Here's just one example: We were charged a hefty fee for absolutely no work. Their truck couldn't navigate our driveway on a snowy day, and instead of rescheduling, they went ahead and billed us anyway. When we called to dispute the charge, we were met with pure arrogance--told that we "don't understand how their business works" and that we were required to pay, no matter what. They demanded an outrageous amount for literally nothing. It felt like a joke--except it wasn't. This company is clearly taking advantage of the elderly without remorse. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and we encourage others to do the same. Do they honestly think they can just skip the work and still charge seniors? Absolutely disgusting.

Another local company got the business. If they can't complete something as simple as an estimate, I wouldn't trust to do the work.

After we scheduled the installation, they provided everything that our town needed to issue a building permit. On our installation date the crew went above and beyond the call of duty, accommodating our request for a slight change in location that required some creativity and skill in routing gas line and electrical conduit. The end result was great, and our house was none the worse for wear. The team also provided a good overview of care and maintenance of the system -- though for the most part it is truly automatic and requires only minor annual service. The generator we got was a 17KW Generac Guardian with Smart Transfer Switch. After the installation team left, it was fun turning off the main breaker and enjoying "independence from the grid." What is painfully apparent is the gross negligence in the decision to utilize a disconnected employee to conduct a vital inspection. Had proper discernment been applied, it would have mitigated the associated failures. This inspection should have been completed following the Veterans Administration Minimum Property Requirements, not the pencil-whipped document submitted for closing. The representative of your company assigned to conduct the VA-required inspection submitted a notice of resignation from your company before executing the contracted inspection. The associate disturbed a few inches of the topsoil to give the appearance that the inspection was completed, violating the minimum property requirements. This further demonstrated that there was zero motivation to exercise proper discernment to do the job correctly because the associate's mind was already moving onward with their new career path.   If done correctly by a qualified and dedicated professional, the inspection would have identified the crushed pipe under the sidewalk and never passed the rigid requirements of the Veterans Administration's inspection outline.   Therefore, the VA inspection would have failed, shifting the required repair to the property seller before closing on the property.  You and your co-workers unearthed the 8-foot concrete lid of the septic tank that day to gain access, graphing in an access portal afterward to conduct the inspection properly. Your co-workers identified additional failures in how that inspection was not performed correctly and shared those findings candidly with my wife. Using the company website, I requested a quote to inquire about our clothes dryer that had suddenly stopped working, although I did not receive a response within 48 hours. I then called the available phone number and received a text that I needed to text another number, all quite confusing. The person responding stated they didn't receive my inquiry so I had to text the problem. As the holiday weekend approached, I had to wait days for an available appointment. The owner visited my residence as scheduled and began to disassemble the dryer to determine the issue. My concern is he charged me $160, and the same problem reoccurred during my first use of the dryer since its service. The first $90 was for the visit and diagnosis, with $70 going toward the "repair". The response from the owner was the typical blame-the-customer dialogue for a solution he performed. Business owners should choose to do right by their customers and reject greed. The professional respect of your customers and community should be paramount and lead to word-of-mouth referrals and repeat opportunities. As a business owner, I understand the number one rule is the customer is always right. Conversely, business owners can believe they're always right and lose customers due to permanent online reviews highlighting issues that could have been quickly, and amicably resolved. Again, I strongly recommend avoiding doing business with this company as they do not value the customer and my experience appeared unethical. I wrote the owner the following message requesting fair compensation which he denied. Customer: Mr. Allen, the reality is following the diagnosis that my dryer had a defective fuse, you provided two options for enabling the dryer to function normally without the part. I asked which option was the safest most efficient repair and made a choice based on your direction. Again, you implied the dryer would work as NORMAL until AFTER we paid for the repair, then you stated to only run the dryer for 30 minutes. The repair was meant to be a stop-gap toward purchasing a new unit. Using the dryer for the first time since your work the dryer turned off after 10 min. As your repair did not provide a functional solution, I'm requesting a refund of no less than $70 with you maintaining your diagnostic fee.
