I would just suggest to customers - if you're tipping based on % of cost, to do it based on price of other places vs a % of price here. We tipped based on the price I paid at Petsmart's for the basic grooming ($130) and added bit more because it was totally deserved! Here they do to exactly what's asked for vs the other place that just basically shaves the dog unless you want to pay a fortune to add on any sort of other cut! This was our first experience going to Weronika and was a grooming emergency. Our dog had gotten a…read moredeer tick bite and his fur was much too thick to see if he had more ticks on him or if the original bite had the telltale Lyme disease rash. I called and left a message for Weronika and she squeezed us in after hours. I didn't know what to expect when we got into her grooming salon/camper, but Weronika soon put us and our little dog at ease. (His breed is not normally clippered, but we needed to see him without his coat on). She shaved him down and I thought we were done, but no - she then gave him a flea and tick bath, dried him and used thinning shears to make sure that there were no razor marks. She even brushed his teeth, getting him to behave when I haven't had any luck at all! All the while she was talking to Odo and giving him kisses on his beady little head. She also let me know that she has a soft spot for rescues and we talked about all the rescue dogs she sees. She could not have been kinder or gentler to Odo (or us). Even though she had pressing family business, she treated Odo as if she had all the time in the world. I discovered that the only way to get an appointment is if you leave a message on her phone and she'll call you back when she is done with the dog that she was grooming when you called. Don't leave a message and you'll never get an appointment with this busy, friendly lady. Her grooming salon comes to you - we happened to go to her just this once. I can't recommend Weronika highly enough, and am now delighted that we now have a trusted person to take care of our dog. It's very rare to meet such a nice person who is also so very good at her job. 100% terrific. UPDATE: We're still having Weronika groom our dog, and we still love her. She now has clients email her to get an appointment on her wildly busy schedule, but she answers promptly and as long as it isn't the holiday season you can get an appointment fairly quickly. Even if you have to wait, she still is as loving and wonderful as ever. Our dog, who LOATHES bathing, toenail cutting, and all grooming related activities, loves Weronika, and is overjoyed when he sees her. To me, that's the best way to judge a groomer. 10/12/15

For grooming, both have short fur so I can't comment on cuts, but I've never had an issue (baths and nail clipping). With boarding, one of them specifically has a tendency to come back dirty, but that is mostly because she enjoys trying to destroy her water dish and laying in the remains. I started at VCA city cats Arlington and then went to this place. I have never been scammed out of so much money. It's truly such a disappointment to know these people will let's things get worst before the get better. He wasn't eating and I expressed all of my concerns.They suggested a blood test and charged 340.00 nothing was done other than a general evaluation and some injections. I was there 20 min at most (the blood test not included in the cost) After reading the test and speaking to the clinic i was told my cat had gingivitis. I was so confused as to how this slipped the doctors mind after expressing his weird eating habits and expecting good care this expensive company. when I called to complain of this oversight instead of being offered actual help I was told offered their VCA care plan (thats wouldn't cover the suggested exams) for 175 a month. Then I asked for a quote for the exams and I was quoted 500 for blood panel and 2000 for teeth cleaning. I couldn't believe It.. in this economy. After researching I found BANFIELD. They charged me 85 month plus their one time membership fee....for a care plan that includes the blood work teeth cleaning and the urine analysis I had to do because we kept getting abnormal results.. currently I have a cat with STAGE TWO kidney disease my cat is 5 years old and a pure bread bengal ..he's too young to be going through this. He's probably been dealing with this for a while - under their care and VCA never ever suggested blood work or poop sample or anything remotely close to be seen as routine work in his whole life. They never suggested teeth cleaning..ever. It absolutely ridiculous to think that I paid so much for "quality of care" and all I got was horrible care and wasted so much money. They wait for crap to hit the fan so they can charge you an arm and a leg. From a broken hearted cat mom. VCA you know who I am. Don't contact me unless it's with a refund
