The furnace continued to leak for two weeks afterwards, eventually from both sides. Steve was informed the furnace was still leaking. Despite being made aware the furnace was still leaking, he did not contact the homeowner directly to follow-up and address the issue. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Smart Move HVAC. I would expect an HVAC professional to properly address the source of a leak, and if the problem continues after service that was paid for, communicate directly with the homeowner to make efforts to resolve it or refund the payment.

Poorly installed commercial HVAC unit caused extensive leaking and damage to my tenants…read moreestablishments. Van Drunen dispatched a representative to inspect the work, but he denied the existence of the problem. After trial and error, we were able to localize the leak to where the vent connects to the unit. I went on the roof and sealed it myself. Meanwhile, the unit ran out of freon just after the warranty expired and causing all my tenant's food to spoil. The service representative was almost tauntingly rude to me when explaining the issue. I contacted a semi-retired HVAC man from Lansing who advised that someone drilled a hole in the unit to leak the freon. Use this company at your own risk. There are so many much more dependable and professional companies in the NW Indiana/South Chicago area.
