Both proteins were 10/10, and the quantity I got in the bowl was perfect. You get unlimited mix-ins with the regular bowl, so I got almost every single one. I also got truffle shoyu sauce to go in the mix-ins and in the rice and topped it all off with ginger, wasabi, masago, etc. The service was great as my bowl was made fast once I was at the front of the line, and they were getting through the long line of people fast. Even when I ask for extra fish, I still end up running out and am left with mostly rice. The rice portion isn't very large either, so the fact that the fish still runs out says a lot about the portion sizes. Overall, the flavors are great, but the portions feel off for what you pay. The upkeep is done well and through the multiple times I've been here, the staff maintains the cleanliness of the tables. Okii poké has a very smart approach to orders. They have a preset menu for those who would rather not use their brain power to choose their own ingredients, and in my opinion, reading through the list, they have a good sense of flavor combinations and themes. Some of my absolute favorite things to get at any poké place is salmon, yellowtail, and good tuna and Okii has all of these things. I think one of the items that best sets Okii apart from their competition are the matcha noodles--seriously, they are an amazing, AMAZING switch up from white rice. In terms of value, Okii not only has a generous rewards program, but they are very generous with their portions as well. I feel they give more fish than any other poké restaurant in Houston. Wanted some lunch so stopped by this place for some poke bowl and was delighted to find that their tuna was not fishy at all! It was great! I usually order a custom bowl with ahi tuna and spicy tuna and I'd say they have one of the better ahi tunas! However I was a bit disappointed with their amount of toppings, just wish they had a bit more options. Also found it kind of odd that they put the sauce on the rice instead of mixing it with the toppings or with the protein, but I guess it's just a preference thing. Also got the Shaggy Dog Bowl which they recommended, the main protein in there was shrimp tempura and as someone who loves Shrimp Tempura, their shrimp tempura was not really good. So that was a plus. I appreciate that they put a utensil in the bag as I did not have one on me when I ordered delivery. The bag was stapled closed so I knew it hadn't been tampered with. It's the little things that matter. I wouldn't say that the menu is huge, but because there is the "build your own" option, it makes for many options. When I go inside to pick up my food, the establishment seems clean. I've never noticed anything that made me question the cleanliness. We were really impressed with this local poke spot! We ordered the Truffle Yellow Tail bowl and the Classic Poke bowl. They had 1-2 customers in front of us but the guys behind the counter were very friendly and helped us immediately. The prices are fair ($11.50 for regular bowl) and the portions are very generous IMO compared to other bigger poke chains (PokeWorks, poke places in Galveston and in Houston). I use to always love coming here and was really disappointed when I came today. I was with my sister and boyfriend and we ordered 2 shaggy dog bowls, a chicken katsu bowl and pork eggrolls. Both of the shaggy dog bowls had so much sauce you couldn't even taste the other food in the bowl and the ladies making the bowls mashed all the ingredient together and it tasted like wet baby food. I have dined in and enjoyed my poké bowl in their cute establishment. I wanted a poké bowl from this place and watch my Astros so today I ordered to go! I love their flexibility in adjusting the bowls. I ordered a large ahi tuna honey wasabi. The only difference between a regular and large is that with a large you get 3 scoops of protein instead of 2. I asked for 2 scoops of ahi tuna and 1 scoop of cooked shrimp instead of all 3 scoops of ahi tuna. Done, no problem! Instead off all rice I asked if I could do sushi rice with mixed greens. Done, no problem! Other than those changes I keep everything the same as it comes with it. For my husband I ordered him a regular truffle yellowtail. First you choose if you want a rice bowl, salad, wrap, or noodles. Then you choose between their proteins of ahi tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, cooked shrimp, or tofu. A regular is 2 selections and a large is 3. And from then on, it's up to you to choose whatever toppings and sauce you want. I was headed down the road to one of my favorite restaurants in the area, but apparently everyone else was headed in the same direction as me; the parking lot was full, and I needed something relatively quick for dinner, not a long wait for a table or food. It looks like it has been open for a few months now but I obviously was traveling when it was announced. A friend who traveled a lot to Hawaii introduced me to poke bowls, and I get one whenever I can. Some places are ok, some places are good. This one hit it out of the park for me. It's not a large establishment, which i think is good because a meal like this should never be rushed and deserves the individual attention that only a smaller restaurant can accomplish. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and generous with their portions and interest in making this a good experience.
