Great service. Fast, friendly, respectful, and professional. I bought my home in 2018, built in 2010-2011. The previous owner didn't exactly care for the place properly. The fireplace went out this year, so I called around. It was tough to find someone, but luckily I finally found L&R Services. Leroy Martinez of L & R Services is so wonderful!!! After reading reviews online for a long while to find a reputable and reasonably priced plumbing specialist, I came across L & R Services. My wife and I recently moved into our new home. Before we moved in, but had the house, we would come by every day or two to check on things. Unfortunately, we didn't think to open the cabinets during our checks until a few days before move-in. When I opened up the cabinet under the sink, water had been leaking from the cold water pipe and soaked into the whole back board of the cabinet. I could tell where the leak was coming from and was even pretty sure I knew what needed to happen to fix it, but I didn't have the right tools and I was afraid I'd make things worse if I got involved with no experience in plumbing. When I called, Mr. Martinez was booked until the following week. Hoping that the reviews were right, I decided to wait for him to come out in a week, despite not being able to use the dishwasher, kitchen sink, or water from the fridge, because I'd rather have someone known for doing a great job than call one of the corporate chains. It was easy to talk to Mr. Martinez on the phone. He was patient with me while I tried to describe the problem without any knowledge of the names for parts ("It's the three-part thing that's leaking from the bottom part that connects to the gasket-thing that connects it to the water pipe"). He didn't ask for it, but I sent Mr. Martinez a photo (via text) of the pipe having trouble and its surrounding area. Mr. Martinez actually ended up purchasing the part we needed for the repair ahead of time, just from looking at the photo, and was able to take care of everything in under 30 minutes. He was a little early to the appointment and sent me notice when he was on his way which I really appreciated. He stayed, despite his busy schedule, so that I could ensure the water wasn't leaking when I used other appliances connected to that cold water line. Mr. Martinez even checked under the dishwasher, behind the foot board, to ensure there wasn't any water building up or any leaks. I would have never even thought to look or ask to look! He was so helpful, so friendly, so knowledgeable. I always get nervous letting strangers into my home, even when it's for a repair, but the moment he showed up and introduced himself, I felt completely comfortable with him. I'm out in Aurora and L & R Services is located in Wheat Ridge. The majority of the cost was because of the distance. Mr. Martinez doesn't mark up his prices on parts and actually showed me his receipt so I could see he didn't try to overcharge me. I've never had someone be so apologetic for their service charge! It wasn't cheap, but again this is because of the distance and the charge was fair for how far he had to go. Even then, it was completely worth it to spend extra so that Mr. Martinez, an expert in his field and a very professional, friendly, and kind man overall, could fix the sink for me. I would highly recommend Mr. Martinez and L & R services for anyone who needs someone who can do plumbing and gas fireplaces (among a host of other services) and would like to work with an individual who charges fair prices, is incredibly knowledgeable, and is a pleasure to work with. Leroy installed a fireplace insert in my home recently, and I most highly recommend this business. He kept me informed about the timing, arrived with product and permit in hand, and charged a fee which was consistent with the original quote (including charging a 'permit' fee which was at actual permit cost). He handled the entire permit process, quickly scheduled both the initial and final inspection, made a priority of coming back to complete the 2nd part of the installation (between initial and final inspection), respected my property and kept the area clean, and was accessible throughout. When I contrasted the gas-line work he completed which was clean and caulked to the less-than-diligent electrical work done by the (other) electrical contractor, Leroy quickly offered to caulk/seal the electrical work as well. Once the final installation was complete, Leroy even took the time to show me how to use the remote control, and explained how to control the unit without the remote (by removing the face plate, etc). It's a pleasure working with a company that takes pride in their craft, and I will definitely have Leroy back to service the unit as needed. read more
