I've taken a few cars by Tommy's and they always do right by my vehicles. I have a classic (antique) car and daily driver (cross over). They've done work on both and I've been very pleased with the results. I find his rates to be very fair. He always gives you an estimate and the estimate is genuine. I've called a few times to ask questions and he's been helpful and responsive. I come here when I have problems with my cars, which is already nerve wracking. I needed my A/C refreshed and to take care of a creaking noise from one of the rear tires. Got an oil change too. They took care of it at a fair price, and told me I didn't need to change the oil yet, which I appreciated. Nice, friendly staff too. I'll come back for any future issues with my car. read more

I took my Hyundai Sonata in because my air conditioning was blowing hot. First they charged me almost 200 to run dye through the system, check all belts and lines, evacuated and recharged with reclaimed R-134. It blew cold for 24 hours then back to scorching. Brought it back they removed and replaced the HVAC Door Actuator and replaced the cabin air filter which they "claim" was clogged. Horrible mechanics and the front desk receptionist is as nasty as they come. They say they guarantee work. They will do all kinds of nonsense and still not find the real problem. My car is still hot and I am fuming. Avoid at all costs unless you like throwing money down a rat hole. read more

Employees were nothing but helpful and were able to get my car back to me much sooner than expected and it's running like a charm. Best mechanic in Brooklyn! Tommy's the only completely honest mechanic i've ever met. he's even advised me not to spend money on things I thought I needed. One time I went to him to get my air conditioning fixed, he could have told me anything in the world -- compressor/ freon boost/ etc! What he told me was that it was just a hose, fixed it for a couple of bucks. I never went anywhere else after that, and have never had a complaint. read more
