy and unprofessional. There was also lack of proper sanitation and the tools did not appear to be cleaned between clients, which is completely unacceptable. To charge such overpriced services for poor quality work and questionable hygiene is extremely frustrating. This was the worst nail salon I have ever been to. I went to get a pedicure and was appalled by the service. To start, they use unclean instruments which puts us and the public at risk for fungal, bacterial and viral communicable diseases. They rushed through the services causing pain despite multiple requests to not be so rough. The nails looked and felt terrible and my feet still have callouses worse than when I went in. Finally, I spent time in Vietnam but am not Vietnamese and the horrible things they were saying about me in Vietnamese and other customers was unacceptable. Worst place! I went here when it was still called Emerald Nails and that was a much better experience. I kept explaining the shape I wanted and it wasn't being done. I usually just accept whatever a nail tech does because I don't want to be "that person". I showed multiple photos and he kept making them super skinny. It had already been two hours (i was doing a solid color). We had to wait 45 min despite having an appt for me and my daughter. I explained that I didn't like it at all and for a fill that was shaped hideously I was charged 85$. When I asked how the price had jumped dramatically from just a few weeks prior they said "oh because we had to keep redoing it". The tech who did mine did not understand English at all which caused most of the problem and I never judge on that BUT seriously, how was this my fault. They told me if I didn't like it to just go elsewhere. So I will. I didn't make a scene. I was extremely polite but dang that experience sucked. I emphatically tell everyone NOT to go there. BTW my friend with us is fluent in Vietnamese and the things they were saying were appalling. We also witnessed unsanitary conditions with reusing UNclean instruments because of the entire experience I reported them to State board and sent the videoa. Fire them all! read more

Wish prices were more up front when scheduling the appointment. I thought I'd spend $46 since the website said acrylic was $40 and $6 for French tip but walked out spending $70. I don't know if gel is a requirement for acrylic nails since I don't get my nails done much but they charged me $15 extra for gel and I didn't ask for gel. If I could give zero stars that's what this salon would get. I made an appointment and had to wait for the person I requested for over 30 minutes. That was my first visit. My second was almost as bad. It just doesn't matter if you have an appointment. I explained that I could not use the light on my nails as it burned my fingers. The tech insisted that it was new technology. I also told them that the acetone would burn my fingers. They do not use the foil unless you ask. The second time I asked. On to my last visit. I was told to come in at 10 for my appointment and when I got there, my tech had a doctor appointment and would be in at 12. I told the owner never mind I will come back on another day. She gave me Jojo. Jojo started my nails and told me that my tech had a problem. She never said what the problem was and when I told her I thought he had a doctor's appointment she said, yes. This gets worse. Jojo started to put the acetone on my nails using the foil method and I told her that would not work she was going to burn my fingers. She continued on and after the second nail I told her you are burning my fingers. She pulled the foil off. About 20 minutes into my appointment she had to leave to pick up the tech. She left me with Ivy. She told Ivy exactly what to do and left. Serena the owner left and Dustin my original tech was not there. These are the only English speaking people in the shop.I was unaware of this until Ivy took over. Ivy kept trying to ask me how I wanted my nails and I was having a hard time understanding her. Finally, another tech came over and stuck her phone in my face. I figured out that she was trying to translate what I wanted Ivy to do on my nails. Then she Face Timed the owner and I'm talking to the owner and telling her that Jojo had already explained what I wanted. Ivy finished my nails with Gel polish and quick drying top coat. In the middle of this mess Jojo came back with Dustin who I had an appointment with at 10. It was now 11:30. Jojo took a woman who did not have an appointment and Dustin took his 11. I told Ivy that the top coat was bubbling and of course she could not understand me. I just walked out. As I was leaving, Serena pulled up and asked me what was wrong and I told her my nail polish is bubbling. She said, no it's the sun shining on it, but I'll put another coat to make me happy. She did and it made it worse. Serena you need to learn to run a business. If a client wants a certain tech and you schedule them, make sure they can do that client at the time you scheduled.
