I have curly hair and it took me a…read morewhile to find a hairdresser I liked when I was away for college, so upon moving to the city I was very nervous to begin the hunt again. I have had hair cuts with Tori who has consistently given me amazing cuts! She cuts my hair wet which was very scary at first but you can trust that this works for her. My bangs always end up at the length I am expecting and she does lots of framing snips after drying which make for a great haircut. I also came in recently for just a bang trim which is a fraction of the already great price and I was in and out in 15 minutes which was great. The salon runs on a level system where the stylists level determines their price and indicates their level of expertise and seniority (I believe). The higher level stylists are slightly more expensive to book with so that is something to consider depending on what you are looking for. I took a star off because I have tried to make appointments a few times with the online scheduler and both times this has resulted in cancellation about an hour later explaining that they won't be able to perform that service at that time. This isn't super inconvenient as I am able to reschedule with the receptionist who calls to confirm the cancellation, but I would maybe just skip the attempt to online schedule until that system works a bit better. Overall, I love the vibe in here- decor is cute, everyone is so friendly, and you can get a beverage while you wait for your appt. I will continue to come here for hair cuts!

I tried this salon for the first time and had a horrible experience the entire encounter. I had…read morechunky highlights that were clearly sectioned. I asked for a touch up on the roots of my existing highlights and for a layered hair cut ending at my chest. From the start of the service, when I sat down, the hairstylist seemed confused about what I was asking her to do, I kept trying to tell her I just wanted the roots retouched of my existing highlights, I sectioned out the hair myself, and I even showed her pictures of myself with the highlights. She stated she understood what I was asking for. She ended up bloctchy bleach job, where left left a line of black and just bleached a chunk of new hair at the root but did not continue the highlight even though I had explicitly basked her not to give me more highlights and just touch what was already bleach and just has grow out. Then I had asked for a layered cut, which I wanted to end at my chest. She did an initial blunt cut to my chest but did no layers except for the front pieces. She asked if I wanted layers on the back of my head, to which I said yes. It was after she washed out my hair that she began cutting once more saying "no layers?" I once again told her I did want layers so she continued cutting, that's when I realized she had cut too much off. It felt like she did not know what she was doing as she kept asking a different stylist if the bleach lift was good and if she should rinse me out. The person in charge of the salon saw the end result, and let me walk out looking this horrible. Horrible experience, would never go back.

I had a feeling my last visit was a fluke thing. I know the work these ladies do is great. It just sucks that sometimes, our hair can only take so much.
