This company has been nothing but a headache. The water quality is awful and completely unreliable and unaffordable. On top of that, their customer service is terrible -- unhelpful, unprofessional, and nearly impossible to get a straight answer from. Every time i have contacted them to cancel the service, they either ignore it or drag their feet. I have been trying to cancel services for over a month now just for them to prolong it and say I am past my cancellation date (given it took 2 weeks for them to even install) and the cancellation is only within 3 days! For the high cost they charge, the service is absolutely unacceptable. I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere. I got a free kit at my local Home Depot to test the water. On an impulse, I send them a sample from my under the sink GE double barrel carbon filter. The filter had also just been changed recently. I thought it was Home Depot doing the testing. Nope, it is this company. I got a phone call from a hard sell woman telling me my water was all messed up and had all this stuff in it. She wouldn't shut up. I should have just hung up on her. I did have to go and she asked if she could call back on Monday. I said sure to get going. She just called again. My water is fine. We received a Black Jack scratch off card in the mail. I just like scratching things so when I scratched the card, I did get a Black Jack. Thinking I won, I called the number on the card to "claim my prize." The lady answered and said they needed to send someone over to my house with the master key chart to verify which prize I won and then I would need to be available for a 30 minute presentation. I told them I just wanted to collect my prize and wasn't interested in the presentation. They said I had to listen to get the prize so I told them I wasn't interested in the prize anymore and thanked them for their time. TLDR: There are way too many positive Google reviews for this company. Plain and simple, these guys are 100% pressure salesmen that "show" scientific results that would make any person of science cringe. STAY AWAY!!! We, like several other reviewers on here, received a blackjack scratcher in the mail, if you beat the dealer, you could win a prize! The secret...hold it up to the light, you can see through it. The nice lady whom I spoke with set up an appointment for someone to come into my home and test our water. I asked how long the presentation was going to take, she said 30 minutes. I told her that I had another appointment 30 minutes later and she immediately rescheduled for another day. Obviously, they know 30 minutes is bogus. Guy comes inside our house, sets up air filters, an air quality meter that flashes numbers, a water filter, and a couple test tubes. First thing out of his mouth is "is your wife around?" I said that she was, and he then asked if I could get her. I went to ask my wife if she wanted to sit in on this show; she was about to go running so I got the hint and told our guest that she was going to go work out and would not be sitting with us. Guy then asks again if I could persuade her to sit in because if she didn't he "WOULDN'T GET PAID." I went back to my wife and told her word for word what homeboy said, and she was blown away at how ballsey this guy was, so she decided to come down and sit through the presentation. After a 10-minute talk about how their purifiers and softeners are on the space station he fills up a test tube from our sink and then asks where we get our drinking water from. We get it from the fridge, so he dumps out the test tube with sink water and fills it with fridge water and says he's going to test how clean our filtered fridge water is. My wife wanted to point out that he was cross contaminating the test tubes, but he had already started talking again. He fills up another test tube with water from his purifier and then he puts in a few drops of some solution he said would turn the water yellow, which it did. First off, spoiler alert?!? Second, no idea what this magical solution was, it turns water yellow and the milkier yellow it is, the dirtier our water. Pro tip: if you're doing a demonstration and you use things people aren't familiar with, tell them what it is and why it is important. There are a lot of fluids out there that can turn water yellow. Next, he puts some water in a little bottle and says it will test if we have hard water. I told him that we didn't have a softener so chances were that our water would be hard. No surprise, we have hard water. I told him I had been shopping for water softeners and done a lot of research on them. He asks me what water softeners I was looking at I pulled one up that I liked but was out of our price range, he chuckled and asked, "what is too expensive to you?" I told him it cost about $1,200. He started to laugh and it was then that I knew that what he was going to try and sell me was going to be WAY more expensive than a very nice system that gets excellent ratings in all the consumer and home improvement journals. He decided to press on with his condescension of my water softener knowledge and asked, "who is going to install it for you?" Confused I said "I am... it's not really rocket science. Anyone with a couple of wrenches and an internet connection can learn how to do it." he just smiled and nodded and went onto show us their water softeners, which, I will admit, are nice but WAY out of our price range. I had budgeted $600.00 for a water softener, theirs costs $13,000 (with dichlorination). So not even in the ballpark. I told him I won't buy that, to which he responded with "oh, so I guess you like hard water then?" I was shocked with that response, so I told him, "no I don't, your system is too expensive, and you don't need to be condescending about my decision." Sensing some tension, he started to show us an alkaline water dispenser they sell and tells us all the wonderful benefits we will get from drinking alkaline water. Even when he said they would throw it in free with purchase of a water softener, I am not going to shell out $13,000. His response "So I guess you don't care about having clean drinking water?" my response "No, I do care about having clean drinking water, and again, you don't have to be condescending." After realizing he wasn't going to make a sale, he packed up, made a phone call to his boss and gave us our "free two-night resort stay" and left. I have the paperwork for the two night stay on my desk to serve as a reminder of how dumb I can be at times. There is no way I am going to cash this thing in...it will probably end up costing me $13,000. I am glad I didn't go with any of their systems because after reading several reviews here (yelp), their equipment seems to break down frequently requiring customers to pay upwards of $200 for each service call. read more

All we had to do was have our water tested. We live in Fountain so we already know our water is not good, but for $50 why not. Nico and his associate showed up early and were very polite people. They started by talking to us about air quality in the home d both my wife and I have horrible allergies during the spring. We heard the air purifier pitch and went into the water treatment issues. It's a sales pitch folks, it takes a bit of time, but if you'll listen and actually interact you can learn A LOT about how the system can actually benefit you and your family. I take my family's health very seriously so my wife and I actually listened and when everything was said and done we decided on the water system and air purifier. It is not a cheap investment, but for an investment that pays for itself in 5 years it is worth it. The systems are top of the line and quality units, the company is supportive and the benefits are great. We were also pleasantly surprised to learn that adding these systems to our home actually increases the value of our home. I know it's not the most exciting thing to sit through and it might feel a little shady. My advice is, give them a chance. Understand that there's a process to it and that there are huge benefits to the investment. If you're honestly just in it for a gift card, yeah you might be disappointed. If you keep an open mind, try to learn something and actually listen you may be pleasantly surprised and you may make an investment that literally helps your family and your home. A sales person came to our house 2.5 hours late (apparently the first one went to the wrong house) and then proceeded to give a 50 minute scare tactic sales pitch that included the phrase, "I wouldn't drink that water. I mean, I get to go home to clean water. If I were you, I'd switch to bottled water immediately, and think about how much that will cost." At the end, he said he'll give us $17,000 of free equipment if we purchase a $16,000 system, but we had to purchase now. Had a woman come to my house to test my water. First thing that got my attention was when she told me that these drops (??) would neutralize my tap water. I asked how I would know that without a ph test on both the tap water and the sample with those "Drops" in it. When tested the sample water tested a 9-10 ph, neutral is 7 ph. Then she told me that their water system cleaned its self once a year costing $4.00 per year. She couldn't give me an answer to the question, how much would it cost to clean your system for a family of 6. She started to call her boss again and I told her to just stop and have a nice night. I purchased a home with the L&L solutions system already installed. I first called Home Water Solutions thinking that was who I needed to have come do maitenence on my equipment. They quoted me $89 to come change my fitlers and perform an equipment maintenance operation. When the Home Water Solutions rep showed up they kindly let me know that I did not have one of their systems installed, and I needed to contact L&L. They even tested my water for free! I called L&L and set up an appointment. When they came to my house the rep was here for 15 minutes. He changed my water filters in my under the sink filtration system, and broke the salt up in my water softner system. I was charged $315 for this service!! This is a huge scam!! I would NOT recommend this company. I am actually thinking about switching the whole system and going with Home Water Solutions. read more

We got tied in to one of these "free water testing" presentations via signing up for a drawing at the Denver Home Show. The lady who called me said that we won a $50 gift card to Restaurants.com and said someone would deliver it to us and test our water. We sat through the presentation as our dinner got cold, and finally got to tell Benito that we did not want to buy one of the systems. He packed everything up, and continued trying to sell us in the meantime. Finally he was all packed so I asked for the gift card before he leaves. And sure enough, "they didn't send him with any gift cards". He said he would come back the next day to deliver the gift card so I wouldn't be so upset. And wouldn't you know, we never saw a gift card. I have also not heard back from Benito even though I have his email and phone number. Very shady company. Very dishonest and unethical sales and marketing techniques. I filled out an entry form for a $10,000 drawing at an expo 2 years ago and they just called me on Friday afternoon. The woman said they needed to verify my information and eligibility for the drawing, then told me that I had won their daily drawing for a $50 gift card. She said someone would be stopping by at 6pm to drop it off and would do a "quick" water test while he was there. Their rep arrived at my house at nearly 7pm, said it would take about 45 minutes, then spent over an hour and a half trying to sell me on their water system. When he first arrived I made it clear that I was not at all interested in buying their system, he proceeded to aggressively try to sell to me, making wild unsubstantiated claims about the benefits of their water softening system (claimed that it can cure cancer, will solve my thyroid problems - but I've had my thyroid removed so I highly doubt changing the water will make it grow back, etc.) and trying to sell their system by scaring me into thinking it was necessary. Well, I'm not an idiot and I knew that a lot of the "facts" he was giving me were completely inaccurate. When I again told him I was not interested and would absolutely not be purchasing anything from him then he became very rude and argumentative. The "gift card" that they gave me is actually a coupon, as it requires a purchase on my part to redeem. They completely wasted my time trying to sell me something that I never expressed interest in and made clear from the initial contact that I was not at all interested in, and were very rude when their sales pitch didn't change my mind on their horribly expensive system. I just purchased my home a few months ago so I've just paid a hefty price for down payment, closing costs and moving expenses, and I am slowly working my way through the list of projects that need to be tackled in my home and a water softening system is really not a priority at this time. read more

If you're interested in something like this, do your research and go to the EPA's website and learn more about acceptable drinking water standards. That way, during the presentation you can throw facts and figures at every questionable thing they say. https://www.epa.gov/dwstandardsregulations The gentleman who was testing our water told us that it was not drinkable and we needed to install a very expensive water filtration system which conveniently had several financing options. The testing process was interesting to say the least. There were no exact measurements being used and he would reuse flasks that had already been used during the testing process. Isn't that cross contamination? One of the more hilarious points in the process came when the gentleman was using bottle droppers that contained different solutions to show what was in the water. He would pretend to count the drops of whatever solution he was using to make it look like he was being scientifically accurate, but really pouring in three times the amount of drops that he counted, from different droppers which were so old, the labels were worn off. A lot of the equipment was extremely dirty. I'm not an expert, but I would assume that you need a certain degree of cleanliness or sterilization to test the water, but I could be wrong. Again, I'm not an expert. We were not interested after the presentation and after he had packed everything up, we asked for the gift card and sure enough, he gave his last one to the previous clients. He said he would come back, but we never heard from him again. I believe this is a scam and If you sign up for this presentation ask first when they show up at your door to see the gift card and I guarantee they won't have it and you'll save yourself some time. read more

I had a very similar experience to Andrew G. below. Cody V. also came to our house and started unpacking and placing air filter units around the house, instead of testing the water. I was also lost as to what product he was talking about in the middle of his rushed presentation. He was probably rushing because when they scheduled the appointment they say about half an hour. It took him over half an hour to get to the water test!! I don't really know if the products work as well as he says or if i trust the tests he performs on the water but to expect a family to drop $13,295 at the drop of a hat is ridiculous and irresponsible. After saying 'no thanks' he makes two or three calls to his boss to get me a better deal, he 'throws in' a few more things and deferred payments for six months, desperate to get us on the hook for something. It came down to 'Please just buy the on-counter water purifier. After installation it's only $20 a month($3500). That actual sounded reasonable so I start to go ask my wife(who has lost patience and left the room by now) and before I could get out of the kitchen he mutters that 'it's closer to $60 a month and it's like getting a water credit card."!! Turns out $60 is the minimum payment on your new line of credit with interest accruing daily. If we went with all of his recommendations, we could be in $13,000 worth of debt overnight!! After standing firm and telling him no repeatedly he says "I never done one of these calls and not had someone buy anything", guess he must have forgot about Andrew G.!! After all that he copped an attitude and tried to leave without giving me the restaurant cards. Fortunately he had them and gave them to me and left without another word(2 hours later). read more

My wife and baby especially appreciate the better water and they have avoided the dry skin issues of the past. And the reverse osmosis means we don't have to worry about all the things in water that water treatment doesn't remove. We all drink more water and don't waste resources by buying bottled water.
