DEAD CRAWFISH!!!!! 6/16/2024 DO NOT GO HERE!! I bought 2 bags of jumbo crawfish ($3.69/lb)and 2/3 of the bags were dead! Spent over $250 for nothing and it was gross! No wonder there's a bunch of flies around the bag. And I cook crawfish almost weekly. And I just checked the price. The owners know what they are doing...they are selling dead crawfish...even the worker knows. read more

I have been going here for quite some time. I also realized there was a point in which I needed to observe the workers to ensure that my bag only contained the larger shrimp for which I was being charged. However, recently, I have been continuing my observations only to find that the entire container of the jumbo shrimp already contains smaller shrimp. So, no matter what I observe, I am still getting jipped. That coupled with the fact the owner excitedly greets other customers while barley giving me (the regular money he can count on) a "hey girl, hey," is enough for me to return to Emerys...But still observing... read more

After a dissapointing trip to Texas City for some Crawfish, my girlfriends and I stopped here. L& A had a huge variety of seafood of all types, kinds, and sizes. On top of our sack of crawfish we too wanted some Jumbo shrimp too, but like every other person I wanted to price around. Later, I came back to only purchase the shrimp since it offered it at the best price for the size we wanted. The workers and what i am assuming the owner were really nice and totally ok that we only came for the shrimp. Now I know where to come and not be dissapointed on price, quality and drive. read more

My family has been going to this place for at least 2 years and from the first visit we noticed dead flies on the shelves where they keep the cooking oil, and seasonings. 2 years later the same flies are there along with several inches of dust. Now, if you can continue to stock the shelves with inventory what harm is it to clean those 2 year dead flies and dust off the shelves? Just ridiculous. I will be reporting this to the food and safety inspector. read more

My first and last time visiting this market. I purchased a sack of crawfish from this market, When I purchased the crawfish I thought they needed to be cleaned and purged because the smell was so bad. There were large flies circling the sack of crawfish. I figured once they are cleaned and purged it would be better. I was wrong. I ignored the smell and continued to cook the crawfish. After they were cooked the smell and flies intensified. I called the market to let them know the crawfish was bad, and the owner was yelling at me at the top of his lungs. I am a firm believer of excellent customer service so not once did I raise my voice or make any accusations. The price was very good. They were 1.99 a pound. So needless to say I am out of $77 for a sack of crawfish. read more

Horrible, horrible costumer service! I got there at 5:55pm on a Tuesday evening and their open sign was turned off and the sign on the door said they close at 7:00pm. I knocked on the door and the lady came and asked what I needed and I told her "are you open? The sign says 7:00pm" she looked at me and said "no" then proceeded to slam the door! So unprofessional and rude! She lost my business! read more

This has become my favy seafood market down here, they have great prices and the staff is super friendly. I also love the fact they are big on keeping everything really fresh and they keep the store clean. Will certainly be back! read more

drove all the way over here from Manvel tx and they were close we arrive at 6:30 PM and they're supposed to be closed at 7 PM Sunday

There were a lot of selections of fresh seafood and the price were very reasonable. We were driving around and went to several seafood places but the selections were very limited and were not fresh, mostly frozen. But L&A seafood was an exception. It seemed their fish was fresh of the boat and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for fresh seafood. read more

The staffs are nice and honest. They will let you know which fish is frozen and which is fresh. If you don't like the fish on display, ask them you get the better one in storage, they'll be happy to bring it to you. I try this place and TH seafood at the very end of the street. They are both good, friendly staff, good selection and good price. read more

It's a fine place for crawfish but anything else I'd prefer going an extra hundred yards to Rosie's.

Welcome staff and cheapest crawfish in the area. They are fresh. I got $2.49/ lb for a sack of jumbo size crawfish. Do not go to golden, the staff are bad. People here are nicer. read more
