I requested them to come out and replace my furnace pilot light. They come out and provide an estimate of the work with parts and labor. The repairwoman states I can purchase the part and have them install it. Seeing as though they are charging TRIPLE the amount for the part. I went with this option SHE provided. I get the part and call back and they tell me they won't install it!!!!!??? Wasting my money and time!!!!! Horrible service. Horrible customer service. Pathetic business practices. I called on Monday and by Wednesday my service was complete. All weather specialist are exceptional and went above and beyond. They replaced my ac condenser and coil and did fantastic work! My ac condenser area was over run with weeds and debris. Kevin and his crew cleaned the entire area and didn't charge or complain. My home is nice and cool and I'm extremely elated. I usually have to ask work men to wear shoe covers when trampling back and forth from the outdoors. Kevin placed covers on his feet without me asking! I used All Weather Specialsts a few years ago and received excellent service. So I contacted them again to check and clean my furnace. Christabel Rodriquez from All Weather Specialists came to my home on 9/12/2022 to do the job. I was charged and paid $99.95. He cleaned the igniter, recommended the furnace be replaced, and made an adjustment to a valve on the furnace. A couple of days later, I smelled gas. I did not smell gas before the appointment with All Weather Specialists. I contacted Peoples Gas and they dispatched a technician to my home. The Peoples Gas technician did a thorough inspection throughout my home and found a gas leak from the valve located on my furnace. read more

I wish there was a rating of zero. I have a home warranty and all weather specialist was my designated contractor. The contractor Bryan came out and diagnosed it and believed it to be a cracked heat exchanger. So much emphasis was placed on getting a new furnace even though I knew my warranty company would not pay for it because my furnace was only five years old. I was told that a request to my warranty company would be submitted for both and of course my warranty company approved the labor only for the heat exchanger because it was still under manufacturer warranty. I was then told by all weather that it could take 7 to 10 days for the part to come in which I understood but tried to make an appt in advance and was told that was not possible but to not worry because once they get the part then I will be on the priority list to have the job completed within one to two days. I get a call on the 7th day stating the part was in and that next available appt was seven days from then. I tried to get a sooner appt but it wasn't possible so I kept the appt. I received a call the morning of the appt stating the technician was picking up materials and will be on his way. Kevin then arrived to my home and told me that they didn't have the part and would have to take my old exchanger to the distributor to get the new one.an hour later stating that he doesn't have the part and he has to take my old heat exchanger to the distributor. (I was never initially told this upon scheduling my appt). He then looked at the area and told me it would take an additional 8 hours for labor because the area made it difficult to get to the furnace. He had his assistant call to get extra labor fees but my insurance company said I would have to pay 650 dollars out of my own pocket to pay for it. According to an invoice he sent me the amount listed 8 hrs of labor for 650 that he was going to bill out to the warranty company which in total would be 1300 dollars. I told the warranty company that I would call them back. After a bit I told him that I would do the 650 for the 8 additional hrs of labor. He proceeded to take the furnace apart and it took him less than 1/ 1/2 to have it removed where as my furnace was completely taken apart. . He started at 10 and removed it by 1130 am. He then told me he would be back because he was going to get the exchanger. I then had to call his office at 3 pm which was 3 1/2 hrs later and spoke to his receptionist and she connected him with me. He then said he had car trouble and had to assemble the exchanger which would take about 4-5 hours. At that point I was so upset because I wasn't sure if he was even working on my exchanger, he could have been out doing other jobs and he did not update me on what was going on throughout the time I was waiting in my cold house for THREE HOURS! I checked pricing online and found that the labor to replace this was anywhere from 400 to 700 dollars. After I realized that the warranty company was already paying 650 I told him this and even offered him 450 instead of the 650. He told me that I insulted him by getting other quotes and hung up on me. I refused to continue service with him as he did not appear to be reliable at all and was so disrespectful. He told me that he would drop my exchanger off at my front door in the morning and I informed him to drop it back off to the distributor because I didn't want to be responsible for anything missing. I was able to find a lovely contractor(smartmoves) who took a look at the mess he created and was able to get my old and new heat exchanger and fix the problem in 3 hrs. He did not charge me a fee for coming to my home and he hasn't even sent the invoice yet and the job was completed yesterday and the total price was 600 dollars. All weather will try to overcharge you so beware! read more

AWS just replaced the AC unit in my condo and I'm so pleased with their work and service. They were assigned to me through my warranty company after my AC system stopped working this summer, and I'm super grateful. They were incredibly responsive and helpful in walking me through the process (unlike my warranty co). They found issues the previous service techs missed and explained everything to me in plain English. This is company was assigned through my home warranty. They came out right away and diagnoses the problem. They said I had to wait for the part and to be scheduled and it would be about 5 days. They called on the day of the appointment and said he would not be able to do the job claming it was too tight of a space. When he was here I was telling him like I know the space is tight right and he said it wouldn't be a problem that he had to move the flute and other things and now they say they can't do it! I made an appointment over two weeks ago for a yearly servicing for my a/c and furnace. I originally made it for tomorrow but changed it to today. But to be sure there was no confusion, I called yesterday to confirm today's date and time. All Weather confirmed the date was today between 9:00 and 1:00. I called again today late morning and was told they would definitely be arriving before 1:00 and would phone me when they were close by. When no one showed up today by 1:00, I called to find out why. This time I was told the appointment was for tomorrow instead of today. Now, mistakes happen all the time, which is why I always confirm an appointment the day before. But if my date was wrong, why didn't All Weather point that out rather than confirm it... twice? If All Weather had taken the time to check their schedule, they would have seen that we didn't share the same appointment time... but obviously no one took that time. And I wouldn't have sat at home for four hours waiting for them to not show up. You are only as good as your team. If you run a business, you need a support staff that ensures the customer is given correct information. And when a customer complains, you don't tell them they are wrong and you are right... and you definitely don't hang up on them. What a disappointment. read more

The water in my humidifier that is attached to my furnace had leaked causing severe damage to the ceiling in another room. Crazy, I know but I live in a loft so my heating unit rest in a crawl space above my bathroom. I called and spoke directly with the owner Kevin, who was extremely courteous and professional. He was on time for our scheduled appointment and very helpful. My issue was resolved that day and I have not had another problem with my furnace. He educated me on the operation of my furnace based on cold air versus heated air, how often to change my filters, etc. This had nothing to do with the humidifier, but I learned a lot to ensure better usage of my furnace. I had an appointment with All Weather Specialist and they had an appointment before me, but was having problems but he said he would be there and he was. It took a week to get the part and we made an appointment for last Friday. Again he had an issue and said he would he would be there, well he never showed and never called. the next day on Saturday, I had to call to see when he as coming to fix my boiler. AAgain he could not make it and rescheduled for this coming Tuesday. I talked to his Secretary or whom ever she was a very nice lady. and I told her I should have been the 1st person on Saturday since he didn't make it on Friday. Mine you I never got a phone call from them to say I won't be coming on Friday or I will be out on Saturday to fix your boiler. I HAD TO CALL THEM and if he could not make it before Tuesday DON'T COME. Pros: friendly Cons: Spent months waiting for Kevin to fix my HVAC (not blowing heat and making a lot of noise). When he first came, he said there was no problem -- I had to convince him to fix it. Then, he said my HVAC unit was so old, he had to figure out where to get a new motor. 6 weeks later, I made 1 phone call and figured out what model number to use. He replaced the motor, but I still had no heat and the noise was even louder! He said the coil was beat down, couldn't be repaired, and the company didn't make them anymore so he'd have to figure out how to get it and what to do -- maybe take the whole unit in for repair. Thinking this was going to take another few months, I called in Breeze HVAC Co, who for $75 and 2 hours repaired/tightened the coils, and finally FIXED my unit without excuses or delay (same day service!). My building's maintenance team backflushed the unit for $40, while Kevin didn't know how to actually do this task (was asking the other repairmen how) in my unit was going to charge me $160! Would look elsewhere for prompt, efficient service. At least he waived the cleaning fee and put in the motor. read more

A technician came to my home for a problem with my air conditioner & I was told that I would need a new drip pan & coils replaced at a fee of $675.00. In Chicago, the week of January 17, 2016 the coldest and sharpest drop in temperatures of the Chicago winter, not like the previous week when Chicago was enjoying autumn days of temperatures, my heating system broke down. Let me tell you, some contractors you never call back because the service and professionalism of the technician is horrible!. But not this company. I ask for them by name. In the summer of 2014, I had a break in at my late father's home and the heating/air conditioner was badly damage. I immediately call All Weather Specialist and Kevin came out. He looked at my problem and worked with me and my insurance, quoted prices, and replaced the unit. He even repaired some areas around the unit and designed a widget to prevent future damage and theft!
